STAIND IN CONCERT:

With three consecutive No. 1 albums of anthemic nu metal in the '00s, Staind became one of the most successful alt-rock groups of the decade.  Blending muscular guitar shredding and singer Aaron Lewis's emotional, melodic lyrics, the band's impressive live shows span their entire discography, treating fans to studio-perfect renditions of their biggest hits alongside alternative, countrified versions of songs like "Mudshovel."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Massachusetts in 1994, Staind started out playing hard rock covers in local clubs before self-releasing their 1996 debut Tormented. While they only pressed four thousand copies, the album garnered enough attention to land them a deal with Flip Records and the production assistance of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst for their 1999 follow-up Dysfunction. The album received favorable reviews and drew comparisons to nu metal legends like Korn, but its reception paled in comparison to 2001's Break the Cycle, an international No. 1 and multi-platinum smash. The band's next four albums would all land in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, establishing an impressive catalog of hits and building anticipation for the band's rumored return to the studio in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Staind was unbelievable. The band sounded amazing. Aaron's voice gives you chills live. They played everything...They even played quite a few new songs which they totally killed on."

"Staind dug deeply into their classics to get the crowd going. Aaron Lewis was great and seemed to be having fun during an audience participation sequence. Staind played every song I wanted to hear plus more so I left very satisfied."

"I expected a top flight show from Staind and got it...they exceeded my expectations. They had a great mix of hard and soft music; all Staind."

    Staind

by JK on 5/20/24MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Good sound, good venue. Unfortunately, expensive ticket cost not worth the short length of show of 1 hr 24 minutes. Had it been a 2 hr show- then 5 star review.

    Disappointed

by hdfsmith19 on 5/20/24MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Don’t get me wrong, Staind sounded great and was amazing! However, I would have NEVER paid $175 a seat for less than 1 1/2 hour show in subpar seating!

    Awesome Show!

Loved loved the entire show! Venue is easy access and parking. Only complaint would be lack of restrooms and concessions on the floor level. Otherwise, great time!

    Great, but also disappointing

by VS on 5/19/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

I've found that I don't particularly care for this venue, it's small with close-set seating, so I consider that in my review. The opening bands were awesome. Tim Montana and Saint Asonia were very engaging with the crowd, and played all the songs expected. Seether was a bit less engaging with the crowd, but still played all the songs expected (about 10 or 12 songs each for Saint Asonia and Seether, I think 6 for Tim Montana, but I was in the merch line when he started playing, so only caught the last 3 in seat) On to Staind - they were great... Kinda. Aaron was smoking and drinking throughout the show - do you, man, but after a bit, the mic stand seemed to be supporting him, then they all walked off for about 5 minutes, no notice, just lights off and silence. I figured it was a weird intermission - most bands do the solos while the lead takes their break at the halfway, so figured that's what was happening. They came back, he made a joke about doing the Amy Lee part on the Seether song at one of their shows, they did maybe 3 more songs, then abruptly said goodnight and walked off stage again. Some people looked around, confused, because they played MAYBE as long as Seether or Saint Asonia, but the lights were on and crew started taking things apart faster than I've ever seen at another concert before. They were really done. The concert was over at 10 PM. I've never left a concert before 11 before. There were several songs I expected them to play that they didn't. There was minimal crowd engagement. It just wasn't what I expected. It was great, but it wasn't.

    Great Time !

by Re'ne on 5/18/24The Wharf Amphitheater - Orange Beach

Every band was Great Entertainment. Tim Montana, St Asonia, Seether, Staind. Everyone knew the songs ...we all sang sometimes. I won tickets from Gulfport MS radio station 97.9 CPR Rocks which put me in the 306 section, which was just fine because I'm not tall. Here I could see everything. Plus we got a good breeze being outside venue;. The Wharf is Fantastic .

    Great concert, but....

by LJ on 5/18/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

When Seether & Staind performed, the sound was so loud & distorted, that if you didn't know the song, you wouldn't know what they were singing.

    Excellent show with awesome sets

by Steve-o on 5/18/24Oak Mountain Amphitheatre - Birmingham

The show and line up was incredible, I will say there was not a lot of crowd interaction, which some people might like, but it was all business all about the setlist and songs. I will say the production and sets themselves where excellent with very few popular songs from their catalogs being left out. Over all it was a great experience and having seen one of tge bands 11 times, would definitely pay to see them again.

I took my sons, 24 and 28, for their birthdays, along with their friends. We had a blast! Staind and Seether as well as the opening bands were awesome. The music and the graphics were exceptional! We hope to see them in concert again. The bands exceeded our expectations.

    Loved the concert and venue

by DUCK8 on 5/18/24Oak Mountain Amphitheatre - Birmingham

Loved the classic part of Staind’s concert. I always enjoy Aaron Lewis either as a rock star or country music artist. Seether was good. My wife liked them better than Staind. Loved Oak mountain in the spring
