THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF A BROOKLYN KID WHO BECAME A CHART-BUSTING, SHOW-STOPPING, AWARD-WINNING AMERICAN ICON
Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like "America," "Forever in Blue Jeans," and "Sweet Caroline," an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond's story was made to shine on Broadway-and head out on the road across America.
Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America's greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.
Love the music. Nick Fradiani does a great job. Also enjoyed the band.
What a show!. "Neil"sounded exactly like the real McCoy. Kept me riveted the whole time. Could see it again.
The show was excellent. Storyline good. The lead sounds just like Neil Diamond. The venue was horrible unless (I suppose) you can afford the seats near the orchestra. I sat in the gallery (still over $100/seat). You can hear the music but could barely hear the dialogue as it was muffled. Why the venue does not have large monitors above the stage is beyond me. I was disappointed.
It was great n we throughly enjoyed. All the actors did a tremendous job but the guy that played the young Neil Diamond was fabulous. I highly recommend seeing it n would go again myself.
Very creative and interesting to blend his life and musical timelines together to add greater meaning behind the songs. Everything was done very well.
Fantastic! The entire cast was amazing. Specifically, the actor who played Neil Diamond was unbelievable.! That voice was uncanny!
Wonderful show! Great performance by the two primary actors. Vocal clarity was excellent. I could understand every word!
I saw A Beautiful Noise last year in New York. The show was fantastic, so when it came to the Orpheum, I got tickets early and looked forward to the show with high expectations. There was just no comparison to the NY production. We saw it here on the final day with a stand in for the main character, Neil Diamond. I don't know how the actual performer who did the show previously was, but the stand in was no where near what he should have been. I suppose if I hadn't seen such a professional and extravagant show in New York, this one would have been satisfactory. But being aware of what an incredible musical A Beautiful Noise should be, the Orpheum's production was disappointing.
The understudy took the place of Neil-then, but he was excellent!! The dancers were superb as was the story line, I've looked online to see if I could see it somewhere else, but none of the future spots are close enough. I would love to see it again !
I saw A Beautiful Noise on Broadway three years ago. The recent performance at The Orpheum in Memphis ranked just as highly as the Broadway show. I could watch it every day and never tire of it!
Absolutely loved this show. The talent was amazing and I especially enjoyed watching a former local actor I knew who was in shows I produced at The Harrell Theatre in Collierville. So fun and an interesting story told in a unique way. We waited at the Stage Door to say hi to our friend and all the cast members were so nice, chatting with fans, signing autographs and taking photos. Awesome theatre experience.
Awesome show. The cast was wonderful. Loved the way they covered so many of his songs. Would love to see it again.
We loved, A Beautiful Noise. We didn't realize it would be told from the perspective of Neil and his therapist. Enjoyed how his music wove throughout the show telling about his life. Highly recommend.
Wonderful! All of the cast were just brilliant. Especially Nick Fradiani!
Great actors, Great script about a great singer! I wasn't ready for the story to end!
This Musical was a fabulous review of Neil Diamond's life and his music. The preformance takes you through his life while he is having a physcological session with his therapist. It starts with his first recording and you go through a lot of ups and downs of his life in his musice. You could tell that the moments in Neil Diamond's life had a great influence on the music he wrote. The preformance was equal to anything on Broadway. The Star playing Neil Diamond, voice sounded exactly like Neil was singing. A beautiful preformance and I want to see it again.
When an event is so well done that you sing along, dance in your seat then you know it was worth the wait. Bought my tickets during the presale event because I did not want to miss this one. A Beautiful Noise is a brilliant production full of talent. Loved every minute!
If you are a Neil Diamond fan you will love this! It explains his process, life, and song lyrics. They cover all of the standards and dive into Neil's life. Must see!!
I would recommend a beautiful noise for any even slightly remote Neil Diamond fans. The production was very well done with great music and choreography. My first visit to the Orpheum theater in Memphis was a wonderful experience as well. Highly recommended.
I thought it was amazing. I wanted to see it again.
