About

Power, passion, a sense of style as well as funÑ they're all part of the package when you buy a ticket to Adam Lambert concert. Since first displaying his singular and uncontainable talent on the American Idol stage in the show's eighth season, the San Diego-raised glam rocker has laid down the gauntlet to any and all modern performers looking to thrill audiences. Born with a preternatural confidence that belied his years, Lambert burst out of the gate with 2009 For Your Entertainment, which showed off his dance floor strut and pop star sheen, while 2012's Trespassing gave him an opportunity to workout his first-in-class tenor on emotion-laden ballads as well as funk rockers. (The album's lead single "Better Than I Know Myself" showed Lambert at perhaps his most vulnerable and heartfelt). But as much as he may thrive in the studio, it is on tour that Lambert, who can rightfully consider himself the pop disciple of Madonna and Michael Jackson, truly flourishes. He may be fully made-up in the glam regalia that is so much a part of the Adam Labert experience, but it is his voice that always commands attention. Built to fill stadiums but equally at home in clubs, it is a voice meant to not just to awe you its range and power, but also move you with its control and emotional complexity.

  • SPECTACULAR! So Nothing New LOL

by Laurielllen on 10/27/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Adam Lambert in San Diego was SPECTACULAR, as always. Hearing some new covers was fun. Loved Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode. And his wardrobe was GENIUS. Adam's new song, a cover of MAD ABOUT THE BOY, is haunting and beautiful. We were sitting in the second row of the balcony right in the center. We had to cover our eyes because of the spotlights and the seizure inducing strobes.

  • Like a big budget Vegas show

by Grantbent on 10/27/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 4 out of 5

Started over the top with the Halloween theme and then devolved into a few Queen tunes and some showcase numbers but, at its core, it's really that amazing voice that keeps drawing you in. The lighting and choreography at the beginning really amped up the audience's anticipation that the entire show was going to be themed as a horror spooktacular (a la Michael Jackson's Thriller) but maybe that was too much of an expectation to put on this young talent. It really had the makings of a high-end Vegas show and the sound amplification and lighting was top-notch. Even though we were seated in the balcony of the Balboa Theater in San Diego, I had no trouble following the words of the songs, I am not as much a fan of the programmed background voices because there is no room for jamming on stage in a live performance. You can't have it all but if Adam and his band are going with a fully programmed production, then I would carry the Halloween theme through the entire affair.

  • Great Show!

by Antoinette on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Adam is amazing and this venue was awesome! I loved every minute of it and the staff at the venue were nice and helpful. Great smaller venue too so we all felt like we were closer to Adam himself. Wonderful concert!

  • Awesome Show!

by Grape Ape on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say? Adam always puts on a killer show. Sexy dancers, lighting, talented musicians, crazy costumes, fun song choices, and of course...a voice that can melt butter or slay dragons! It was highly entertaining and an all-around fabulous show.

  • The best voice out there

by Homby on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Really the best voice I ever heard. The Show was amazing

  • Lots of great effects: lights, costumes, energy.

by Nettie on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 3 out of 5

The seats in the Loge were great. Loved Adam's outfits, his voice as strong as ever. The band was terrific and the two dancers were entertaining. I felt that the show was too short, and being older, it was very loud. I wish Adam had sung more of his older songs and maybe a little more Queen.

  • The Extraordinary ADAM LAMBERT

by RonMuse on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Adam Lambert truly has no equal. He is a towering talent with voice and artistry that evokes emotion like no other. His charisma, connection to an audience and generosity of spirit fill whatever the venue is…and would be the same if playing to 2 thousand or 2 million!! He can sing every genre and give old songs new life. Adam is simply the best!!!

  • What a show!

by Bethany on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Smaller venue in San Diego, security and theater well staffed making check in a breeze. Show started a little late but no one cared, Adam sang for almost 1.5 hours straight! The band and lighting was perfect, sound was amazing and Adam delivered a show where you didn’t want to sit down. From Queen to personal projects it was one hit after another!

  • Always spectacular

by Melisende on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

There is no better male pop/rock singer around than Adam. He includes multiple genres in his show and nails them all. Theatrical, flamboyant, glittery, fun, astonishing talent - one of the best shows ever.

  • Was very nice.

by Jimmy James on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 4 out of 5

Adam is very talented and I enjoyed the show a lot, but it seems like some of the songs didn't use the ability of Adam's vocal range and feel that his career could do better if he focuses on this. Some of the songs did use Adam's vocal range like "MAD ABOUT THE BOY", which I thought was impeccable. Keep this up Adam we love you.

  • Witch Hunt

by MMC on 10/26/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Adam Lambert put on a high energy show for a sold out hometown crowd. Over the top costumes, cover songs and his own hits delivered with his spectacular voice had the audience on their feet dancing and cheering. Adam is a great entertainer.

  • Adam Lambert rocks!

Adam Lambert put on a GREAT show!! His voice is still tremendous! One of my all time favorites. The band members were top notch as were the dancers! Loved his costume changes and humor. Hope he comes back home to play in San Diego again soon!

  • Horribl

    by S. M. on 10/25/22Rating: 2 out of 5

Saw Adam lambert at Agua Caliente casino. He didn’t play long enough. —an hour and 20 minutes! Ripped off for the amount of money I spent on this concert. He Didn’t sing any Queen songs (or maybe sang one familiar song). I Wouldn’t recommend him unless maybe it’s in Las Vegas. He does have Good voice, of course.

  • Incredible voice!

by Debster on 10/24/22Hard Rock Live Sacramento - WheatlandRating: 4 out of 5

Adam sounded and looked amazing! My only negative comment was it wasn’t long enough! It was a short show, but he did not disappoint in all other aspects!
