About

After releasing a series of acclaimed mixtapes over the previous three years, rapper A$AP Rocky dropped his first official album in 2013, titled Long.Live.A$AP. His already-primed fanbase quickly took to the album, which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. Fans also snapped up tickets as he hit the tour trail hard to support the set, performing concerts at theaters and large clubs with members of his A$AP Mob collective, a group of rappers, producers and others who joined forces in 2007 due to their shared sense of music, art and style. Born Rakim Mayers (named after the Eric B. & Rakim rapper) in Harlem, A$AP Rocky's smooth, slow flow is more heavily influenced by Southern rappers like UGK and Devin the Dude than by New York acts. He began rapping at age eight, and in his late teens turned to the skill as a way out of the lifestyle that had led to the murder of his brother and landed his father in prison. Now that he's a star in his own right and the ringleader of one of hip-hop's most influential collectives, it appears he's found the way.

A$AP Rocky and crew tore it down. Dope show. Audio crew could've been more on point, but it's a Hiphop show. The engineers are usually asleep at the wheel.

danny brown kills it even when intoxicated, schoolboy q rocks heavy for a chubby guy, asap rocky was awesome as expected, the mob was crazier than anticipated, overall it was greatness!

  • A$AP ROCKY-Norva

by LoMonroe on 9/29/12The Norva - NorfolkRating: 2 out of 5

I feel like I was not prepared at all for this concert. I considered myself a big asap rocky fan and only knew about 5 songs. I wish he did more songs from Live, Love, A$AP.

  • Best concert ever

by nickfree on 9/29/12The Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The effects, sound and liveliness were great. Everyone from the opening dj to ASAP Rocky himself were great. Anybody who didnt see this show missed a great performance!

  • EH..

by TyHamp on 9/27/12The NorVa - NorfolkRating: 2 out of 5

Let's just say I was expecting more.. Danny Brown was wack and weird, ScHooLBoy Q was decent but expected better.. A$AP took so long to come on.. 1st few songs were DOPE but then he started screaming towards the middle and end..? I was like why are you screaming and not rapping? Sounded like complete garbage.. This is not coming from an A$AP hater either, I rock with his music all day every day! Just, the concert experience was not the best.

  • Worth the wait

by Kupscalenigga on 2/14/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The asap show was great, that has to be said upfront. I got there at like 8pm expecting to have missed some of the show.not at all. Came in and some igga named curtis williams was on stage rapping, going hard. He was pretty cool after he stopped telling some ish nobody cared about(story about his pants) Then they played old sass music for about 30mins until the opener came on an performed about an hour of music nobody was really feelin but he was straight to me. perion i think his name was. 30 more mins of old ish. Then after all the wait. ASAP ROCKY CAME ON AN KILLED IT!! Nuff Said. It was a dope show..could have started earlier, they could have performed longer but overall dope.

  • Great but opening acts took too long.

    by vcof2005 on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Great concert. Rocky was great (even though he was sick). I would definitely pay to see him and more members of A$AP perform. Please not more of those other guys.

  • Pretty Good

by KrissyFBaby on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

After 3.5 hours of waiting & watching unknown acts perform... Rocky gave a damn good show once he was on stage (& off, jumping into the crowd) <3

  • A$AP Rocky was amazing

by CeeNicole on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was everything I expected and more. I was intrigued by A$AP's stage presence and crowd interaction. I'd definitely witness him live again.

  • Gotta love A$AP Rocky

by DatPMFDGlass on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

So, he showed up late... But it was worth the wait. He opened with Pretty Flacko, a sing I hadn't heard prior to the concert, but it's dope. He had high energy the whole time. And he took time to acknowledge the passing of Whitney Houston. I can't wait to see him perform again.

  • Was just too live.

by Anonymous on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

A$AP did a magnificent job getting intimate with his crowd. From a managerial stand point, I wouldn't have asked for anything better. Bravo.

  • Best Show I have evr been to

    by Stylennebody45 on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

  • A$AP was the best concert of my life

by ThatManAnt on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Ive been to a lot of concerts and this was by far my favorite one. He brought the crowd to life, and was real down to earth. I even got on stage with him (though i wasnt supposed to lol) but yeah A$AP was def worth it, wish he did "Palace" though but ill be telling my kids about it when i grow up one day.

  • A$AP was decent

by internetkevin on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Sound was alright; opening acts sucked (I'M LOOKING AT YOU CURTIS WILLIAMS). Not really as much a show as just a bunch of kids on stage texting.

  • it was mostly worth it but only for ASAP rocky

    by jetlife0general on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

the concert had me excited but ASAP rocky's hype man showed no experience and getting the crowd hype. not only that I stood for nearly three and half hours for ASAP rocky to come out and he only performed for close to fourth five minutes. when I saw that ASAP was coming to Atlanta I bought my ticket for him, not his whack opening acts who held us up until nearly eleven o'clock and the concert started at seven o'clock. in my opionion I want a refund I could have watched ASAP rocky on his YouTube videos than watch him for thirty minutes of performance. but ONLY because ASAP came out & put a good show on he still gets my representation for ASAP mob

  • A$VP is AMAZING

by BriannaMic on 2/13/12Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Although he was three hours late, due to probably having to fly to a different city every night, it was an AMAZING concert and I lived his performance and how he interacts with his fans. I LOVE ASAP ROCKY.

  • a$AP mob was undescribable
