About

Extreme alt-rock outfit AFI, short for A Fire Inside, continue to keep their punk rock spirit alive after more than two decades together. The four-piece California band, impressively composed of the same lineup since 1998, has revitalized hardcore punk ever since their 1991 beginning, though the crew didn’t see mainstream success until their 2003 platinum-selling “Sing the Sorrow.”

Since that time, AFI has satiated ticket holders at amped up concerts nationwide, either on their own headlining runs or as part of the Vans Warped Tour on several occasions.

After a four-year recording hiatus, AFI unveiled its ninth studio set, “Burials,” in October 2013. The collection, produced by Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World), peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Some tracks on the Republic Records release (“17 Crimes” and “I Hope You Suffer” for example) lean more toward hard rock than horror punk or goth-punk, both labels AFI’s received with past work.

Absolutely unreal once in a lifetime show

by MikiKat on 3/14/23Kia Forum - Inglewood

This show was incredible, the energy from the band and the full setlist really brought me back to being an angsty teenager and i really cherished being able to relieve that feeling at the Sing the Sorrow show.

    BEST NIGHT EVER

by Corey Crocks on 3/14/23Kia Forum - Inglewood

Show was amazing. Been an AFI fan since I was a kid. 37 years old now and I still love the band like the first time I ever heard them. AFI has gotten me through some of the most horrible heartbreaking times in my life. I owe everything to this band.

    I Rocked Like 17!

    by JB on 1/21/23

I’ve been wanting to go to an AFI show since I was a teen. I’m a little bit older now, so when I heard they were coming into town I had to see them. Great show, great energy, great vibes. The moshing pit kept in the circle, all the songs were great. Such a good time.

    Absolutely Amazing As Always

    by L.Rose on 12/14/22Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

This band is never a disappointment. They have so much energy and connections with the crowd. Buckhead theater was an amazing venue for them. If you have a chance to see AFI don’t hesitate. Especially if they are headlining their own tour.

    Far too short

by Charlie on 12/8/22Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I have followed this band for a long but never seen them perform a headline set. I find it mind boggling that all this band could muster is 17 songs, 1 hour and 10 minutes, especially given that they have played about 60 different songs over the course of this tour. Good energy from the band, but one of the shortest headline sets I have ever seen. Your fans deserve better.

Overall great experience at Buckhead Theater

by MissMarauder on 12/7/22Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

This was our first time at Buckhead Theater and we were pretty impressed. Everything was ran efficiently and the staff was great. We were running late and had to skip dinner beforehand so we were pleasantly surprised to see they served food and that the food and drinks were very good. We had tickets on the second row of the balcony which was a great view of the stage and the mosh pit below until someone on the front row came in late and decided to stand and dance the entire show obstructing my view almost entirely. I looked behind me and the people behind me couldn't see either because of the person standing so they were standing as well so when I realized I wouldn't be blocking those behind me I stood as well just so I could see. This isn't a venue complaint but obviously a frustration with an inconsiderate person who should have been downstairs where it is standing room only. AFI was fantastic as always, this was my second time seeing them live and I recommend them to everyone because they put on a great show. Also, something cool was when we were standing in line for merch the person working said that AFI came out about 30 minutes earlier and signed the posters for sale. Thought that was a cool surprise. Overall I absolutely would go to this venue again, but next time I will make sure to purchase the front row of the balcony so that I can stay seated and others behind me can as well.

    Among Friends

by DellaMorte on 12/6/22House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I loved how the concert was like an adult sing-along. Being surrounded by a packed-out room full of people who love the same songs that you do, and singing along with them, is like having an out of body experience. Davey always brings so much energy to the stage and to the room. I just wish the venue was a little larger.

I love AFi . They are amazing, though I feel the set could have been longer . I thought the wait time outside was a little long pres show and the drinks were expensive, but overall it was a good experience.

    ❤️

by Lady Vixenisa on 12/5/22Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

AFI always give the best performance, my trifecta for seeing them. Had an awesome experience, but the prices for drinks at Buckhead Theatre are a bit outrageous. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing
