Everything about this show was amazing - singing, choreography, staging, and orchestra! We saw the Broadway series version a few years ago, and it has nothing on this production!
Literally every second of show was packed full of entertainment. The singing was exceptional but also just really enjoyed the creative songs that gave the show uniqueness while still very much staying true to the story we know and love. The young actors were impressive from the first scene to the ending but enough praise could not be given to the actors in the few adult roles. The narrator is a perfect fit, he easily convinces you he is the adult Ralphie but also captures the sentiment and tone of narration done throughout the movie.
Perfect start to the season! Such a great time with the family the show did not disappoint
A Christmas Story at the Lexington Opera House was an amazing performance!! The cast displayed such talent and the set design was beautiful!! The producers incorporated humor and creativity. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening!!
From start to conclusion what an incredible musical performance of The Christmas ory
We took three ten year old boys who were new to the theatre experience. They loved it. Quick set changes intrigued them and the orchestra pit was viewed as amazing. Adults were entertained as well. The star, Henry, definitely stole the show !
Show was really cute. Too long tho. Sound wasn't consistent first half. Balcony seats are painful to sit in. Too small. Too close.. really just for kids. Miserable seats. A tuslly painful to sit in. Many left early because of it.
The show was the perfect addition to our holiday season. We attended with a large group, ages 6-60+, and everyone loved it.
This is a mediocre musical. It was done well. But there is not much there to sink into and I thought about leaving at intermission. Slow Burn almost always does a nice job but you can't blood out of a stone and unfortunately this musical is earth bound. I wish Slow Burn would chose better musicals. They used to do Assassins and Blood Brothers and Rocky Horror. Now we are stuck with Christmas Story (yawn) Big River (yawn) Freaky Friday (yawn). Legally Blonde (yawn) All of these musicals do not have to be revived. Please chose better musicals.
