About

STRFKR on Tour

STRFKR has always been a constantly evolving entity, growing over the years from rambunctious beginnings into the manicured electro-pop perfection they exhibited on their last studio album, 2016's pristine Being No One, Going Nowhere. New single "Never The Same" is a sharp left turn from anything the band has explored before, hitting hard with a minimal arrangement of acoustic guitars, stripped down drums and Josh Hodges' familiar weightless vocals all bathed in lo-fi production. The song is warm and direct, with twisting melodies and a straightforward delivery that highlights how vulnerable the band's lyrics can be. This kind of careful, hushed energy is new territory for STRFKR, and it's a risky move for a band loved for their exclamatory synth pop. Going out on this ledge results in one of the band's most immediate and rewarding songs, one that's strange and beautiful but as intense as a secret being whispered in your ear.

    It was okay

    by Bianca on 4/5/24

Support the group if you like them, but I personally wouldn’t go again. The first opener was Happy Sad Face, and it was a pretty terrible performance. (They’re currently touring with STRFKR) A dancer from STRFKR tried to crowd surf and nearly fell. This wasn’t a show with an energetic crowd, so that whole bit wasn’t the smartest either. A lot of the tracks were pretty tame, and I personally wish they would’ve played more like “Bury Us Alive.” Good, but wasn’t the most memorable show, unfortunately.

    It was ok

by DJ The Beatles on 2/20/23The Underground - Charlotte

Not the best show I've ever seen. I was pretty bored, as was most of the crowd. The band seemed bored. The opener matched the vibe quite well (he was also bored). One of the speakers was blown which was super annoying to have to hear for the entire night.

    Awesome night!

    by drummer4207 on 2/18/23The Underground - Charlotte

New to this venue and it turned out to be a really cool little spot we plan to frequent in the future. We did the VIP experience and that was completely worth it. Featured an area raised in the center of the back. High tops and couches to chill and a separate bar which was also cool. Sound was great and we were able to see the entire show in comfort while still having room to dance. Strfkr did not disappoint. They put on a stellar show and had an incredible stage presence. Definitely recommend catching them live wherever you can!

Always a great time and pleasure to see Strfkr. They need to come to Charlotte more often. Forever one of my favorite bands.

Best concert I have ever been to

by Jackie on 6/11/22The Observatory - Santa Ana

I have loved this band for years now, I was finally able to see them in concert. My mind was blown, these guys rock. I couldn't stop bopping my head for the whole concert, most accurate to sound band I have ever heard. They killed it at this concert, they sound exactly like their recordings of their songs in person if not better. Awesome night, best concert going experience I have ever had. Observatory OC is my favorite venue in my area too, perfect night!

    Uhh Great Show

by ZWilk on 6/10/22The Observatory North Park - San Diego

North Park Observatory is an excellent venue. STRFKR knocked us off our feet. Great mixing, awesome secondary entertainers, heroic set list. Also just a cool area of town to be around for coffee and eats.

    Great Bans

by bbpitz on 6/10/22The Observatory North Park - San Diego

not sure if it was because of the 1st night of tour - but slightey disapointing! I really wanted to leave with that STRFKR high, and it failed: could have also been the crowd, but it was a great show. 2nd act sucked - he had no idea what persona he was trying to be - every song was a repeat of the last - opening act - 10/10 - will we see STRFKR again - FOR SURE

    Even Better the Second Time

by ShellaGood on 2/28/18Port City Music Hall - Portland

I absolutely loved seeing STRFKR the last time they came to Port City so I was very excited to see them again. They did not disappoint! Their music is fantastic and creative, and they have a tremendous stage presence. Anyone can dance and have a good time listening to it. Port City was the perfect venue for this intimate and interactive show. The small venue gave me the opportunity to talk to singer Josh after the show and he was so sweet and friendly. Will definitely see them again...if no more shows get cancelled by February blizzards!

STRFKR put on an awesome show!

by Hightopofficial on 2/28/18Port City Music Hall - Portland

They had dancers that were phenomenal and the music was so easy to get lost in! For $20, this was definitely an amazing way to spend a Sunday night.
