Wallows on Tour
Catchy, whip-smart and unabashedly cool, Wallows make rock music on their own terms ā but everyone is invited to the party. The trio caught global attention when their single "Pictures of Girls" hit the Billboard Top 40 in 2018, bolstered by singer/guitarist/actor Dylan Minnette's starring role in the Netflix breakout drama 13 Reasons Why. On the heels of their 2019 full-length release, Nothing Happens on Atlantic Records, Wallows embarked on a UK tour after kicking things off at The Fonda in their hometown of Los Angeles. Although the band have been playing live shows in various incarnations for years, including a 2011 Warped Tour slot when the guys were literally just kids, Wallows is their calling card to the world. As witnessed at Coachella 2019, Wallows bring their spiky, synth-laden odes to millennial ennui and conflicted romance to life with fuzzy guitars, boundless energy and the strength to find joy in turbulent times.Ā
Wallows in Concert
Wallows were born out of a music class where three 11-year-old friends ā Minnette, singer/guitarist and actor Braeden Lemasters and drummer Cole Preston ā discovered a shared love for upbeat indie pop fused with topical laments and biting humor. Nothing Happens is a melting pot of not-too-distant influences, including vocal hints of The Strokes and Vampire Weekend. They also evoke the dreamy bedroom synth of Clairo, who showed up as guests on "Are You Bored Yet" (the single that garnered the band another Billboard Top 40 hit). As the trio grew together (literally and figuratively) the acting duo of Minnette and Lemasters balanced their two creative outlets, never viewing Wallows as a mere side project. Both grew up child actors, with Lemasters best remembered for his role on Men of a Certain Age and Betrayal, while Minnette appeared in Grey's Anatomy before landing in 13 Reasons Why.
For their debut LP, Nothing Happens, Wallows brought in production ace John Congleton, who has also helped shape sonically adventurous work from St. Vincent and Sharon Van Etten. For a debut, the album feels lived-in and mature, with a punk pulse beating under the shimmering, melodic surface.
Over the source of their career, Wallows has played venues such as the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, the Vic Theatre in Chicago, and Terminal 5 in NYC.

It was amazing i awlays wanted to see them live. I did in ABQ i got to meet them after the concert they were really nice and sweet. I love thema so muchšš„°
my first concert and it was the best experience they set the bar HIGHHH and im so excited for future concerts they played all the best songs and they left and people were yelling encore and they came back and played two songs and they were amazing and they stopped the show whenever to give water to fans and make sure they were okay when someone would pass out and after and before the merch lines werent bad and in the pit no one was pushing and shoving and it was just overall an amazing experience and i wish i could go back
the entire expierence was great. it was my first time in a pit and omg it was the best, no one pushed or shoved and everyone was so nicešš they performed amazingly and it was such a fun nightš
saw them in orlando in may for the 2nd time. performance was incredible and we got such good spots even though we showed up like 15 mins before doors opened. dylan was great about stopping the show to make sure people were okay and to hand out water. go see wallows the second you get a chance!
One of the best concerts Iāve been to. Although, my friend and I were waiting outside all day, and just went the staff was handing out VIP wristbands, these 3 girls got dropped off and cut in front of my friend and I and a lot of other VIP people in line that were waiting all day at the venue. So maybe there could be a way to stop that? Maybe separate the VIP and general admission sooner so people canāt cut. Otherwise, I love Wallows, and this was one of the best experiences Iāve ever had.
While I knew seeing Wallows live would be amazing, I just didn't expect it to be as AMAZING as it was. From the setlist to the crowd interaction to the vocals, it was a phenomenal show and it makes me wish that I bought VIP tickets. The only downside is the post-concert depression is 10x worse because of how great the show was! Fantastic concert and I definitely feel like I came out of that venue a changed person LOL!
Wallows hands down provides the best show Iāve ever been to. Been a solid fan since 2017, so them playing let the sun in and pleaser was so fantastic. Wallows are better live, great energy, great stories, just a pleasant bunch of dudes. The crowd was fantastic as well, and everyone made sure those who were dehydrated got water and were safe. I would see wallows a million times over if I could. Until next time!
Wallows put on a great show and sound as good as the album! I would definitely see them again. The security at History were very kind and any interaction I had with a security guard was very pleasant. Wish I could say the same for the bartenders, but it didn't ruin my night. Worst part was how hot the venue got. It was waaaay too warm, and they ended up giving out water to the crowd.
This concert was so beyond good. Zero complaints. That's all I have to say... oh and I will be attending more Wallows concerts in the future.
Great VIP experience, maybe the VIP can stay separate to others.
Loved every minute it was an amazing concert. They are so good live and really include the crowd
I got VIP tix for this show and it was UNBELIEVABLE. WORDS CANNOT explain how amazing this night was!!!! Also the venue people were incredibly nice, they handed out water to everyone waiting in line! Okay
my experience at history was good checking in was easy and how water is free was great but the only bad thing is it being cashless but other than that it was good.
Theyāre such good performers, they sound amazing live! Everything went great at the venue. They made sure of everyoneās safety and even had water passed out to wherever wanted in the GA!
I plan to go to every single Wallows concert in my area that I can go to now. I loved this group for years and I am so thankful for being able to go. I will never forget how beautiful these men were in person, how talented they were and how amazing the energy was. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Toronto, 2022, HISTORY venue
I LOVE THE MET! the service is always great and the food and drinks are pretty good, one thing about this show was that the merch line was insanely long. iāve been to the met before but didnāt have this big of a line, but since i was with friends it wasnāt a huge deal to me. the seats are also pretty steep and close together but i didnāt mind :)
I would go see them again they were really good! The met was a beautiful theater as well, with great staff.
wallows was really really great and i had a good time. iād say the only issue i had was that the people who worked vip and the merch table were jerks. but other than that it was great.
I went to this concert as my first concert and went in and had some of the best times iāve ever had. The crowd was great the band was absolutely amazing I even cried during this concert at some parts of it. They were so inclusive and interactive with the crowd it was amazing. My friends and I happened to stay after outside to wait to see if we could maybe catch a glimpse of them and they actually came up to us. We were standing with a group of roughly almost 30 people and they came over quickly and said hi before they had to leave. Iām sad my poster didnāt get signed but completely get they were on a time crunch. I was at the Philly show and I recommend this concert to anyone interested. I will be going to the next one:)
