    Captivating!

by Nlopez on 1/17/24Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

Being familiar with Calexico and intrigued by pairing up with TSO, it's was a must see. It was one of the greatest show I've experienced, it's captivating, dramatic, joyful. A great musical experience.

Calexico + TSO at their best!

by Jim Tucson on 1/16/24Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

Great combination of the Calexico with an amazing set list back by the first rate TSO created a very special experience. The venue is now in excellent condition. We look forward to the next show.

    Absolutely rapt performance.

by RJ on 12/19/23Catalina Foothills High School - Tucson

First TSO event in ten plus years and it was spellbinding. Have sung the Messiah in church choir and I know how demanding it is. Masterfully played and sung by this group of deep artists including the soloists. But the prize goes to conductor Wincor who kept everyone together for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Amazing. I'll be back.

Great music mixed with exciting circus acts! A lot of fun!

by Squeebee on 12/13/23Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

Loved the holiday music and the fun circus acts. I see the symphony perform regularly and it was fun to see the circus acts along with the amazing music! I was expecting the orchestra to be in the pit and was surprised to see them on the stage with the circus performers!

    Decent show-

by G-Man on 11/13/23Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

The Q and A and conductor introduction and explanations of the two compositions were interesting. Pretty flamboyant conductor and pianist. Little distracting. Nice enough evening though. Looking forward to some older pieces. Wish the blues piece was played Friday evening too. I thought it would be and I was very disappointed that it only occurred on Sunday.

    Raiders of the Lost Arc

by Cheryld on 10/19/23Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

Very engaging fun orchestra concert. I did not realize all the music in the movie until the orchestra was playing 80% of the time. Great time

    Just so fun

by Flying Plasma on 10/17/23Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

I love attending symphonies. I love movies with great musical scores. To have the music presented live is awesome. It was a different kind of connection with the musicians. To experience the reality of an orchestra creating the music that is so familiar while you are watching the movie gives you so much to appreciate. To see how many talented people it takes to create those moments is amazing. I would definitely see other movies with the TSO!

Security issues followed by technical difficulties

by Jon L on 10/17/23Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

It started when we couldn’t find any parking due to multiple events in the area. The street was closed off on several cross streets as well as in front of the event. We finally found parking on the backside of the convention center which was quite a walk from the performance. Upon arrival, the security staff wouldn’t let in our friend’s “clutch” purse nor my daughters purse that were barely, and I mean BARELY too big from their “policy”. I’m talking less than half an inch. This meant I had to walk back to my vehicle with two small clutches and walk back. Meanwhile, the others went into the performance area. When I returned, I was told I couldn’t enter the performance area because the show had already started. It would be 10-15 minutes before they would open the doors for me. Finally, the door guy said, oops, I forgot this was a movie…you can go in. Seriously? Then, when I was finally let in, my group wasn’t in the seats we purchased (row 30 dead center) and they were sitting in the back! They were told to not interrupt anyone. The show was then plagued with technical sound difficulties matching up the sound with the movie. Another 25-30 min delay. For the price we paid, needless to say our expectations were not met. Sound checks and all that should have been worked out well before the show. We have seen other performances by the Tucson Symphony, but this experience was the worst.

The movie had problems with its sync with the couced

by Sue on 10/17/23Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

Enjoyed the symphony and the conductor but the problems with video made the movie hard to watch

    Fun experiance except...

by Jim on 10/17/23Linda Ronstadt Music Hall - Tucson

The orchestra was fantastic as was the conductor. The film was fun, except the technical difficulties that stopped the show mid stream for at least 20 minutes. This combined with the intermission made for a long evening. It was also very disappointing for the flow of the show to be suddenly interrupted. This is inexcusable!
