We have attended this program for many years and love it. Bobby Bones did a great job but a host was needed for the performance awards. I prefer having a host for the whole show. The performances were wonderful. Caylee Hammack hit one out of the park. Looking forward to next year as usual.
I gave it 5 stars for the Ryman itself, the mother church is the best. Definitely not worth the money paid, 2016 show was much better. The honorees played their music unlike this event which they only received awards. I never saw a quieter show, people not standing and some even sleeping in their seats. A awards show more than anything. If format doesn’t change won’t be back!
This is my 10th year to attend. Every year is a surprise. For me it’s one of the events I never miss! It’s very personal and close up.
I wasn’t expecting a concert, but more music would have been welcomed. The hosts would have benefitted from a rehearsal! I don’t think they’d ever seen what they were supposed to be reading on the promoter! Really awful readers, but they looked good.
The show was for music industry insiders not the general fan. Some of the performers were good (Old Crow Medicine Show, Chris Stapleton ). The show was 90% awards and 10% music. The MC was terrible.
2016 it was awesome! But saying Alan Jackson was going to be there just to sell tickets was a big let down Everyone I was sitting around was so mad!
Couldn't wait for this to be over. Boring. A lot of money for a nothing show. If you go, it is truly an award show with a handful of musical artists to support it. Not worth the high ticket price. One and done.
Truly enjoyed watching the process of taping a program for television. The artists were amazing as were the "behind the scenes" individuals who were either nominated or won an award during the show. Really liked the fact that each winner was identified with a short video biography before receiving their award. Loved the artists renditions of music attributed to the winners. All in all a wonderful evening. Looking forward to attending next year's program.
OMG I went to this show to see my favorite band get honored but I was blown away with all the talent that performed. I had seen my favorite singer Cam was going to be there to honor my favorite group Little Big Town, so I had bought tickets to the show, since I've been a fan of LBT for 15 years. And I was in complete aww when Cam and Alicia Keys sang Girl Crush, they killed it! There's not many that can nail that song and hell they nailed it. But in all, all the performances where amazing and I would love to go back next year again.
There is nothing then going to a live show that is taped for a television audience on a later date. Got a chance to see all the stars of country not only presenting but performing. This made my Nashville visit unforgettable. Worth every last cent.
The Ryman is such a perfect venue! Wonderful line up of stars and the Tribute to Glen Campbell was beyond wonderful.
The show was great! The music was awesome! All the celebrities were so friendly and down-to-earth! Most memorable night!!!!
OMG. The Ryman is the best place to see your fav performers. Not a bad seat in the house. I could see everyone walking in to get to their seats. Nashville is soooo laid back. I loved every minute of this show. Very interesting to see what actually goes on when it's an "aired program for tv". And you can wear anything from dressed to the hilt, or come as you are jeans and all!!! It has pews just like in Catholic Church to sit in would be the only downside. Not separate seats. So you May be in contact with the person sitting next to you. Other than that no complaints.
Oh I gosh what a night to remember. I have attended several award shows but none as great as this. Whole program was unbelieveable. Way to go ACM!!!!
A must see production so worth the price. So many great entertainers and you get to see just what goes on behind the scenes to create a show. Would highly recommend, if they have another AMC Honor award show and your in Nashville you must see it.
This event in the past as been very nice and professional. This year it was taped for television. There were bright lights on constantly, people in and out of their seats, and just a disruptive atmosphere. In addition, due to ask the lighting, it was very hot in The Ryman. Bad move to televise.
Show was incredible it's a must see!! We sat downstairs with all the stars, it was amazing!!
THE SHOW WAS GREAT AND JAKE OWEN WAS A GREAT HOST, HE WAS PERFECT AND THE MAIN REASON THAT I BOUGHT MY TICKET TO THE EVENT.
This show was absolutely amazing. Watching the stars on the red carpet at the beginning was great. Our seats were awesome because all the stars walked right beside us to get to their seats. I would definately attend again.
