TTB is hands down the best band going right now. Their precision playing along with great vocals makes each concert a special occasion. Add in the best guitarist in the world and you have one of the best groups ever to play live.
That about sums it up - plus, do they not have sound engineers? Distortion from the volume being cranked too high. Maybe people follow this band for the Trucks, but I couldn't listen to one more song turn into an endless guitar solo. Disappointing for a $100 seat.
Susan’s voice is even better live. The band really put it over the top though. Derek probably had 5-10 legit solo’s, plus a dual drum solo (duo?), a couple saxophone solo’s, flute solo and just overall great music and jams. Initially disappointed there was no opening band… that doesn’t matter when the main show performs for a total of about 2.5 plus hours.
This band can dig so deep and go in so many directions. Oh yes, and then there is "the voice."Susan.
I’ve always liked the music of the TTB but only heard their recorded stuff. Catching them live is an experience I will never forget. Every song was spectacularly performed. I get goosebumps just remembering that concert.
As long as I am able to walk and get a ticket to a TTB show I will never miss their performance. This was my 2nd time seeing them.
Incredible show, I will see them everything they are in town.
Susans vocals are always great but I particularly enjoyed the addition of songs done by the back up singers. The male back up singers were amazing. I really wish they would have given the female back up a little more time though, she only came in on the last encore song for a couple seconds but had an amazing voice.
My husband and I were in the 4th row.... awesome seats EXCEPT two blockheads in the orchestra seats, best seats in the house!, decided they also needed to stand the entire time so that a BUNCH of us had a hard time seeing the center of the stage and all our pictures and videos included the backs of their heads! Several people asked them to please sit but they ignored all requests. So annoying! ... Three things about the concert itself. 1. Some of the guitar solos were just too long and started to all sound the same. 2. The drum solo was too long and actually, kind of boring. Nothing real special. 3. The sax solo.. I don't even know what that was about. Did not fit at all with the rest of the concert and sounded like he was just playing random notes. Could have totally done without that. Overall, they are amazing, of course. Music was wonderful, vocals top notch! Thanks!
First time we've seen Tedeschi Trucks Band live. Thoroughly enjoyed the variety in the set list. The musicianship is fantastic. Highly recommend seeing the Band live.
Sax solos were too often, too long It's a work night for most people, and they have a 30 minute intermission not even an hour in? The Stones are 80, played 2-1/2 hours and NO intermission. They sounded fantastic as usual though
The band played for a total of 2 hours & 20 minutes. Wow, what a great show. They were able to showcase each individual member of the band ... a testament to the incredible musicianship of all the band members. Susan's voice and Derek's guitar mastery are truly amazing.... This is a concert I would attend again ... over and over. Finally, the Paramount theater venue was amazing. The acoustics are outstanding. And the sound system/mixing was perfect. Thank you Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Music overpowered vocals. Something was very off. Guitarist was great (the only talented musician on the stage). Otherwise, seemed like a gathering of too many friends for a jam session.
This was an amazing experience! Hard to believe, but TTB gets better each time I see them.
An absolutely awesome concert Every member of the group is an all star in their own right A fabulous evening's entertainment
first of all the shows are fantastic. In the first four shows they've played 82 songs and only repeated 14... Which for many is a good thing that they got to see that those repeated songs. The band started The deuces wild tour back in February, Australia played at the Kennedy Center as well as the soul sand and see festival in Florida and also sat in with Chris Stapleton and Jacksonville ahead of their gig later next month as an official opener. The summer part of the deuces wild tour opened up in Portland Oregon for two shows and then up to Vancouver British Columbia first show and now back in Seattle for two shows before they head down the left coast. While in the Pacific Northwest they solidify the relationship with nugs.net Who Now has an archive of older shows and will be streaming shows next week down at the Greek. The show themselves, The musician of Derek and Susan as band leaders As the musician of all other 10 people on stage and the dozens do not only do jobs but also do set up and breakdown. I think it's five buses and two tractor trailers. So when you pay your ducats For a ticket not only are you getting a great show but you're supporting these people who bring so much happiness is so many. It's one of the most symbiotic relationships between abandon and their fans and I've ever seen. Sure The shows are full of two guitarist with different styles in Derek and Susan. Vocals handled by Susan, the keyboardist Gabe As well as three strong back up singers which Mike Mattison Takes a few vocal leads and Alicia Shakour Shows why Warren Haynes had her in his band with Mark's exceptional range adding so so much texture. The dual drummers Tyler and Isaac bring the heat of the driving force behind the rise to the crescendo of several songs. Horn Section comprised of Kibbie On Saxon flute as well as Elizabeth on trombone and Ephraim on trumpet Add so much in backing and then each one takes a solo. The light show Was there But minimal compared to Other large touring acts and the sound has been dialed in every single night and no matter where I sat. So much of what I've read online shows that this may be one of the best touring acts out there right now with something for everybody.
Over two hours of premier musicianship. Bravo. Worth every penny.
We have seen this band pretty much every time they come to town. I will probably not see them as often now, as I get annoyed by the 3-4 minute guitar solo on almost EVERY song. Just too much for me.
QE acoustics are excellent , but it’s a tough venue to mix sound in if the stage volume is to loud, which they’re sound engineer didn’t address… so you end up with a muddy mix., Susan’s along with backup vocals were lost in a middle toned muddy mix with Trucks guitar to loud, keyboards non existent and the bottom end lacking… the quieter Blues ballads provided the best sound, but the rest of the evening was lost in the loud muddy middle toned mix with the engineer trying to compensate with the volume on stage… very disappointing.
