About

Rapper A$AP Ferg, often seen in concert wearing his signature grill, has come a long way since his late-‘80s youth in the Hamilton Heights area of Harlem. Born Darold Ferguson, Jr., the ticket-selling hip-hop performer acknowledged “success is the only option” for him in a March 2013 interview with Complex magazine. Before becoming part of the A$AP Mob hip-hip collective in 2007, Ferguson followed in the fashion footsteps of his screenprinting father. He developed his own clothing line, Devoni Clothing, designing and distributing high-end belts purchased by tour superstars like Chris Brown and Swizz Beatz.

But his love for music took over just a couple years later, with A$AP Mob—an acronym for “Always Strive and Prosper”—releasing their first full-length mixtape, “Lords Never Worry,” in 2012. A$AP Ferg signed his own record deal in early 2013 with Polo Grounds and RCA and unleashed his solo debut, “Trap Lord,” in August of that year. His gritty, explicit rap style is clearly expressed in tracks like “Work” and “Shabba,” from the album, which features guest appearances by A$AP Rocky, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Waka Flocka Flame, among others.

    Yasss

by Mare on 11/17/19House of Blues Chicago presented by Cricket Wireless - Chicago

House of Blues always has a quick entrance procedure, which is much appreciated in this cold. Bathroom is always clean and the venue is a great vibe filled with unique artwork. Aside from the bouncy wood floor that feels as if it’s going to cave in when everyone is jumping (y’all should really check that out), I really enjoyed A$AP Ferg’s performance. Would definitely see him in concert again and attend other concerts at House of Blues!

    Energy

A$ap Ferg was way better then expected, and he had energy and kept the crowd going, even when they didn't know the lyrics.

    Could be better

    by Z. N. on 11/10/19STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

The first couple acts lacked energy and excitement. Felt very cheesy and low quality. Once main act came on the show had a much better feel when it came to quality, excitement, and energy

Ferg energized the crowd and did a great job interacting with the crowd as well. There weren’t any issues. Security had it under control.

Less than an hour of A$AP

by Caro2019 on 7/30/18House of Blues Boston presented by Cricket Wireless - Boston

I had bought tickets for the original event back in April and didn’t find out about the changes date til a couple days before the concert was supposed to be. Waited for months for the concert and when it finally arrives, find out the night before that Denzel Curry isn’t in the show. There were three or four pretty no-name intro acts that were 45-50 minutes each. Ferg didn’t come on until 10:15 when the concert started at 7:45. He proceeded to do a 30 minute set then brought the intro artists back on. I guess I was just expecting more. That being said, it was the last stop on the tour so maybe he was just tired.

Great venue with great sound, but drink prices are a bit high, even for a concert venue.

Ferg was Meh and the venue is rediculous

by Thebirdman870 on 7/23/1820 Monroe Live - Grand Rapids

Super short set, not many new songs, and the security at the venue needs to lighten up. Let people enjoy themselves and you will sell more tickets. Keep harassing people and good luck...

by Madi123456789 on 7/19/18Egyptian Room at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

Had so much fun! The only downside was that Denzel curry didn’t show up as scheduled, and no one even mentioned it, so I was a little confused. But overall it was a good time.

    Never again

by Pink1236785 on 3/20/18House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Waited over 3 hours for Ferg to come out, had an annoying girl keep hitting me because she was dancing out of control the entire time, her sweaty boyfriend rubbing off his sweat on me. Opening artists sucked. Never again horrible experience compared to other concerts I’ve been to

A$ap ferg is no ordinary rapper, according to Spotify and I couldn’t agree more. He put on an amazing light show as well as a mind blowing performance. Would highly recommend seeing him in concert.
