Loud really loud music to cover up the poor vocal performance!
What a fun night! Loved them, very engaging, as was Freddie. Great show.
The musicians in the band were great specially the lead guitar. "Freddie" was a dissapointment, contantly pestering the audience to stand, clap, cheer & making crude comments. Didn't do a good job of matching Feddies style or voice either.
Lead guitar was excellent. Singer made too many comments that were very bad jokes. A man walked by the stage and singer asked if he shook it. Sick bathroom joke. Just stick to the songs and you would be okay.
What a great show. So Energetic and fun. Lead singer was very talented and funny. The band was phenomenal. If you closed your eyes you could be at a real Queen concert. Loved it!!
The venue alliwed small children into the event and after 30 minutes of 2 children (probably 4 & 6)on the floor near the stage shrieking and screaming and jumping on my feet and banging into us, we left. The music choices were not the best and not worth deing with the brats. Very disappointed.
The queen tribute band was entertaining. The electric guitarist did really well. I had a good time
Very charismatic show with alot of homage to Freddie. The guitarist who portrayed Brian may was fantastic. Hope to see them again someday.
What a joke! They kept On referring back to the movie instead of actually being like the original queen. Left halfway through the show because seats were ridiculous.
Even as general admission tickets the services were well organized and the music was fantastic good people and great music
The band were really engaging and on point for all of their songs. Great crowd interaction and a good range of the classic well loved songs covered well.
The band was amazing, the song selection was on point, nobody left disappointed. They played nonstop. The harmonies were unbelievable. The music note for note. If you get a chance and are a fan of Queen you have to see these guys. (No I do not work for the band...lol)
Some bands are defined almost entirely by the sound and stage presence of their lead singer. Queen, fronted by the irreplaceable Freddie Mercury, is one of those bands. The musicians of Absolute Queen, and the lead guitarist in particular, did a fine job of playing Queen’s many hits. Unfortunately, the lead singer bore only a passing resemblance to Freddie in sound and appearance. The tickets were relatively inexpensive so I guess I got what I paid for, but out of all the tribute bands I have seen live, Absolute Queen is the only one where I left disappointed.
This was my second concert at Big Cork and loved the evening. The venue is amazing and the day was beautiful. As far as the band, music was really good but the lead singer could have been better. He sang fine but I wish he played the part better. We have seen other Queen cover bands and have had better experiences with those lead singers. Big cork is great but wish they would offer beer and or cocktails along with wine. But we will be going back for sure!!
Great experience as Big Cork is a really nice place to hold events such as this. Maybe add more food trucks since only one there and had long line but more importantly, add additional speakers on both sides mid-way back as speakers in front were not enough for outside event. Much appreciate all the friendly staff and clean facility. See ya at next event.
So fun! Great show. Performed all my Queen favorite songs- close to original sound.
The group was only able to do two songs before the theater had to be emptied due to a thunder storm. The two songs which they did did not even sound like Queen. After being required to leave the theater, there was no place to go to get out of the rain. They kept postponing to go back inside in 30 minute increments and threatened that the show would not re-start until the theater totally emptied out (with no where to go I might add). Ultimately after there was no indication of when or if the show would continue, we had to leave on our one hour trip home.
We had to evacuate the venue due to severe weather and we were unable to wait it out for the show to resume (which we did not know at that point even IF it would resume). So sorry to have missed it. Wish we could have gotten a "rain" check. On another note, the seating was so tight, with chairs being zip-tied together, it was way too close for comfort; esp during Covid precautions. Exiting the venue was made more difficult because chairs could not be pushed aside to cut through. If people were eating (and they were) it was ridiculously close to maneuver food and encroached on your personal space.
We went to the concert anticipating a wonderful night. It was raining but there was covering overhead. The concert started, they played one song, then stopped because of the rain. We sat an hour, only to be told repeatedly by people coming out on the stage that the concert would not go on and to leave. After a bit reluctantly we left. Since we went to a restaurant very close by, we left a couple hours only to hear the group playing. Apparently they choose to play at some time, but we are out our money for the tickets. No refunds, offered to those who left as instructed. Very disappointed Not sure I would order again Selected one star, had no other option to submit review
Well after waiting over 2 years we finally made it -they opened the show and the lead singer looked like a nerd dressed up in a Halloween contest and unfortunately his voice was not Freddy Mercury nor Adam Lambert. Plus the second song was not one of our favorites either -then skies opened up and lightening was striking so there you go. We never saw the concert and after hearing him we were glad to leave. But we would like our money back but of course you said no to that too. What a disappointment.
