horrible experience. legacy arena should be held accountable
There were entirely too many minors without adult supervision that led to the fights and riots.
There was a shoota and I was bout to get shot. They told us to duck and it was scary
The game itself was fabulous. Our team won, then as everyone was exiting the arena there were gunshots. People in our group actually saw a man holding up a gun. People were trampled because a stampede followed. Multiple fights by the other team fighting each other. And the BJCC and bham pd are covering it up. Saying it was only the fights and barricades falling that caused the sounds that sounded like gunfire??! I heard it perfectly, I know what a gun sounds like. And like I said multiple people saw the man with the gun. It’s unreal to me that they would cover it up. I know the metal detectors weren’t working and the ones that were they just waved people through even if it went off. I don’t think I can attend an event there again. My family, my community are all traumatized. Scariest moment of my life. Yet they are brushing it all off like it didn’t happen. If you go to an event there, go at your own risk. But I won’t be going back there ever again.
I was attending the 6A Men’s State Championship game. Afterwards all hell broke loose when we heard what we believed to be gunshots inside the building on the concourse. Whether what we heard was actual gunshots or Emulated gunshot sounds, the fear was very real. Having to find my daughters was very real. Security is questionable at the arena to say the least. Buying tickets through Ticketmaster and having to download the app and transfer tickets to older family or friends is AWFUL. That process was an ordeal and needs to be changed.
There was a brawl at the BJCC after the 6A boys game. During the brawl there were gunshots and people scattered. The BJCC/BPD are covering it up because they want the security/staff to seem safe for everyone that will go for future events. The new security system is a joke. I walked through at the same time as another man and it went off. Instead of stopping both of us to check they only stopped him. The security detail was very relaxed. The renovations are nice, but that does not matter if you are going to allow stuff like that to happen. A lot of unaccompanied minors that were just hanging out in stairwells and concourse area.
It was so much fun watching this basketball game!!! I loved being able to sit with my friends and get hyped UP!😂 Our team won and that made all the difference!🤪The only thing I would say is that the concession stand prices were a little high.
Excellent way to purchase tickets for high school events. Quick and easy
Y’all have the worst referees in the world and it’s ridiculous.
Went to watch the games with friends and we had a great time. Only issue is the seat I first sat in in was broken and completely unattached from the frame. I moved after 3 games and all was well.
We had a good experience at the basketball game but the chaos that occurred during and after was a turnoff. I even stated this may be my last time attending due to all the drama out in the concourse. There may need to be some changes when it comes to youth hanging out.
Security line was organized. Long line but moved quickly. Once inside, general admission seating was easy to navigate. My team lost, but the experience was great.
Great games, Great seats. Awesome !!! oK food but no place to eat the food. For a person of family staying the whild day. We need more than pop corn, hot dogs and burgers, and we need to sit and eat, between games or games to plan to attend.
Nice!! Everything was just beautiful!! Food was good!
Venue was very nice. Concessions were okay. I am sad because the Valley Lady Rams lost.
