Was a great show! Air did an amazing job at their performance. The left speaker went out 3 times though - really distorted the sound.

Air was Amazing... Sound was SO-SO...

by WAYLIFE on 3/15/10Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

Air was just incredible! So professional and spot on every song. However, the sound was going in-and-out on stage right and was frustrating. Especially considering the audiophiles that listen to Air. Was a bit disappointing in that regard.

    Air was amazing!

Very great performance and happy that they had the balls to venture into Florida. It was a great turn out. Although the application said floor standing positions. There were seats where people should have been standing. And the diagram even said so. That was the only bummer. But still a fantastic event. Spanks!

Really impressed at how well they pull of their material in a live setting... Bass, although totally awesome on the Moog... was a tad loud. Great backing visuals, simple but highly effective. I highly Recommend

    Great Fun with Air

by wjc04c on 3/15/10Hard Rock Live Orlando - Orlando

It was a pleasant surprise when I found out Air was coming to Orlando. It was going to take place at Hard Rock Universal, which turned out to be a blessing and a curse. I would have much rather seen them at the Social or even House of Blues... My main gripe with Hard Rock was the floor seating. The bouncers were telling people to sit down, so I sat through an awesome Air concert, 6 rows back, seated. I wish the seated portion was in the balcony and those who wanted to stand and dance could be in a general admission area. At least the sound system and amenities were good. The opening act AM is a joke. I don't know how they got on this tour. They seemed like a cabana cover band or a bad wedding band, seriously. Must have been a label thing. The actual Air part of the show was amazing. They outdid my expectations. They had a very simple stage setup with just a few synths, drums, and an occasional gutiar/bass. Just three people on stage. Air, plus their longtime drummer (the same guy who plays in Beck's band). They played a wide assortment of songs from Moon Safari to Love 2. Surprisingly, they rocked out. Many of the songs were played about a 1/3 faster than normal and were very danceable, except everyone was seated. Also, it was loud, and somewhat psychedelic with subtle lighting effects and repeating geometeric/angular video art. They were very happy with the audience, it seemed. They seemed surprised to get so many cheers. They were having fun up there, and it carried over into the audience. They played a pretty long set, and then came back out for about 3 more songs. The band stayed on stage and bowed and mouthed 'merci' to a loud standing ovation, as the drummer came up to them and took a picture of the audience cheering. So overall, it was a great experience. Air was amazing. The seating thing was weird, and the opening act should be missed on purpose, but you should go to this show if you can; it's worth it.
