Queen + Adam Lambert on Tour
In 2018, the legend of Queen — the larger-than-life band that's been making grandiose, orchestrally inspired rock songs since 1970 — came to the big screen with Bohemian Rhapsody, a film about the life of original lead singer Freddie Mercury.
Led by Mercury and charged by the pyrotechnic guitars of Brian May, the commanding drums of Roger Taylor, and the rumbling yet melodic basslines of John Deacon, Queen blazed a bright trail through the rock world in the 1970s and '80s. They showcased their stunning vocal harmonies on tracks like the mini-epic "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the peppy "Don't Stop Me Now." They showed off their wide range on sonically disparate tracks like the disco-tinged "Another One Bites the Dust," the sweetly longing "Somebody to Love," and the arena staple "We Will Rock You."
Mercury passed away in 1991, but his legacy loomed large, and Queen's presence on classic rock radio and in pop culture resulted in the band commanding the imaginations of younger listeners. One of those fans was Adam Lambert, a San Diego singer who sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" when he tried out for the eighth season of American Idol.
Powered by his inventive reworkings of songs, towering voice, and overwhelming charisma, Lambert finished second in the show's 2009 balloting. May and Taylor — who appeared on that season's finale and performed with Lambert and eventual winner Kris Allen — were keenly aware of Lambert's range and innovation.
Lambert, May, and Taylor first performed as a unit at the MTV Europe Awards in November 2011, and a year later they played their first concert as Queen + Adam Lambert. Since then, they've toured the world, honoring Mercury's memory while bringing Queen's electrifying catalog to life on a nightly basis. In 2019, Queen + Adam Lambert will embark on the Rhapsody Tour, a 23-date North American tour that, in the words of May, will "rip it apart and get even more ambitious" than their previous jaunts.

If they happen to tour again, don't miss your chance to see them live. I bet money no other artist will ever top this concert. They still bring the energy, Adam does it all justice, and the virtual Freddie inclusion will bring tears to your eyes. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Do not sit this one out. They are legendary for a reason. Queen over Beatles any day of the week.
It was my first ever concert I went with my dad it was a fantastic concert but would have been better with Freddie but Brian and roger were great as always and Adam was killing it too!
This was my second time seeing Queen + Adam Lambert. They blew me away the first time and somehow topped it the second time. Adam is a great frontman and they honor the original band and Freddie throughout the show. This concert was full of amazing lighting, sound, graphics, and any other elements that went into it. I am so amazed by their professionalism and the timeless classics that we were able to enjoy.
Dream to see Queen with Sir Brian May! Fantastic show and great venue.
Queen was fantastic, and they sure picked a winner with Adam Lambert…
This was a bucket-list concert for me and it did not disappoint. If you get a chance, se these guys, you will not regret it.
Navigating to the venue and finding our seats proved challenging. The venue had two separate entrances—one for regular seats and another for floor seats. Upon reaching the entrance designated for floor seats, we encountered a lengthy line with minimal security assistance to expedite the process. Once inside, there was a lack of clear directions to guide us to our seats, leading us to traverse the entire venue. When we eventually reached our seats, our view of the concert was obstructed by standing attendees, though we were fortunate enough to still enjoy the music through sound.
I’ve been to over 20 QAL concerts. They blow me away every time. The people who attend QAL concerts are friendly and fun to talk with. Many are repeat attendees like myself. Queen is iconic and Adam is their gift from God. Together they are magic; a match made in heaven. There is none better. A must see.
The show was beyond anything I could imagine! So glad I could see Brian and Roger LIVE! Adam does a great job!
