Outstanding show; performers were amazing; the singer was superb. It really makes you get into the Christmas spirit.
Awesome show with many different acts, all great! Good variety of performances set to holiday music. The only annoying thing was the lights that were aimed up at the crowd and shined into our eyes a lot of the show.
Everything was good minus the stage lights shining in our eyes at times making it hard to watch the show. The host/comedian was funny!
We were not sure what to expect as we purposely did not seek info about the show ahead of time. To say this was amazing was an understatement. An illusionist, who was really good, as the host and 8 performers doing all sorts of things. All set to a vocalist doing Christmas music. This is a show that would be great to see a second time. Absolutely loved the show.
MC was fantastic. Show was wonderful. We all Had a great time
While we enjoyed the show for what it was, an old fashioned variety show, it was not what we thought it might be, a Cirque du Soleil show. In fact I thought it was corny. To drive 2.5 hours one way for an 1.5 hour show - I would definitely think twice about it again. For those local to DPAC and a way to introduce your children/grandchildren to the theatre, yes definitely. Not to spend 5 hours on the road for an 1.5 hour variety show.
We love seeing shows at DPAC. We travel from the coast. Well worth the trip. DPAC is a fantastic venue. We saw a Cirque show YEARS ago and were very excited when we saw the Christmas show on DPAC's schedule and bought tickets as soon as they went on sale. It was a great show all around. If you haven't been to DPAC, find a show you will like and go. Not a bad seat in the house. If you haven't seen Cirque, find a show near you and go.
Wasn’t sure how they were gonna pull this off in such a small space but they did a great job!!! Ticket prices were affordable and the show was great!
This show offered just the right amount of heart stopping moments mixed with laughter. I found it very entertaining from beginning to end.
The show was great, but at 90 minutes, I feel like it was too short for what tickets cost. Also, I do NOT recommend sitting in the first row. They have their own circular stage that sits on the actual stage so if you're in the front row (and I Imagine a few rows back as well) you can not see the performers from head to toe. Obviously this doesn't matter much for arial acts but all the acts aren't arial. There is a tap dancing part (among other a few other acts) that was probably amazing but we could not see the feet. Basically anytime a person was on stage and NOT in the air you were missing at least the lower 1/4 of them (and that's if they were on the front of the stage) and that is important in this type of show. A disclaimer stating this would be nice - especially since front row seats cost more.
What a great kickoff for the Christmas season! Comedy, magic, and Cirque performers all in one package. Plus the excellent woman singer! A fantastic evening!
I have seen Cirque 3 times..like the larger venue. Could not understand why people sat on stage felt stage could have looked more magical in Christmas type setting instead of solo singing Christmas carols..i thought it was boring and certainly not for children..no imagination. Some of the acts were very good but it was more like a talent show.
Having seen Cirque du Soleil "under the big top" previously, I was excited to see their Christmas show. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a BIG disappointment. While their acrobatics were good, doing an act on about a 10-foot wide stage, severely limited what they could do. Add to that, they made several mistakes, making bad landings and dropping props. The MC's card tricks got repetitive and most of his jokes were not funny. The positives: the singer had a beautiful voice, and they had "snow" falling as we exited the venue -- great effect. All in all, it was a fairly lame show; however, the couple with us had never seen Cirque, so they had no point of reference, and said that it helped put them in a Christmas mood. I will agree wit that.
So very small-scale, even for DPAC. The MC was good but with an edge. Some of the acts were mediocre and others good. Overall not worth the money
There was not enough acrobatics. The host talked too much and made fun of audience members. I didn’t go to see card tricks. The featured singer was silly. I didn’t go to hear a singer either. I went to see acrobatics! Overall not worth the money.
Excellent show! Even the teenage boys enjoyed the show! Great family time and amazing vocals as well as other performers.
This was the fourth Cirque show I’ve attended and although the others were excellent, this was by far my favorite! The master of ceremonies was so engaging and the vocalist was amazing. Those two additions to an already wonderful event resulted in a spectacular show. If you only see one Cirque event in your life, this should be the one!
The acts were all professional and talented. The ringmaster was at times boring, corny and not what I would expect from a show of this caliber. Overall we had a wonderful time.
I would reccomend this show for anyone. The MC was great, the performers were excellent. My entire family had a great time. We sat on the stage but would recommend sitting in the crowd as you can't hear the MC and hear the music too much.
This event was not worth my money. With the name Cirque associated with it, I expected much much more. The songs played were very slow and depressing. The acts were very amateurish. I was with my 2 children - ages 8 and 11. One started reading her kindle, the other started falling asleep. The host magic tricks were also very amateurish. I was very disappointed in this.
