BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

New Orleans-born Aaron Neville began performing in the late ë50s and quickly became a local sensation thanks to his smooth, singular voice and emotional delivery. Regional success gave way to national attention in 1960 when his single ìOver Youî reached No. 21 on the R&B charts. He scored another major chart breakthrough in 1966 when his song ìTell It Like It Isî topped the charts, but the peak of his success came when he and his brothers formed The Neville Brothers in 1977. The group was an R&B powerhouse throughout the ë80s and ë90s, releasing a string of popular albums and earning a Grammy Award in 1989 for Best Pop Instrumental Performance for the song ìHealing Chantî. Aaron revived his solo career in the ë90s with the album Warm Your Heart, once again topping the charts with the soft rock No. 1 ìEverybody Plays the Foolî. Since then heís released a new album every few years while continuing to impress fans with his rich voice and time-honored showmanship whenever and wherever he performs.

    AARON NEVILLE was AWESOME!

    by Mervsmom on 12/7/09

After weeks of anticipation AARON NEVILLE and his quintet delivered a wonderful HOLIDAY EVENT! Aaron has one of the most melodious voices I have ever heard. Aaron sang his heart out!!! Charles was "killer" on his horn, as always, and all the band was exceptionally hot!! Always meet the nicest people/fans at Aaron's concerts. May God continue to bless AARON NEVILLE , his brothers and band for sharing their wonderful gifts. Thank You AARON NEVILLE for including Houston in your Holiday tour!

My husband is a big fan. We had never been to the House of Blues before. The setting was intimate. We stood about 6 feet from the stage. Everyone was standing, which I thought would be a drawback, but that's what made the intimacy possible. We were standing near the speakers and I thought we'd be blown away, but the volume was perfect. The performance was amazing. The band was super talented and Aaron Neville can sing unlike anyone else. He did several Christmas songs which got us into the spirit. It was an incredible experience and worth the long drive and wait in line for sure.

    Aaron Neville: A Spiritual Experience

by BlueEyedGirl016 on 12/7/09House of Blues New Orleans - New Orleans

Aaron Neville, as Linda Ronstadt once described, "has the voice of an angel." I couldn't agree more! It was almost a spiritual experience. When Aaron sings, you can see that it comes from deep in his soul. When he closes his eyes, you can feel the passion in his voice. . . . .Ave Maria was unforgettable! I've been following Aaron's musical career for more than 30 years. . . . .he's never been better! It was a fabulous concert. I was thrilled!

    Best performance at HoB ever!!

by morad284 on 12/7/09House of Blues New Orleans - New Orleans

By far the best show I have ever seen at HoB. Played all of his goodies plus quite a few other hits with some help from his friends "Slim" on trumpet and Jason Neville.

Aaron Neville is always gives a good concert. Very personable. He has an "angelic" voice and I love listening to him no matter what he sings. Could have been longer, though.

Aaron Neville, his Quintet feat. Charles Neville

by Shinen4JC on 12/5/09House of Blues Houston - Houston

WoW, true blessings each and every one of them, each performed with their gifted talents from their hearts and can tell they love it, were having fun sharing with all, smiling, dancing, singing. Love how they each get a chance to share individually thru out the evening. First time ever visiting The House of Blues Houston and Aaron Neville and his Quintet Featuring Charles Neville with his Sax made it more than could ever imagine. Made a few new friends there and they all also enjoyed very much. We all danced and sang right along with them. Would most definately love to hear them live again anytime. Letting all our world know how God has blessed this world with such amazing gifted talents so they too can bless all our world in sharing the love of music and their love to perform for all ;D For anyone who has not had the blessing of hearing them live in person, trust me y'all truly do not wanna miss out on y'all blessings, a great gift to share, invite a friend, family, all ;D

    Aaron Neville was amazing!

by aMusicLover on 12/5/09House of Blues Houston - Houston

Aaron Neville & the whole band were amazing! I enjoyed the combination of Christmas music with the pop songs. I especially apprecited the fact that he freely expressed his faith in God and his concern for humanity. My family and I will be there when he returns, God willing. Charles and the rest of the band were also wonderful! They are all very talented are true artists and the music selection was also very impressive and broad ranged. Keep up the great work guys! We love you!

Aaron and his band were fabulous!

by MrCupcake on 7/20/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Aaron still has the most beautiful voice! The whole band was great. We had so much fun watching the other band members reactions to Charles on that sax. We could tell they were all having a great time on that stage & it carried over into the audience.

    Fantastic evening!

by Poohman on 7/18/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

This was our first visit to the House of Blues, and we loved every part of it (except for the hard seats). The food and service were terrific, with particular thanks to our server,Deric. Aaron Neville was even better than the last time we saw him, and his brother Charles brought tears (and smiles) with his mastery of the saxaphone. The entire quartet kept things alive throughout the show. It was one of those performances that we hated to see end.
