But tickets for this event month in advance thinking it was the musical. Unfortunately, we were unpleasantly surprised to find out at the beginning of the show that this was the original pay the musical is based on. We weren't the only ones expecting to see the musical as about half of the audience left during the intermission.
The Shea's 710 venue is always great! As far as Spring Awakening...the storyline is important and always timely, the set was fine, orchestra seemed flawless, the actors/singers were very good however, the music/songs were so uninspiring and bland I found myself wanting it to hurry up and be over. Too many times I heard undertones of music from RENT which was distracting on one hand and disappointing on the other because the songs/lyrics in Spring Awakening never ascend to that level. Maybe would have been better as an in-depth play rather than musical.
Every minute was performed with heart and every song beautifully
I saw Spring Awakening in NYC years ago. It was fabulous! Was excited to see it in Buffalo! Not disappointed! Amazing cast! My husband, who does not like musicals loves it! Highly recommend!
The entire cast was fantastic. You could feel the energy and love from the group as a whole. Don’t miss this show!
Great show, great actors, great venue. The singing was spectacular.
The musical itself is amazing but the actors at Shea's 710 from MusicalFare were absolutely astonishing. So much talent and the theatre gave me such a great experience as It was small but big enough to give you a theatre experience.
I've see Spring Awakening 5 times and this is one of the best productions I've seen. I loved the sets. My wife has seen it 12 times and she agreed - one of the best!
We spent 6 hours driving to Syracuse to see this production. It was worth every second.
