John Waters is always so perversely entertaining and his clothes always kill
Best part of the evening BY FAR was the Q&A at the end. Some cute stories that were kind of funny during the show, but for the most part, not worth attending. I DO hope he makes more movies, though...
John Waters was hilarious. Non-stop fun. The STG staff went out of their way to make the experience worthwhile and comfortable.
John Waters was of course a delight! My only complaint was after spending a lot of money for VIP tickets for the Meet And Greet and photo with John, all was scrapped due to Covid. This show was rescheduled after being cancelled the year before and I completely understand him not wanting to touch or be close to hundreds of people in today’s climate. But having us stand up and take a selfie with him in the background sitting in a chair was a blurry, laughable mess. It would have been so much better if they could have set up a plexiglass barrier that we could have come up next to him and then pulled our masks down at the last minute or even left them on, with him wearing one with a moustache drawn on! Would have been a much better kitschy consolation!
Was ready to laugh, but the material just wasn’t that funny. The dialog after the show was interesting, but was disappointed overall.
It was an enjoying chat however the seating was horrible, the NON USE of his q&a session at the end of the day was horrible. No one could hear. And there were books/shirts available to buy- but no one could until the unheard of question session was over —- I would rather have seen him walking thru fella in 1974.
The jokes were dirty and inappropriate. John was cheerful and fun. And he wished us a Merry Fistmas. Totally lived up/down to title and expectations. Loved it!
The fact that I've gone for at least six years now is obvious proof that I enjoy his show. It's certainly not for everyone but if you enjoy his movies or books you'd probably enjoy his Christmas show too.
The deciding factor in our decision to fly east from California for the holidays was to see John Waters Christmas. So worth the 5 hours flight. Even in coach.
90 minutes with the American treasure that is John Waters is something all of us need. Some may not know it, but they will after the show.
This was my third time seeing John perform and he was HILARIOUS as always. We had great seats but be warned...don't order mixed drinks. Stick with wine or beer. My cousin ordered a martini that was water...had the waiter swap it and he got another martini glass filled with water.
John Waters is irreverent, hilarious, perverted and a blast to watch and listen to. His stories are the absolute funniest and entertaining. I highly recommend it!
As always, John Waters' rapid fire delivery of anecdotes, stories, dirty jokes and twisted life views was hilarious. He is not for the conventional or the faint of heart and that's what makes him special. Can't wait to see him next year!
Show itself was great but seating sucked. We ended up having to sit behind the sound booth. A computer monitor blocked half the stage. People were hanging out with the sound guy completely blocking our view at times.
beautiful, cozy, best Christmas show. no cameras aloud
Not a great show. Not even a good show. I am guessing he has a ton of passionate fans and followers but I am not one of them. I didn't think he was funny at all. Such a disappointing way to spend the evening. The best part of the show was when he answered questions from the audience. He appears to be a genuinely nice guy I just don't prefer his style of comedy.
John Waters is the jewel of our civilization. I would vote him into office.
Mr. Waters was hysterical and current. Loved his show and would like to see him again.
Uplifting and current and charming - and inspiring
He was as entertain as ever and expected. Good flow to his material and very engaging with the crowd.
