Overall good! Some areas to improve.

by PandaBehr on 6/1/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

As a disabled attendee, I was worried about navigating a fest on the beach. ADA accommodations were surprisingly good, especially for a first year fest. I would have loved a pathway to the beach and to more of the vendors, but the important stuff was accessible. Staff was great, helpful, and friendly. I noticed quick and diligent course corrections and changes just from day 1 to day 2 which I appreciated (ex: day 2 management of the merch line across the pathway). Main stage ADA would have been nice with a better view, but I realize that may not have been possible here. My biggest ask is that the ADA entrance also be clearly marked and restricted for ADA only exit as well, at least for a period of time before opening for use by others to exit. Staff did their best on night 2 to manage this, but I noticed some attendees becoming argumentative and aggressive with them when asked to use another exit. Disabled patrons struggled to exit safely, and there was a clear lack of respect or regard by some patrons that should have been barred from using that exit from the start. Overall the fest was great! We had a good time, and many of the challenges I've experienced at other fests were not an issue here. Really appreciated the partial shade over main stage ADA. Thank you!

    Amazing time

by Kev Doc on 6/1/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Great time with amazing bands. Would definitely do it again. I know a lot of people were initially pissed that they paid $400 dollars for both days when tickets went on sale and got nothing in return, but it was all worth it. Would definitely go again

    Great performances, poor layout

by Kt on 6/1/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

The lineup was really fun! All the artists had great stage presence and we could hear them clearly. The merch stand had a 3.5+ hour wait on day one since there was no line system and people kept barging in on the sides

    It was amazing

by Hermann on 6/1/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Nice structure but consider increase de height from the main stage, we can’t see the artists clear even we were close to the stage. And avoid to put the food service in front of stage

For a first time festival, it was really fun!

by Kasey on 6/1/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Overall my experience at this festival was good. There were a few things I would recommend changing. One thing is the merch situation. The merch line was at least an hour long at all times, there was only one booth when there should've been a few. There could replace some of the bar booths with merch booths, there was far to many bar booths. While it was nice to never wait in a line for a drink, they could have replaced some with merch booths to help with the lines. The other thing is the VIP section should be smaller. While I understand you're paying more for that ticket, the VIP took up a lot of space at the main stage. It was very tight in the GA part, especially with food trucks right behind the sound booth. It was overcrowded and hard to see. Other than that, it was overall a good experience. The line up was a great mix of bands and they all performed in a timely manor. Im looking forward to next year!

Not bad for first year jitters. Room for improvement

by This_is_not_Wong on 6/1/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

First, the lineup for this year (2023) was really solid. Blink was the main attraction for us. But also Paramore, Jimmy, Turnstile, Bleachers, Serpent, etc etc. Great value for the money! Location was good...and by that, I mean the beach. Weather could have been better, but the organizers had zero control over that. Atlantic City was everything I expected it to be. What could be improved: communication. Some examples; the emails said VIP would have advance access to merch. That was not the case. One of the 'vip gifts' was the official festival poster. We were not made aware of that until after we had already purchased one. Regarding merch; the booth in the VIP had a very limited selection of official festival merch, that's it. The main merch tent had twice as many official options and ALL of the artist merch. So I bought a shirt at the VIP tent, because the line was 1/10 of the main tent, thinking those were my only options. Only to stand in line at the main merch tent for 2 hours to discover another shirt I would have preferred. Of course, there was no option to exchange even though I had made my original purchase earlier that same day.

    Good but could’ve used…

by Slimshady on 6/1/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

It was a solid event for its first year. It can only improve! But for future reference, I think maybe maps would be helpful like printed if needed instead of a vague version on the phone. Or if it is on the phone; just something more detailed would be good. Also, 2 official merch tables would be good since I waited in line for an hour for the one and only table. Otherwise it was great. Loved it.

    Overall great

by Lauren on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

I think that there should be more areas for merch sales and more water stations. Other than that lines weren’t too bad and it was a great first run for the adjacent festival.

    Incredible weekend!

by Green mohawk Greg on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Adjacent was awesome! Great lineup, unique venue, and wonderful people, all executed flawlessly (especially for a first year festival)! I met so many new friends, enjoyed the beautiful weather on the beach, and saw a ton of fantastic bands - some that I've seen before, some that I haven't, some that were reuniting after years away, and others still that I had never even heard of but left a memorable impression! Can't wait for next year!!!

Fantastic show with great bands, absolutely worth every penn

by A. B. on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Saw some of my favorite bands, loved this show; will definitely be returning. Only improvements i think could be made are: Stage should be much higher as it is tough to see over the crowd due to the uneven terrain of the sand/beach. They could also flatten the sand before show as it very difficult to move through. Other than that it was still an amazing experience 🖤

THIS IS WHY I loved Adjacent Fest!

by Jesse F on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Great Location. Great Lineup. Great Setup. Great food & drink options. Great weather. Everyone from the main entrance crew to the vendors to the medical staff and security did an amazing job. Everyone was professional & helpful and the event ran smoothly and safely. My only criticism would be to have a secondary location on the beach for more merch so the lines could be split up between the two rather than so many people waiting so long on just the 1 line. And then if it were somehow possible to eventually add a 3rd day and make it a Fri-Sun event, would be amazing! It was definitely well worth the money & having the payment plan for the tickets was a huge help too! Can’t wait for next year and to bring even more people next time!

    Awesome

by Firefly Guy on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Setting was perfect for a festival. Sand, ocean, music, and plenty of amenities to enjoy. Nice plus to have great hotels available to rest and relax while gearing up for the event.

    Excellent tiem

by Thomas DeVuono on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

The bands were great, very into the festival and all put on a great show. Good line up and a nice mix of genres. Plentiful bathrooms made it so the lines were short to non-existent. Lots of tasty food options, short lines everywhere so easy to buy and try lots of things. So many bars, loved this, easy to get a drink at any time. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Only critique was the sound on the main stage, felt the mix was sometimes off. Vocals needed to be boosted a bit. Otherwise and excellent first time festival, they nailed it!

    Beach Fest

Great experience! Lines only sucked at merch. Highly recommend more than one merch booth next year. Besides that it was sick 🤘🏼

    Incredible Music, Disorganized festival

by Michelle on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

This weekend I attended the Adjacent Festival in Atlantic City on 5/27 and 5/28. The festival market is incredibly saturated and competitive so at this point I am holding all festivals to a high standard. Especially one run by TicketMaster. While the music acts were incredible, the festival itself in my opinion was disorganized and treated its customers poorly. First, upon arriving at 11:30 AM to get in line to enter the festival at the doors time (12:00 PM) more than enough time to see my favorite band at 1:00 PM. To be clear I planned an hour and a half of extra time to ensure that I could get inside by the time my favorite band was to play, Drug Church. We discovered after waiting more than an hour that they were not even letting people in at the doors time. The rumor was that the scanners were not working. People did not start entering the festival until at least 12:45 which was 15 minutes after the first band was supposed to start playing, so they played to very little or no people, kind of insane to pay several hundred dollars to not be able to see all the content that I was promised and paid for, but ok. Then we get inside to try and seek out water to fill our water bottles that we were told we could bring expecting to be able to access water freely. Nope, the line for water was more than an hour. By the second day this had died down, but one water stand????? **It turns out there were more, but where were they? Not in an easily accessible place and they still only had 4 spigots. So potentially 12 water spigots for 20,000 people. Not to mention that there were signs posted reminding you to stay hydrated. There were at least 50 places to purchase alcohol and water, but no places for the free water we were supposed to be able to access. To be clear between my whole group we probably spent close to 500 on alcohol and food which is to be expected, but water access should be free and easy. Especially to prevent dehydration which is incredibly common at festivals. It was also advertised that re-entry was allowed. Turns out, more restrictions that were not communicated prior to the festival beginning. You could only exit and reenter once AND it must occur before 6 PM. Except that this was not entirely true, many fans re entered after 6 pm. I was not able to do even that because my tickets were transferred. Even though I paid for them somehow a transfer downgrades my customer status. So the food and water I planned to have in my car was not available to me because of another uncommunicated restriction. Ok now I'm stuck inside this festival for at least 12 hours so I expect my basic needs (food, water, bathrooms) to be available to me without too much waiting or effort. Lines for food and water insanely long, toilet paper ran out of porta potties by 2 pm each day. It just seems kind of insane to me that a festival being run by the largest concert provider in the country, maybe the world can't even budget enough for toilet paper. If you make a mistake as an event planner you need to communicate it to your customers and make it right. We deserve a partial refund or credit towards another event.

    Great!

by Best of me on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Great concert, great venue, love the side by side stages. All bands plays promptly at their scheduled time. Port o potty’s needed to be restocked with toilet paper. :)

Bands were great, hard to get a good view.

by Sabrina on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

The bands were awesome and there were plenty of places to use to bathroom and multiple bars sets up to make it easier to get drinks if needed. The only semi complaint that I have (which is to be a little expected, I guess) is that there really wasn’t anywhere to get a good view. Since you’re on the beach you’re on a flat surface and the stages are up high, the crowd was thick for the headliners, of course, so you’re just in a sea of people on the beach trying to get a glimpse of you can. Even when you’re in the front it wasn’t the best view. But also like… what are you really gonna do? You’re on the beach but keep that in mind if you choose to see a show in this type of venue. All in all we had a great time.

    A really great time

by N8TRU on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

I was able to get a ticket for $99 which was an excellent deal. I think $212 was a bit much for 1 day for me which is why I waited so long. My only criticisms were that the main stage didn't sound very good except for Knocked Loose and another walkway would be very helpful because the sand was pretty difficult to walk in. Even though there was 1 water station I never had to wait more than 2 minutes for water. I think the venue lost a lot on merch sales because the line was always extremely long for that. I don't have constructive criticism on how to fix this, but it could use some help. Maybe a way to pay online and pick it up at a different line? Otherwise I had a great time and I'm glad this happened! Candy, Soul Glo, Knocked Loose, Turnstile, Hot Milk, Blink-182, and Incendiary were my favorites of the day.

    New festival that needs work

by Festival Guru on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Before I say what I have to say, I had a great time. 1. They need more bathrooms. 2. A lot more water stations. 3. They should have made the main stage bigger (wider) and moved it over a tiny bit towards the water to allow more room. 4. Create a small Merch tent that sells just hoodies, Cali Vibes festival did just that.

    Great!

by Tgan on 5/31/23Atlantic City Beach - Atlantic City

Only bad thing was sound left side of stage was not working properly and couldnt hear bands as well later in the day but seemed to be resolved Sunday! Another critique is that I wish some of the vendors in the middle main stage was pushed back a little further for more center stage room.
