Above & Beyond on Tour
Above & Beyond, or Jono, Tony and Paavo as they are better known to their legions of fans around the world, have been at the forefront of electronic dance music for two decades.
Founders of the iconic Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep record labels and hosts of a weekly radio show, that reaches millions of dance lovers every Friday (Group Therapy), the trio have earned two GRAMMY™️nominations for anthems 'Northern Soul' feat. Richard Bedford and We're All We Need feat. Zoë Johnston. In 2018, the band's fourth electronic album, Common Ground, debuted at number three on the Official Billboard Album Chart.
Described by UK music bible Q Magazine as "the world's biggest cult band", Above & Beyond's enviable list of sold out shows includes headline performances at historic venues like Madison Square Garden NYC, The Hollywood Bowl, The Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall London, Red Rocks Amphitheater and record-breaking turnouts for their own festival events on LA's Huntington Beach and at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State.
Songwriters first, producers second, Above & Beyond's unwavering commitment to their craft has fuelled a career that many electronic artists today might only dream of: four acclaimed studio albums, 14 compilation albums, two ‘acoustic' albums and a stand-alone album for yoga and meditation - not to mention innumerable club cuts and dance remixes.
In 2020, the band will release their third ‘Acoustic' album on Anjunabeats which will be supported by a tour of iconic music halls in the UK, USA, and Canada.
Great venue, great crowd of people, non-intrusive security and most of all... amazing show by Above & Beyond!!
This show was better than Paul Van Dyke and Armin Van Buuren, by far the best show I have ever seen. Above and Beyond kept the energy of the crowd going until the end of the show!
3 days later and i still cant believe how amazing it was ! i still got goosebumps from the show
This concert was amazing. Above and Beyond leaves you feeling wonderful about life. Go. See. Them.
The intro acts set up the scene well (Darrius, Johnny Monsoon, Jaytech). But when Above & Beyond took the stage the electricity obviously started building up. A&B did what all the greatest artists do and fed off that energy. Their LED board visuals were an amazing compliment to their music, and because of the intimate venue they were getting close to the crowd and interacting with the fans. "Uplifting Trance" is the perfect label for them as you leave the show exceptionally happy. Best show I've been to!
Above & Beyond are amazing! I've been to them twice before at Guvernment Nightclub in Toronto, Canada. The venue is still lagging in technology. No lasers and speakers are actually pretty crappy. Other than that, fun night! PS: they should sell glowsticks at the entrance
The best time I have ever had in the state of Washington. I thank you guys so much for coming out.
This was really one of the best live shows I've been to. During the entire night, there wasn't a dull track played. The lighting setup was incredible as well. This is definitely a concert I will never forget.
Such a good show. There's a reason they're one of the best DJs in the world!! Had a blast!! Gotta love trance!
This was my first Ajuna concert and first real trance show.... all I have to say is WOW. I usually goto raves but I fit right in at Best Buy Theater with all my Kandi on :) amazing venue, comfy seats in the back, great view from all floors. We called the venue ahead of time and they were very polite to let us know that Above and Beyond was going on 1am-4am. We got there at midnight and it was all just so amazing. Plenty of room to dance, friendly staff and bright bouncy crowd. You could feel the PLUR in the air. Very happy that I was there with my best friends for what in my opinion was one of the top 3 concerts of my life so far :)
Absolutely amazing. Tracklist was perfect, show was sick, the drinks were... well expensive but who the hell cares. Would relive this again and again (and prob will)
Had a good time, missing a better lights show, lasers, confetti, etc.
It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I couldn't stop dancing. They are the best. It was my first time seeing them live and I didn't regret it at all. It was sooooo worth it. Love them! In trance we trust.
The show was awesoem and I recomend it to anyone who is in to dance/trance These guys rocked the house.
This was my first time going to an trance event. I did not know what to expect, but was surprised. I arrived early, which you shouldn't do since it didn't really get started until about 11:30pm. I was expecting the night to be over at about 1am, but this was when Above & Beyond came out. I had to leave at about 1:30am b/c of plans for the next day. I wished could've stayed longer;
Great night overall. I can't complain about anything at all
Doors opened at 9, but like most people, I didn't show up until around 11, expecting to see an hour or 90 min of the opening act before A&B came on. I wound up watching Zack Roth for almost 3 hours. A&B came on around 1:45, from what I remember, give or take 15 minutes. This kind of killed it for me because my girlfriend and I had become frustrated standing in a tight crowd of people who were only half into what was going on. People got antsy around 12:30 and were clearly annoyed by 1:30. I've been to trance shows before (ATB, etc.), and I know this is probably not extremely uncommon, but come on. A&B brought a lot of energy when they finally did come on, but I didn't hear a recognizable tune of theirs for the next hour and a half. Sun & Moon? Nope. Can't Sleep? Afraid not. Good for me? Nah. The main reason I love A&B, and the reason we came to this show, is for the vocals and melody that they bring to a genre that can sometimes lacks in both. This is why we were very disappointed to listen to 90 minutes of music that made us feel like we were in a generic, $45-cover warehouse in the Meatpacking District. I'll give them another try in the future b/c I love the tracks they produce.
Absolutely amazing, whoever didn't go, missed out the only thing that could have been better was the lighting equipment (laser lights, digital displays, fog/smoke, etc.)
These guys are just incredible...if you have a chance to see them...DO IT!!! as for the venue it's definately one of my favorites...great sound and lights and everything...and there's seats in the back if you wanna chill and places to hang out and socialize all around the place while you're waiting for the show to start...only downside to this venue is the extremely narked out security so if you need to bring anything security might not like make sure you have a good hiding spot!!!
3 bars a snack bar bangin music nice crowd overall id give it 4 outa 5 stars....
