    Reliving the Temptations

by Mel on 2/10/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Wonderful time watching/listening to Aint too Proud... remebering the life and times in music history of the Temptations! DPAC in Durham,NC is always a fabulous place to see a show. The volunteers and employees can't do enough for you. Always helpful and very polite. Very clean environment , surrounded by multiple options to dine or grab a drink before a show. The show itself was amazing. The actors so true to the character they represented. And how can you go wrong with the music? It all combined for a fabulous evening!

    Tempting Temps

by CL on 2/10/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Very good performance. I had some trouble with the dialogue, sitting in Row V, Orchestra, but that may be just me. Very disappointed that VIP Parking went from $12 to $30, since last time. We had a temporary disability, so that would have helped.

    The ultimate

by David on 2/10/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

From the start to the finish, this was such an amazing, well produced and choreographed show and to find out at the end that it was live music by an amazing orchestra was such a plus. If you are a Motown and Temptations fanatic then this show is a must see. Ten stars in my opinion.

    Impressively Superb

by Marianne on 2/10/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Everything from the talented actors, choreographers, set designs and more that replicated the world the Temptations portrayed to us, the fans through to years, to the accommodating staff at DPAC made the evening fabulous! I must say, too, the hostess in the ladies bathroom moved us along like I’ve never seen to get us back in our seats by the second Act.

Was it Just My Imagination? NO

    by pb on 2/9/24

This was a superb thought-provoking and extremely entertaining performance. The changes between storyline and song/dance was excellent as was the transition of the cast. My guest proclaimed, "I wish they would do a show like this for many performers so we would know their story!"Absolutely. Pure talent by the cast with vocals and choreo. Glad to have seen it and it held the audience captivated the entire time, many of whom are elderly and with physical disabilities. Miraculous to see the pure enjoyment and reminiscing by patrons as well. Berry Gordy is 94 and Otis Williams 82 respectively as of this writing.

    Excellent show, great singers

by Skida on 2/7/24West Herr Auditorium Theatre at West Herr Performing Arts Center - Rochester

The show was definitely worth seeing. The singers were excellent and sounded just like the Temptations. Only criticism is that I paid for a parking space in advance through Ticketmaster but my GPS kept sending me to a different parking lot. I ended up having to pay $10 again for a lot that was next to the theater

    Great Event

by Debi on 2/7/24West Herr Auditorium Theatre at West Herr Performing Arts Center - Rochester

This was one of the BEST musicals I ever seen. It was right up there with Hamilton & Jersey Boys, if not better. The music was great, the performers very talented and entertaining. I would see this again & again if it returns to Rochester

    Ain't to proud to beg

by Jean on 2/7/24West Herr Auditorium Theatre at West Herr Performing Arts Center - Rochester

My experience was awesome. I enjoyed the musical experience very much. It certainly told the story of the temptations. Enjoyed every moment. Had perfect seats. Now the seats in the West Herr auditorium could be improved. I felt like a sardine and couldn't get comfortable. Otherwise every thing was good

    Pure Pleasure

by Cheryl on 2/6/24West Herr Auditorium Theatre at West Herr Performing Arts Center - Rochester

Seeing “Ain’t too Proud” was amazing ! Just loved the singing of all “The Temptations” and their dancing skills. I was a teenager when they started to sing and I remember listening to them on the radio, a transistor radio!! It was a special time for their music. I have to congratulate the actors because they did a marvelous job. It was a very physical show and I’m sure that they were very tired after their performance. Also, I loved the stage setting. You thought they were many places, but the setting didn’t change. Excellent! Thanks for delivering such a memorable performance.
