About

Growing out of the San Diego, California punk scene, Pierce the Veil was founded by brothers Mike and Vic Fuentes in 2007 after the demise of their previous band and furthered praise for their emo post-hardcore sound. After signing with Fearless Records in 2011, their third album Collide with the Sky was released in July 2012, peaking at No. 12 on the U.S. Billboard 200, as well as No. 1 on the U.S Alternative and Rock charts. They joined the Vans Warped Tour again in 2012, toured North America with A Day to Remember and All Time Low, and played for ticket buyers with Bring Me The Horizon in Europe and the U.K. in 2013. Following the break-up of the group Before Today, the brothers Fuentes continued writing songs and recorded a new full-length album in Seattle under their new moniker. This debut album A Flair for the Dramatic was released in June 2007 on Equal Vision Records. They recruited lead guitarist Tony Perry and bassist Jaime Preciado and played the Vans Warped Tour in 2008, as well as concerts with Breathe Carolina and Thursday. Their sophomore studio album Selfish Machines came out in June 2010 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

Best Experience I've Had All Year!

    by Fire Fist on 12/10/23

This will be an unforgettable night for me. Destroy Boys (never heard of them before) was amazing will give add then to my spotify play list. David (I believe that's his name) was freaking amazing on guitar and knows how to give a show! Dayseeker will also go on my spotify play list. The song dedicated to his father who passed away from cancer was touching since I also lost my aunt from breast cancer. L.S.Dunes wasn't my cup of tea. Idk why, since I'm into punk/metal/rock/etc or else I wouldn't gone to see Pierce the Veil. Fist of all I wanna say it should've been me that got Vic's guitar not Sydney! (jk congrats to her) What an amazing night. I got tickets to the pit in the Viejas Arena, luckily I managed to get a good spot to see Pierce the Veil. I never expected for them to play the song "El Rey"by Vicente Fernandez before they took the stage but the crowd loved it and sang along (me included). My favorite sing that they played was Bulletproof Love as an acoustic version. Hold on till May was also great. Also the crowd was crazy!!!! All that mosh/pushing was insane. I brought my glasses incase I lost my contacts, which my mistake should've left them in my car, I thought they'd break from all the pushing the whole time! It was a damn miracle they didn't! Also thanks to the pushing I made it a bit closer to the stage. Will never forget the night!

    Awesome music, venue was eh

    by ii27 on 12/9/23

Love Pierce the Veil and the openers were amazing, it really was a great show with awesome music!! I only wish they would have played at a different venue since the Brooklyn Bowl is standing only and the tickets sold out super fast and I had to pay nearly quadruple for a resale ticket. I don’t think PTV knows how big they are lol. By the time PTV came on I was contemplating leaving because of much pain my legs and back were in, plus it got so hot and people were pushing their way up front. I love PTV and for sure want to see them again and would go through the back pain and numb legs again, but please at a different venue. Still gave a five star rating since I can’t give PTV anything less than a five 🤎

    Great band, unfortunate venue.

by JJ on 12/8/23Armory - Minneapolis

Pierce The Veil is always amazing every time i’ve seen them. They absolutely give their all and I have nothing negative to say, though one of their openers, L.S.Dunes was super unprofessional and killed the crowd by making an insensitive comment as the crowd was begging for security in a moment of silence. which brings me to my next issue with this venue, the armory. every single time i have been to this venue, which is probably about 10 times now, an abnormal amount of people pass out. the air is thick making it hard to breathe, and personally i’ve never felt this way at any other venue. security is slow to respond and the sheer amount of fainting at this show made it hard to enjoy. the armory absolutely has to do something about their ventilation or the fact that they charge $3 for water. hate this venue, love this band <3

    bad acoustics, great band

by cody on 12/7/23The Santander Arena - Reading

i loved all the bands, but the santander arena clearly wasn't made for playing music, so the lyrics of most songs were unintelligible.

    Good but not great

by CKLara on 12/6/23Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee

The ticketing process was extremely confusing - you offered add ons but neglected to accurately explain what they are actually for: apparently VIP Club Access is NOT VIP. No options were explained how to get actual VIP, I would had happily purchased VIP. the "Club access"I purchased was essentially a restaurant where you can't see the show, they didn't even put monitors in it so you could still watch the show. Absolutely zero seating for any length of time - there are plenty of other local venues that have still some seating options. Drinks were deceptive as well. I accidentally purchased a $25 drink, it wasn't explained that I'm buying the shaker that literally fell apart in my hands. The entrance and exits were an absolute nightmare - the employees literally said verbatim while we were all trying to exit that "this is a lawsuit waiting to happen"and they were not wrong. There is no organization, just mass chaos. I won't be recommending this venue to anyone.

    Great venue prices are ridiculous

by Nic on 12/5/23Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee

The venue is awesome, the VIP lounge is a nice touch. $14 for one beer is insane and $15 for parking is ridiculous. When there are no other options in the area for parking it is clearly a money grab. Businesses in the area will probably start to complain with concert goers parking in their lots. Also partnering with a provider like Verizon to increase phone reception is needed. Arena’s all do it. When you can’t order a Uber because there is no reception it doesn’t look good and can strand concert goers at the venue.

Pierce the Veil is one of my favorite bands, I’ve been listen to them for 7 years and this was the first time I’ve seen them live and they did not disappoint! Their stage presence is insane and they’re just overall amazing at what they do. I will definitely be seeing them again.

    Bands great! Venue ehh

by MZ on 12/5/23Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee

Performers were all excellent! Grew up listening to PTV, and was a treat to see them live. Sound in the venue was hot trash unless you were standing smack dab in the center. Really need to have the sound techs take more time to test and balance THE WHOLE ROOM. Split levels create a ton of interference so the second you got to the right or left (on both top and bottom levels) everything just got really distorted and drowned out. Venue is beautiful! But yeah, the sound issue kind of ruined the night. If you’re going to run a large venue like this, you gotta make sure it sounds good in every part of the venue guys 😅
