The tour guide was excellent and explained very well and knowledgeable but they could have left more time for pictures next to the arena floor. They had many groups at same time so was rushed towards the end. Don’t think we were involved or got as much out of it as should have.
The visit was quite short and it would have been great to see more of the hidden parts of Madison Square Garden (lockers etc). It was a bit of a miss for us. The staff was however lovely.
Really neat look behind the scenes of MSG. Waited a lifetime for this experience only to have it exceed expectations. My wife provided this as part of a birthday gift that I will never forget. Thanks PT and MSG!!
Beautiful Great Place With High Ceilings and Bright Lights.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience touring Madison Square Garden. For only an hour we managed to see many areas in and around the arena. The only improvement I would have made would be visiting the lockerooms, however I understand there was a game that day which prevented that access.
We saw only one thing you wouldn’t see as a ticket holder to any event: a suite. We regularly visit and tour stadiums and arenas. This was the only tour we didn’t love. Skip this and go to Yankee Stadium.
Very true, enjoyed the tour and managed to get tickets to watch the Knicks beat the Bulls….fantastic all round experience!!
Not that exciting, nothing but a walk through the empty stadium, stairs and elevators. The locker rooms were occupied so we didn’t see that section, not the press box or floor level. We just had a walk anround the upper seat level and concourse food area. Nothing to write home about. Save your money and spend it on an event there. You’ll enjoy it more!
Great experience to get behind the scenes of such a famous venue.
Seeing inside Maddison Square garden was a great experience, however the tour itself was unorganised, with different tour groups crossing paths, and having to wait for one tour to move before we could progress. The tour group sizes were far to big, meaning it was hard to hear which detracted from the experience, and there was very little information given on the history of the garden. If you want to see the arena then it's worth it going, but if you are looking for more than that it's a disappointment.
It was cool to see MSG. However, neither the Knicks nor the Rangers locker rooms were available nor was the floor part of the tour. Not bad but the fact that we didn’t see much was quite disappointing, especially to our son. The fact that they disclaim and say the locker rooms may not be availble may be a legal answer but doesn’t ‘fix’ disappointed people!
The tour spent way to much time in public areas, explaining photos hanging in the public areas and highlighting the day by day timeline. I wish the tour had spent more time in the “backstage” areas. It was nice seeing the Rangers and Knicks locker rooms, but I felt more time in the background areas was needed.
It was really good to tour background of MSG and learn the history and all the events that take place. Our tour guide Yogi was great, knowledgeable and friendly. Due to Knicks game on the day of the visit could not see the locker rooms nor step on the court due dance practice going on. Overall experience was great. Recommend if you visiting NYC.
It would have been awesome to see the lockers because I was really expecting to see them.
Yogi was a great tour guide. We saw a lot of behind the scenes areas. We learned a lot about the history. We have a six year old, and he was highly engaged through the tour.
Our host was amazing. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. The venue is amazing and worth the visit. We had the privilege of seeing the set up of the Billy Joel concert which was a real treat. The signage to enter the stadium and join the tour was shocking. The tour group was also way to too big thus making it hard to keep up and or hear the information. Overall the tour was great
We were told on the day that due to an event being staged that evening, there would be not back stage tour of dressing rooms etc. As such, the majority of the tour was seeing the arena and exhibits that are all open to anyone visiting MSG for an event. As such, quite a disappointing tour.
My first time at the Madison Square Garden and it was wonderful ! Great to have so many information and anecdotes !
The tour was awesome and fun. I also enjoyed seeing the Knicks and Rangers locker rooms. But the highlight of the tour was Marilyn Monroe singing to JFK.
