Melanie Martinez on Tour
Melanie Martinez's first major performance was no small gig. As a teenager, she sang, played guitar and tapped a tambourine with her feet to a crowd of over 12 million on national television, where she impressed three of four judges on NBC's The Voice. Since that momentous day in 2012, the singer-songwriter with the two-toned hair has quickly grown into a full-fledged pop star with a quirky alter ego (Cry Baby) to boot. Onstage, Martinez plays with a colorful, childlike whimsy with striking visuals to match. She first took her show on the road in 2014 for the Dollhouse tour, followed by the Cry Baby world tour to support her 2015 debut album. In between, she landed support slots alongside Lindsey Stirling and Adam Lambert. In 2019, to coincide with her sophomore album and first feature film, K-12, Martinez announced her next world tour.

Melanie Martinez's surreal alt-pop draws from an array of influences, from The Beatles to 2Pac to Britney Spears, the latter who would help bring the young singer-songwriter to TV screens across the U.S. The Queens-born, Long Island–raised Martinez started writing poetry in kindergarten and taught herself how to play guitar by the time she reached high school. In 2012, during her junior year, she landed a televised audition on NBC's The Voice, where she sang Spears' "Toxic." The performance earned her a spot on Adam Levine's team. She made it to the top six before being eliminated. Keeping up the momentum of her newfound fame, Martinez started working on original music. In 2014, she released her debut single "Dollhouse." Soon after, she signed to Atlantic Records and unveiled her debut EP, also called Dollhouse. The following year, she began teasing music from her debut album, including lead single "Pity Party," a dark, dance-y spin on Lesley Gore's classic 1963 track "It's My Party." In August 2015, she released Cry Baby — a reference to her being called "cry baby" as a kid. The album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart. To support the album, Martinez took on the role of filmmaker, directing some of her own music videos. She'd continue pursuing those ambitions for her second album, 2019's K-12, which is accompanied by its own fanciful full-length feature film, written and directed by Martinez herself.
I went to the portals tour in Cincinnati this year in July. It was such an amazing experience. She is an amazing performer my mom even enjoyed it and she doesn’t know English. I truly recommend going to the trilogy tour if you want to hear her sing her albums CRYBABY,K-12, After School ep, and PORTALS. Love you Mel keep being the amazing person you are 💗🕸️🕯️!
i love melanie so much but these prices are honestly ridiculous 😕 i had so much fun at the portals tour but if i knew she would be having another one with her other albums i would’ve waited

I wish i would've known they were going to Phoenix before getting tickets to las Vegas 😭 i thought the places that were released first were the only places she was going to. still worth it though, i love Mel and im so excited 🫶
I got engaged at her portals show in Cincinnati. It was the best night of our lives. We still talk about the show all the time and how it was the most perfect experience ever. Thank you for being a part of my engagement, Mel. We love you!
I’ve always gotten my tickets off of Ticketmaster hearing people complaining about the price, is making question how much I’ve spend. But I’m hoping I find good prices for this Melanie concert BECAUSE your girl needs them, this has always been my dream to go see her and she doing it on my birthday over here in Boston… so I really hope I get good seats and good price mostly that I’m bringing my cousins with me too.
Took my daughter to see her for Portals tour and this mama 40 years old became a fan! She is so fun and fans love her so much. We already got tickets for the Trilogy tour :)
I saw her for the first time in Cleveland, OH for the Portals Tour and she was amazing! and now I will be seeing her in Detroit, MI for The Trilogy Tour and I cannot wait! I am so excited to see Melanie again! Amazing performer, singer, and songwriter!

Literally Melanie has such a big heart and her fan base is so sweet <3 if your considering seeing Melanie in concert…GO DO IT! you wont regret it I loved every bit of it the opener was amazing, the fans were amazing! I saw her in Saint Louis for the portals tour while I was pregnant and it was a very magical and memorable experience for me, I cried the whole time and I can’t wait to take my child to see mel when they’re old enough 🥹
I remember when she started singing I started levitating and flying I couldn’t hear anything else it felt like magic in my ears I could feel butterflies in my stomach but in a good way until I went back into consciousness and started crying by how happy I was❤️❤️

I love Melanie I went to see her during portals but had to get resale because Ticketmaster let’s just anyone get tickets just to sell them n it’s super hard to get cheapish tickets even with a code and everything Ticketmaster do better there are people who actually really want to go and you still haven’t worked out a better system to prevent people from getting tickets just to sell for a higher price

I went to the portals tour in Minneapolis mn on July 12 2023, and it was SO GOOD. I live in Wisconsin, so I drove 5 hours to see her and it was worth it!!
