AHL All Star Experience was shining!!

by JPaulLeBlanc on 2/2/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The overall event went very well. Sound system had a bit of an issue but the hockey was fantastic, the mascots entertaining, and Atlantic City a great host city for the event. Excellent job.

Loved seeing one of our Phantoms players in action

by Flyers48 on 2/2/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

We used to be season ticket holders of the Philadelphia Phantoms. They have moved to Glen Falls,NY temporarily and it was great being able to see one of our players in action again during the AHL All Star weekend..

    Great Party

by Middlevillain on 2/1/12Caesars Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Enjoyed the free beer and food. Meeting the players was awesome took some pics struck up some conversation with some of them and some were really honest and sincere. for the price it was so worth it i would do it every year if i could. And you know the kind of women hockey players draw in so the scenery was awesome as well.

    Awesome events

by Middlevillain on 2/1/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The skills competition was great as was the game. They really cater to the children as well. It was fantastic to see all the young talent. i thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend it to anyone who loves the great sport of hockey. Thats not including the post skills party, for anyone who is a fan of the AHL and its players there is no better place to meet your favorites or find some new favorites. The players are so polite and willing to go the extra mile for us fans. I spoke with a few of them and also took some pics. one player stands out in my mind, i didn't know him before but after speaking with him for like 20 minutes i'll never forget him, his name? Mark Barberio #8 for the east what a great guy and talent i hope he makes it to the NHL he deserves it.

    not worth the price

by yournicknamehasAlreadyvvv on 2/1/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

didn't sell out so cheaper tickets became available after the fact. Teams both played terrible. mascots from every team were running around so it became hard to watch the game.

The all-star competition and game were enjoyable. Players themselves could have done a little more to entertain specifically during the Skills Competition. AHL and Mascots did a great job with interaction between Team Mascots and fans. Made it a real family atmosphere. At the end of the Skills Comp fans had opportunity to meet players at ice and get autographs and pictures.

    AHL ALL-Stars, great family fun!

by KABSP on 2/1/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

We purchased a family 4-pack for the AHL All-Star game. The game was good, not the most exciting hockey game I've watched. But, I imagine that is normal for an All-Star game. However, the whole experience was a great family event and worth attending as this was the first held in our local area. Our kids are teenagers (who like to act unimpressed). But, they got a good chuckle out of all the AHL Mascots parading around, getting the fans to make some noise and "yucking" it up during period intermissions. In the end, they both said it was alot of fun.

    AHL All Star Game

by JohnD1118 on 2/1/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The venue was ideal, because it was intimate and very fan friendly. More people should really checkout the AHL. The Boardwalk Hall was clean and like I stated earlier intimate. Not really a bad seat.

    AHL All-Star Game was amazing!!!

by mplfs93 on 1/31/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

I got to meet some hockey greats at the arena. All the players signed autographs for the fans. Great seats at great prices. I hope the AHL will come back to Boardwalk Hall again in Atlantic City.

    be careful where you sit

by hockeylvr5 on 1/31/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The game, skills competition and party were great. The players were friendly at every event and gave autographs whenever asked. WE chose to purchase front row seats. Unfortunately our seats were at the curve in the ice while our seats still went straight. We had two camera men blocking our view. (section 103 seats 3-6). Customer service tried their best to place us in other seats. They could not give us front row like we wanted, but did provide us with 2nd row seats, that were a much better view than the camera man's back. Other than that the event was well put together and everyone in our party had fun. My nephew even got to sit in the penalty box.

    First class hockey fun

by Shauner on 1/31/12Caesars Atlantic City - Atlantic City

The after party was a great event to celebrate the AHL All Stars coming. To Atlantic City. The party had great food and plenty of it with short, if any, lines. Corn dogs and buffalo chicken nuggets were awesome and the hot dogs were incredibly big. There was air hockey and wii hockey set up for the kids and pretty good music and the skills match was replaying on two screens. The players were great and so was all of the staff. The only downside was the line for the bars was very, very long but honestly not bad for free beer (included but cocktails and wine were $8 and $10). (I waited in longer lines to get free water at the DMB Caravan.) I also have to mention that it seemed like Bob Clarke and Bill Barber skipped out on the event. There was no indication that they would be there but that would have truly made it an All Star party. There was lots of photo opportunities with mascots and players which was pretty awesome for everyone. The players seemed to be having fun and people were cool about leaving them alone when they were with their families. Overall it was pretty cool.

All Stars Lived Up To Their Billing

by SandInToes on 1/31/12Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

WOW... the events were great. Fantastic time with the family. Loved being able to interact with the players after the skills competition. All of them were very gracious, signing autographs for all that wanted them. I'd like to mention Michael Leighton as being outstanding! The players were supposed to stay out and sign autographs for 20 minutes. Leighton stayed out for at least 40. There were SO many fans that wanted to see him, and he was most gracious, making sure that all of his fans had the opportunito to say hello. Great guy. Hope he gets back up to the big league soon. The only negative from the entire weekend was the prices that the concessions charged. Beers were $8. Water, $3.50... Hot Dogs were $4...That was the AHL all star game... not the big league... come on now!!!! $8 for a beer???

the ahl all star game never ceases to entertain...the autograph session are amazing not only for fans but to watch as the kids fawn over the hockey stars. they are so gracious and take the time to sign each and every piece of memorabilia handed to them by the fans in attendance.
