Ace Frehley Live in Concert
Born Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley in Bronx, New York, Ace Frehley started playing the guitar at 13. He never went to a music school, nor did he ever take a guitar lesson since every member of his family played instruments. He spent the early '70s in a series of local bands. In 1973, he co-founded the American rock band KISS. He departed the band in 1982 and went on to lead a successful solo career. His 1978 solo output -- KISS: Ace Frehley (released as part of the KISS solo albums) -- went platinum. In 1984, he assembled, amongst others, drummer Anton Fig and bassist John Regan to form a group with a name that alternated between Ace Frehley and Frehley's Comet. This group recorded a series of demos throughout 1984 and 1985, and performed their first-ever live show at S.I.R. Studios in New York City on November 30, 1984. In 1987 he released Frehley's Comet and it charted on the Billboard 200. He subsequently returned to KISS in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour. In 2004, he tied with Paul Stanley at No. 14 on Guitar World's list of the 100 Greatests Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time. Frehley's influences include artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Albert Lee, among others. In 2014, Frehley, along with the original members of KISS, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His 2020 solo album Origins, Vol. 2, charted on the Billboard 200.

He is a phenomenal player and his performance rocked. He did some old, familiar songs, plus some new stuff as well. It all is awesome. Great sound, talented musicians, and rich sound. He's just smooth...
This was the first time I've seen Ace. I have been a fan of him since 1974. The show was fantastic. Thanks Ace.
Ace and his band kicked ass. He is back to prime form. Being sober has definitely helped him get back into shape. His new stuff sounded great. His old stuff sounded better than ever ever and the Kiss stuff... well all I have to say was it was amazing. The drummer did a really good Paul Stanley! Awesome!
Ace on his own is Kiss on STEROIDS! My head is still BANGIN 12 hours later. Anyone interested in HARD ROCK, MUST SEE THIS GUITAR MANIMAL.
Ace sounded absolutely amazing! There were no lulls in the performance, no ho-hum songs, and nothing but pure ROCK! He is an absolute legend, and it is always great when you go to see a legend and they don't disappoint. I see a lot of shows, and this is the best show I've seen this year. Worth every penny. Space Ace baby!!!!
I am Ace Frehley's biggest fan , and this was the best show that I've ever seen him do ! His guitar work was awesome, and his new band delivered the goods . I liked it that he seemed to cover songs that spaned his career ; from Deuce to the new song Pain In The Neck, ( who we pretty much know who that was written for...) I was surprised by his KISS selection. Songs like Shout It Out Loud, Love Gun , Lover Her All I Can, Hard Times, 2000 Man, Cold Gin...just a great selection of tunes . It was great to see Ace ; he is truely an Icon of Rock - and he proved it last night ! The crowd was ecstatic - and I led the way !
Where to start? Opening with 'Rocket Ride' and ending with Ace's signature 'Cold Gin'! The show was well worth the wait. A total of 20 songs covering Ace's career including two from his latest 'Anamoly'. Would have liked to have seen more from 'Anamoly' including 'Outer Space' and 'Space Bear' - a great instrumental that would have fit right in this set list. Great to hear the band play some KISS material especially 'Parasite' 'Into The Void' , 'Hard Times' and 'Deuce'. No one left the show dissapointed!!! Hope that Ace and his band play the NY area again soon!
Warm up bands not so great, took Frehley about a half hour to get on stage after set-up. Once he started Frehley put on a great show and played better than ever! My only suggestion on the set list is take "Pain in the Neck" off. He pulled out some old KISS songs like "Strange Ways" and "Lover Her All I Can", great job!
Ace Frehley put on a great show of hits, old and new Sunday. My 9 yr old who is as big a fan as I am, LOVED the show, and ACE brought his A game. The band was in sync, and ALL were top notch players. A great show, and a great time. The only downer was that he didnt take the stage until 9:40 pm. It definetly was a ROcket RIde!!
played solo hits along with alot of KISS classics. sounded great!
Ace starts out with Rocket Ride and blows the roof off The House of Blues. Later on hit starts playing Stangeways and I couldn't believe it. It sounds AWESOME. He also played Hardtimes and Talk to me. It was jaw dropping. The only thing that I was disappointed with is I Really wanted to hear Outer Space and he remove it from his set list already. But otherwise it was a spectacular show. 2 thumbs up Ace.
Best in the world for the price. Loved Ace's music for years. SOOOOOO LOUD, was awesome. I will go again when he comes.....
Ace show was great. I've been a fan for years, saw him many times with Kiss, it was great to see him live as a solo act. If he returns to the area would definitely go see him again
the best concert i seen in years, and the loudest, ace is so down to earth guy , what a pleasure it was to see him without the other kiss members, i want to see him more!
ace frehley was great last night'' he played a variety of kiss songs and solo stuff'' he has a great band right now and overall they rocked'' i seen ace at the house of blues last year also'' i hope he comes back every year and keeps putting out new cds''
Ace was awesome and his band kicked. Forget about 1/2 KISS with the Ace & Peter imposters, the Spaceman and his boys don`t go through the motions, they rock their hearts out. Played some KISS, some Frehley`s Comet, and some solo stuff. Great show !!
Ace Frehley is sober, has a great new album, a great new band, and is back!!!!!!! Now everyone can see that all the real talent in Kiss has left that band; or the "business fomerly known as Kiss". Rocket Ride, Shock Me, New York Groove, 2000 Man, Parasite, Strange Ways, Into the Void, Rip it Out, do I really need to go on???????
Although I'd hoped for more songs Anomaly, It was still a great show. Ace has not lost a step, and has put together an excellent band. Set list included songs spanning Aces' career.
I t was a good show, didnt like the set up of the seating, they were real slanted tight little rows of seats, my seat was at the tp of balcony steps and hard to see. Not a great place to see concert, they need bigger screens to see stage was too little. Loved Ace just not house of blues.
