The show started an hour and a half late. I don't mean it took that long for Aesop to come out, I mean the crowd was literally just standing there waiting for 90 minutes, with no opening act or even a DJ. I understand that shows rarely start on time, but at least give the audience SOME kind of entertainment while they wait.
When Aes and Rob finally did take the stage, I was very disappointed in the vocal mix. It was completely incomprehensible because it was so muddy. If you didn't know the lyrics to a song already, you weren't going to understand a single word. All of this could have been fixed with just a minute or two of tinkering with the EQ, but no one took it upon themselves to make this happen. Ultimately, I felt like DJ Big Wiz stole the show because all you could hear was the beat anyway. Aes and Rob gave a decent performance, although the set-list could have used some tinkering.
To be fair, this was the first show of the tour, so hopefully they'll get into the swing of things (and take 10 damn minutes to do a proper soundcheck.)
