Wayne Newton is a singer and entertainer from Norfolk, Virginia. Over the course of his decades-long career, Newton has become synonymous with the glitz and glamor of the Strip, earning the nickname “Mr. Las Vegas.” Getting his start in the 1950s, the then-teen singer was mentored by superstars like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Bobby Darin. Some of his best-known songs include “Danke Schoen,” “Red Roses for a Blue Lady” and “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast.” By 1963, he had become a headliner at the Flamingo in Las Vegas and worked his way to being named the highest-grossing act in Sin City history. Through the 1990s, Newton headlined shows at Caesars Palace, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Bally’s before signing a 10-year contract in 1999 as the first-ever headliner-in-residence at the Stardust Resort and Casino — though the deal was cut short in 2005 as a result of the venue’s demolition. In 2016, Newton performed his lounge show Up Close & Personal at Bally’s, followed by his 2019 stint at Caesars Palace to celebrate his 60th year on stage. In 2024, Newton will embark on his Up Close and Personal Tour.

Wayne Newton was very entertaining. I wish the seats were more comfortable and had some elevation and some booths.
Poor acoustics. Could not hear the singer only the band.
Very entertaining. Learned about his early days to present day and he can still sing at 82.
Outstanding. A memory maker. I went with my mother and two aunts. We enjoyed the show.
I saw Wayne Newton 17 years ago in Vegas. My tickets included a meet and greet. He gave you a great show than and did not disappoint at this show. I enjoyed this show for the history he shared with the audience. I learned allot about the man and the performer. He is a great performer and a humble man. My only complaint is that I wish they would do something about the seating at the Seminole Casino in Naples, first of all they are tight cramp, totally un-comfortable. The seats are on one level and if you happen to seat behind a tall person, you might as well just watch the monitor. If you happen to seat next to a large person expect to enjoy half a seat. You would think with all the money the Casino brings in they would take an initiative and turn the room into an actual theatre.
In my opinion, Wayne Newton is the best entertainer alive today! He is full of energy, charm, perfect comedic timing, and immense vocal talent. He really pours his heart and soul into every second of his show. His UP CLOSE & PERSONAL show is fantastic. Not only does he sing, but he also tells anecdotes and shows videos about his life and relationships with Jackie Gleason, Elvis, Bobby Darin, Glen Campbell, and others. His love of performing and of his audience is clearly evident in his warmth and appreciation of his fans. I can't wait to see him again!
Enjoyed the great show. One of the last great entertainers. So glad I saw Wayne and his beautiful wife. Great time !
Have seen Wayne many times over the years. Always puts on a good show. Just enough change to the program to make it interesting. Had great seats, although a bit pricey. Sound system overpowered us at times.
Great show, the seats were comfortable. I do think they could have spared one chair per aisle and left more room between the rows and individual seats. There’s no way for those older patrons to shimmy down the rows to the seats in the middle without everyone getting up and letting them in. God forbid they needed to do a fire drill with that many older people in a room like that! This was my first time seeing Wayne Newton, what a treat! He’s infectiously happy and extremely talented, like an elderly Harry Connick, JR. this show was a great memoir of his career and his stories were great!
This show was more of a visit than a concert. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the show. TicketMaster has a monopoly and needs to go.
