    Down year but still fun

by Muscly on 9/14/10Montgomery County Fairgrounds - Dayton

This year's XFest was a good time and still fun, but the bands were a little disappointing compared to prior years. Papa Roach is great live, and Paper Tongues were awesome. But instead of at least one A+ band, they got 3 or 4 B grade bands. Was good but nothing that you HAD to see or anybody that popped! Plus the way the autograph booth is set up is atrocious!! Should have two booths so people can get in line for the one they want instead of 500 people in line for 6 different bands, and only 30 get through each band because of them allowing people to stand up there taking 20 pictures and talking. Radio station just doesn't know how to handle things very well, and by now they should

Excellent lineup of kick a$$ bands

by Jmon300 on 9/14/10Montgomery County Fairgrounds - Dayton

great event with a great lineup of bands & you can't beat it for the cost. the only thing I would like to see done differently is spacing the performances a little further apart to give room for making it from one to the next and maybe a different order of lineup (Papa Roach should have closed that show).

by soulcollecter79 on 9/14/10Montgomery County Fairgrounds - Dayton

x-fest was amazing. papa roach, seether, and shinedown are 3 of my favorite bands, and to have all 3 at the same venue was just awesome. anyone that has not been to x-fest i strongly recommened it next year.. good times.

SHINEDOWN - the greatest band EVER?!!!!!

by Shelbel8888 on 9/14/10Montgomery County Fairgrounds - Dayton

This event was simply...a blast! Shinedown took extra time to sign autographs and meet fans even beyond their scheduled/allotted time. Getting to meet them made my day, no week, no year....mmmm ok, it made my world!!!! What a great band! What great music! - event better live than recorded. I am a fan for life! P.S. Long live "The Rise"!!!!

    X-Fest Dayton

by JacobyLover on 9/14/10Montgomery County Fairgrounds - Dayton

One word:Amazing. The news even said that there were several noise complaints from neighbors around the fairgrounds--hahah heck yea! Thats the way a rock show should be. I had never seen Seether live, but have heard that they were awesome live, and they lived up to that. Shinedown had the same set list as when I saw them last month on the Carnival or Madness, but they still seemed to impress me yet again. Papa Roach hands down still has the title of best live rock band. Have seen them 7 times and this was probably the most rowdy I have seen a crowd. They always have an amazing stage presence and get the crowd into it.

    X-fest 2010

by Dustin1068 on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

So..where do I being with X-fest 2010? I discovered a new band i may start listening to known as Red Line Chemistry. They are really good if you like Alice in chains, and live they arent too bad either for being a new band. Was never a Haste the day fan so I just stood there for them Dirty heads were boring, I will tell you now as was Sublime. I dozed off during both of their sets. Papa Roach put on an amazing show as always as did Seether. And I did not stay for Buck Cherry.

    Everyone was great except Buckcherry

by smithsweep on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

in short, all the bands wer great except Buckcherry, they should not be headliner , 1/3 of the crowd left by the 3rd or 4th song. I like Buckcherry but when they headline they just dont have enough to keep the crowd interested.

    Seether rocked the show!

by cmaschino on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

I was not impressed with Sublime and Dirty Heads. I don't feel like they belonged at xfest. Seether and Buckcherry had great performances. Haste the Day and Red Line Chemistry were alright. Would love to see Staind or Three Days Grace in next years line up!

    Great Show

by MrJor on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

Second stage was awesome with Hell Yeah, they belonged on the main stage. Avenge Seven fold should have headlined. After watching them, Disturbed was a let down. Stone Sour rocked. Over all great show.

    Buckcherry Rocked!!

by BombSquadGirl on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

As well as Seether, Subline, and Papa Roach! Other than the rude fans around us, the bands rocked!!!

    Papa Roach should have headlined!!!

by WeRDisturbed1s on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

X should let the fans set the stage line-up. Sublime...really? Who cares? Dirty Heads? Drowning Pool has better material and should have played later in the line-up. Papa Roach and Seether are both headliner worthy. Papa Roach puts on a hell of a show and Seether has more talent than all the other bands put together. Shaun Morgan got ripped off and couldn't even play a full set due to time constraints. I was happy that X didn't make me have to sit through Buckcherry in order see Seether. The traffic cops outside weren't prepared for the mass exodus of fans who don't care about Buckcherry....of which I was one!!!

    Papa Roach took the show!

by John5rockinmom on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

The show was amazing! Papa Roach should have been the headliner!! Seether and Sublime also did an awesome show. Buckcherry... on the other hand ... Disappointing. I don't know if it was the sound or what. 1/3 of the crowd left during the first 4 songs. Verizon did a great job as usual. LOVE THE VENUE!! We go to X-Fest along with all the other big concerts every year. Always the best!

X-fest isn't what it used to be :(

by GetBentBySpanky on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

Ok... It used to be all day, three stages, tons of people, showers, beads, rock climbing wall, just the event you waited for ALL YEAR LONG!!!! This year, snoooooze! Later start, only one stage, higher beer/soft drink prices, less people. No beads allowed. Really now... Unless things are promised to be much better like when Linkin Park played, nah... Probably won't bother coming back. X-fest is dead! BTW: Papa Roach was a LOT better than Buck Cherry The one thing that was a MAJOR blunder, not paying enough tribute to the day. Come on, it affected us all in some way.

    Papa Roach Rocked IT!

by TimsBabydoll on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

I think Papa Roach should have headlined!!!! This was the second time I had seen Papa, and they rocked both times! Buck Cherry was a bit of a dis appointment. We left before they were finished. Dirty Heads SUCKED! Sublime with Rome was ok.

Papa Roach Rocked the House -- As Usual

by ConcertPadre on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

First of all, Papa Roach continues to be an excellent show band -- why they are not afforded more respect and given greater stature is beyond me. My son and I have seen them eight times over the past 4-5 years and they never disappoint -- always high intensity and excellent! Second of all, Buckcheery is NOT strong enough to headline a major concert. This Wednesday we will see Buckcherry open for Three Days Grace and Nickleback in Fort Wayne. The fact that Buckcherry was the headliner shows that Xfest in Indy is becoming more of a non-event; I believe this is the second time they have headlined the Indy Xfest (wish we had Shinedown who headlined Dayton Xfest). Also the lineup order was questionable: the order of Drowning Pool, The Dirty Heads, Papa Roach, Sublime, Seether resulted in a strange mixture of music. It would have been better to have Sublime follow The Dirty Heads elevating Papa Roach to play before Seether. Alternatively replacing The Dirty Heads with another rock band would have been even better. Seether -- the co-headliner -- played less than 40 minutes! This is way too short for a band the stature of Seether; typically the co-headliners both play 1-hour. Sublime played a very good set -- their sound was tight and clean; Rome's vocals and playing were excellent. The Dirty Heads were good if you were on a beach of a cruise ship; but not a rock concert. Red Line Chemistry was quite enjoyable and I had never heard of them before. Haste The Day was OK -- my son liked them quite a bit; however the fact they were from Carmel High School near Indy had to be a big plus for them.

X-Fest was a great all day party!

by ConcertChica10 on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

I loved spending the whole afternoon and evening enjoying the great music, my friends, and beautiful outdoor weather Sat. I especially enjoyed Dirty Heads and Sublime! Only bad things, needed a few more bathrooms inside, the only beer they served was Coors and Miller when Bud Light is a big brand too, not to mention how outrageous the food and drinks are priced!

    Seether should Headline

by rodstr74 on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

Papa Roach and Seether were the best! Disappointed Seether didn't have a longer set list. The Drowning Pool was pretty good too! Was glad to see the Drowning Pool paying tribute to our service men on this special day, I think some of the other bands could have said or done something in rememberance. I also thought the venue could of had some Video Monitors up beside the stage. Sound was awesome!

    Verizon killed the show

by Weakness on 9/13/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

Papa Roach was really good. Sublime was out of place in the order. Didnt have much to offer. Seether was good. Buckcherry was good, could have been better if crowd wasnt leaving. Of course the crowd was leaving because the beer was cutoff at 8:30. Just a couple of songs into Sublime, with two bands to go all alcohol was cut off, unless you had VIP passes. It was a shame when the Buckcherry guitar player was telling the crowd to raise their drinks with him and no one had anything to raise. I have been to 50 plus concerts out at Verizon and this was by far the earliest for the cut off. Very weak.
