Slightly Stoopid was discovered by Sublime’s Bradley Nowell in 1995. Co-founders Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald were still in high school in San Diego when they inked a deal with Nowell’s indie label Skunk Records. Fusing rock, reggae, and blues with hip-hop, funk, American folk, metal, and punk, Slightly Stoopid forged their sonic legacy on the road, selling out venues across the world and bringing their SoCal vibes to festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits and more. Albums like Everything You Need (2003), Closer to the Sun (2005) and Chronchitis (2007) feature summertime classics “2am” and “Closer to the Sun.”

Slightly Stoopid is always a good time and a great show🎵
I had never been to The Venue at Thunder Valley or even Thunder Valley casino before. The casino part stunk from stale cigarettes like most do, and I would never set foot in there again, but The Venue was incredible! I’ve seen hundreds of concerts in my lifetime and this venue makes it one of the best I’ve ever been to. Third time seeing Slightly Stoopid and they were on it. We gave them a packed house and most were standing throughout even though we all had assigned seats. You just can’t sit for Slightly Stoopid! Tremendously talented, a killer library of great songs, killed every one of them. Can’t wait to see them again at The Venue.
Maybe the worst experience I have ever had at a concert in terms of the venue. The band actually apologized in the middle of the show for how the bands fans were being treated. PATHETIC! Besides that, Slightly Stupid played great and sounded great. FIRE THE VENUE & ITS PEOPLE
The instruments were amazing but the vocals echoed throughout the building at the venue at thunder valley hard to listen to it it kind of reminds me of the old Echo Arena in Sacramento originally call Arco Arena
Everything went perfect! From parking, to seating, to the short concession and merch lines. Slightly grooved us into the night. Very up close and personal show. Love this venue! Love Slightly Stoopid!
The bands were amazing. We were on the bottom floor. Sound was off and lacked good quality. The bar line was decent and the drinks were good. Staff was amazing. Thank you Thunder Valley Casino, but please work on the sound quality. #MICCHECK!
Came early, expecting a big parking lot party - but there wasn't one where we parked. Maybe we missed it? The crowd was wonderful - everybody happy. No idiots... but then this is a "smoking"crowd so how could we be anything but fun?!?!? I'm now a huge 'The Movement' fan because of this concert. I liked 1 or 2 of their songs previously but now I'd love to see them again. 'Sublime' BLEW THE ROOF off the place (if there was a roof). Rome is the perfect addition and sound was great. Continuing the dog-on-stage [even though Lou is no longer with us. :-( ] is fun a tradition. I'd see them as headliners. I've been SO psyched to see Slightly Stoopid since I bought these tix and they didn't disappoint. What was a bit "off"was Miles' microphone... we could barely hear him. Not sure why - had no trouble hearing vocals for the previous bands. I thought the encore wasn't the best, though. We pay all this money to see/hear THIS band. I don't want to hear them cover others in an encore. They have SO many songs they could have played, but did the Beastie Boys instead - THAT was a big disappointment. I used to see Broadway-esk plays at Jones Beach as a kid. I know that stuff doesn't make the money that these concerts do so I understand the venue had to adapt. I miss the water between the stage and the seats though. The "experience"area (food, merch) outside the seating area is great. Food was pretty good too - but don't raise the prices anymore... already at the peak of what the public is willing to pay.
Great seats. Excellent show. I was there as a solo female and all ushers kept an eye on me. I appreciated it!!! Great nice staff!!
It was awesome. Sublime played there best songs, great performance. Slightly Stupid played great. Did a tribute to Petty and Buffet. Had special guedts, Beasty Boys. Great vibe in the crowd.
The venue was clean, crowd was great, vibe was awesome, and the music was wonderful. Had a great time with good company, music, and drinks!
