My husband and I attended this event. We've never been to anything like this. The red carpet and watching the stars get out of their cars was awesome. Small scale compared to what you see on tv but ok because my husband doesn't like crowds. We have been to the Ryman before so we knew that there are no bad seats. Very Interesting show. We learned stuff about what goes into our favorite shows and cds. It was also nice seeing other great performers honor and sing songs that were not their own. Wasn't really sure what to expect but we were not disappointed. Justin Moore was the only one that came out and shook hands with everyone.

    Love to hear backgrounds

by TerryLS on 9/12/14Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

We always enjoy hearing the background stories about many of the individuals often behind the scenes. Song writers, producers, etc. are often unknown. The ACM honors event brings these parties into the limelight. Hearing their stories are very entertaining. This comes with an added bonus of the tributes put on by some of old and new artists.

    Amazing Talent

    by MaryLP3 on 9/12/14Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

This was our first ACM Honors so we really did not know what to expect. We were amazed at the diversity of the honorees. We really enjoyed the background/contribution films that preceded many of the honorees . It was exciting to discover the backstories of those individuals who help "create the hits" and back the artists. The music industry, we discovered, is much more than a song and a singer. Truly an enjoyable evening.

I really enjoyed the show. I would have liked better seats and better AC. It was very exciting to see so many great stars perform and receive their awards. I would have loved to hear Rascal Flatts, and Kenny Chesney perform

Everything ran smoothly and the performances were top notch. I especially liked Will Hoge. Since he was the last act, unfortunately, many had left by the time he came on.....their loss.

    Awesome Event

    by Julia12 on 9/12/14Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Exceeded expectations. Jake Owen did an excellent job as MC. The performers were all great. The songs acknowledging the career achievements and poets awards were my personal favorites. It was great to see Ronnie Milsap, Carrie Underwood, and Kris Kristofferson appear to accept their rewards.

Dierks was the best host ever!

by CajunCongress on 9/16/13Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Dierks Bentley was the host for the night for his second consecutive year and might I say he was simply amazing! From singing his new song "I hold on" to singing a duet with Ricky Scaggs to singing a tribute to Keith Whitley, this guy definitely kept the crowds attention. The event was star studded with names that attended like Blake shelton, Miranda lambert, Darius Rucker, Lori Morgan, Wynona, deana carter, Jason Aldean, kacey musgraves and more! This night was surely a night that no one in the Ryman Auditorium will soon forget! Simply amazing!

Classic country Stars and New Country Stars

    by Chicks3 on 9/27/12Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

The AMC Honors at the Ryman will be unforgettable. It was an experience to cherish. There were classic country stars like Vince Gill,Emmylou Harris,Clint Black, Randy Houser, Ricky Skaggs and Dwight Yoakam. They helped make country what it is today. The new country artists honored those classic stars by singing there songs like, Kenny Chesney, Kellie Pickler, Dierks Betley, Luke Bryan, Ashley Monroe (pistol annies) and Hunter Hayes. The experience gives me chills. Kellie Pickler sang the classic, "Stand by Your Man." I grew up listening to Ricky,Clint,Vince and loved that era. I love this era. The two combined was outstanding. Thank You Ryman for a wonderful experience for my mom and I.

ACM Awards at Ryman were entertaining & insightful

by MRFIRE on 9/27/12Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Thoroughly entertaining and there was a plethora of heartfelt acceptance speeches that gave us insights as to the journeys each awardee took to reach this pinnacle. Dierks was the consummate host. The show was 3 hours but moved along very well. The church pews at Ryman were a test for our "tooshy"

    Very Entertaining Evening

by TerryLS on 9/26/12Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

My wife and I both enjoyed the show. We thought it was better this year than last with a good mix of background talk about the individuals and the music (songs). We enjoy some of the background on the individuals who are up for awards.
