Hopefully it was just a bad night!

by DisappointedAdamAntfan on 10/2/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

I'm not sure if I've ever witnessed a band performing who never interacted or even made eye contact with each other once during their performance. Adam Ant seemed pissed and rarely, if ever, made eye contact with the crowd and barely spoke to the audience or smiled. I don't blame him in a way because the audience was lame. All the people in the front rows were sitting down throughout the whole show as if they were watching TV and not participating or dancing. When the band played their last song they stormed off the stage without saying goodbye or anything. It was confusing. I was a big fan of Adam and the Ants but never got to see them during their heyday. This was a sad first time. Adam was out of breath through most of the songs and the band's sound and stage performance was mediocre at best. They seemed thrown together at the last minute. Adam was dressed like a pirate but the guitar and bass player were wearing jeans and a T-shirt. He had a girl who made many costume changes into Halloween store fetish outfits - not real fetish - like rubber. It was so disappointing on so many levels. I still danced and tried to support the band and have a good time regardless.

    Adam Ant still has it.

by Jdhodpa on 10/1/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

Great set. Something for everyone from casual fans to hardcore followers. Adam and his band looked good and sounded great. Venue was a little cheesy with folding chairs, but the sound was quite good. Hard to believe that Adam has been away for so long.

    Adam Ant was Amazing!!!

by lauralei2 on 10/1/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

Adam & and his band were simply amazing!! It was a FANTASTIC show. The audience could have held back less, and danced more. Because the music was amazing!! Two drummers, and Yola, the female drummer, killed it. She was fantastic!! My hubbie loved the singing and costume changes of Georgie girl. She was beautiful, but let's get back to Adam....his performance ROCKED. You should not miss the opportunity to catch this show!!! The casino venue was awful, in that you had to walk through a smoke filled casino to get to the concert area. But worth it for Adam.

    Back and Better Than Ever!

by rickyr1969 on 10/1/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

The place holds about 1,200 people and looked about 90% full...it took almost half a dozen songs before people started dancing on their feet but once they started they never sat back down. The setlist was awesome, most of the hits were played along with some newer tracks and some songs from way back in the day. The band was awesome and added a fresh take on his biggest hits. I've been to hundreds of concerts over the last 30 years and this was one of the best. The band played for over two hours and we didn't want it to end. If you can don't miss this tour.

    One of the best concerts

by Donnadfd on 10/1/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

He was terrific, His staff and the staff at the casion were also terrific. I have always deeply admired this madman for standing up for himself. He was open about his mental illness durring a time when others did not speak about it. He was also open about enjoying Kink decades before Shades of Grey. He also seems to beleive in freedom of thought and expression and is an idol. And now as an elder he still waves the flag of individuality better than ever. He refuses to be ashamed of being human, imperfect and loving all the joys and sorrows life brings.

    Adam Ant exceeded expectations

by twosday on 9/30/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

Wasn't sure what to expect based on friends reviews from prior tour but he looked and sounded pretty darn good. The crowd seemed pleased. Mixed audience women and men (not just because their dates dragged them) all dancin to the old and new tunes alike. Truly enjoyable!!!

    Fantastic!

by Christina4205 on 9/30/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

Such a wonderful show. The venue was intimate enough to make the show feel up-close and personal, yet large enough to fill the room with such incredible music. I'm so glad that I went and was able to see the legend that formed my appreciation for punk/rock/everything but the kitchen-sink music. Didn't sit down once! Would have liked more options for souvenirs, but the prices weren't bad for what was available.

Adam Ant, the dandy highwayman rocked the house!

by AntsInvasion on 9/30/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

Adam Ant was fantastic! He played all my favorites including; Beat My Guest, Ant Music, Kings of the Wild Frontier, Strip and Stand and Deliver. He rocked!! He was all I expected and more! My only criticism of the show was that the tickets said 8:00 pm, which meant we missed the opening act, who started at 7:00. That was very annoying and this needs to be corrected for future shows. The venue itself was great!

Cranked it up to 11... INDOORS

by BetrayedLifelongFan on 9/30/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

Adam Ant cranked it to 11! The problem is that we were in a theater, and not a stadium, About 75% of the 'songs' were indistinguishable noise, while the other quarter were only marginally recognizable. I was severely disappointed. I came of age when Adam Ant was new, and I was looking forward to an evening of nostalgia. What I got was some of the worst sound engineering that I've suffered.... ever. Next time, bring in some sound engineers from the Fillmore Theater in Miami Beach. The B52s, David Byrne, and Joe Jackson were outstanding. There is absolutely no excuse for Adam Ant to sound like a high school grunge band.

    Goody goody too fun

by DeadAnt on 9/30/12Seminole Coconut Creek Casino - Coconut Creek

It was like an amazing pub band with a charismatic glam rocker. Lots of people up and dancing to 30 year old hits. The sound was a bit muddy, but he kept it fresh. New stuff sounded good too.

    Adam Ant was awesome!!

by romahon on 9/30/12Hard Rock Cafe Tampa at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa - Tampa

From the moment he took the stage, Adam Ant gave an amazing performance!! He performed for over 2 hours non-stop, singing all of his older songs, and new ones as well. He still has all of the charm that he had back in the eighties, keeping his audience captivated. It was an awesome experience!!

    Adam Ant 2.0

by JefeTheBandito on 9/30/12Seminole Casino - Coconut Creek

First off I want to emphasize that I'm a huge, but honest, Adam Ant fan. With the exception of 'Dirk Wears White Sox', I have every studio album he ever recorded including the drum machine backed 'Manners & Physique'. The second I heard Adam Ant's music as a teen in 1981, I was drawn to the incredible Burundi drum beats, the guitar work and raw edge of the lyrics and vocals. I first saw him in 1983 right after 'Friend Or Foe' came out, at Adam Ant's height of popularity. That was most incredible show I had ever seen up to that point. The drummers were in perfect sync, the horn section was incredible and his stage prescence was magnetic. Fast forward 30 years. The only artist that I can fairly compare him to in a certain way is David Bowie. Bowie had his 'Ziggy Stardust' persona but morphed it over time to the 'Slim White Duke' and eventually to neoclassicist Bowie. I thought that's where Adam was going when you look at the album covers like 'Strip', 'Vive Le Rock' and 'Wonderful'. Honestly, as I was watching the concert on Friday, I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't watching Johnny Depp in a scene from 'Pirates Of The Caribbean'. Most of the songs were played way too fast. Rather than the band singing background chants in the classics from 'Kings Of The Wild Frontier' through 'Friend Or Foe', the audience was filling in. The drummers appeared to be playing different things rather than appearing to be in sync and songs that were recorded with horns (i.e. 'Desperate But Not Serious') were terribly missed. I'd rather have seen a keybord player playing the missing horns on a synthesizer, after all keyboards today can sound like anything you want them to, than seeing some female singer who seemed to do more gyrating than singing. I feel that if Marco Pirroni, who always seemed to be Adam's musical advisor and friend, was part of this tour he'd set Adam's band right. Yes, as I said, I'm a huge Adam Ant fan and I know a lot about his music and him. I feel that us hardcore devotees from the 80's will leave the concert feeling empty like I did. I've seen Paul McCartney several times and he gives you exactly what you expect each time, and you know what, he's got the same number of musicians on stage as Adam. I have a certain philosophy; either do it right or don't do it at all.

    Adam Ant is a god!

by ANGVU on 9/27/124th and B - San Diego

though the tickets stated the show starts at 8pm the opening band didnt start until 9pm and Adam didn't start until 10pm. Either way Adam Ant is still amazing after all these years. It made me fall in love with him and the music all over again. He played 29 songs!! He did a great . It was well worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to san diego and the hotel cost.

Mr. Goddard, aka Adam Ant was phenomenal! It took 25 years & waiting in a sweat box, but the show was " wonderful"!
