I love this park BUT !!!!!!!!! The acts that are being used at entertainment during the player change are family directed. We went once this year and there was a lady doing some nasty dance and during this game some guy juggling a chainsaw. I dont want my kids seeing something like that.
It was only 94 degrees, IN THE SHADE!!!! Wow, it was hot. That was the only negative. The ballpark was extremely clean for the fans and the field was immaculate. All of the park employees were extremely courteous and pleasant. We are from Avon Indiana, just west of Indianapolis. We usually go to Victory Field, home of the Indians, for baseball games. Everything I learned and experienced at The Bats game, is much more fan friendly than other parks. My kids were able to run the bases after the game but chose not to participate during defensive drills taught by the players. We were asked by team media prior to the game to participate in mid-inning festivities. We played "Ball under the hat game" on the big screen. After this event, we were awarded with a gift card to Texas Roadhouse. I am very impressed by the hospitality of their employees and facilities. Thank you so much for such a great Father's Day with my kids!!!
What a beautiful stadium and family friendly atmosphere! Even though it was VERY hot, the family enjoyed the game and venue. Minor league parks are the best bang for the money!
The game was fun. The parking was great. The only problem was the concession workers are slow, and just have that attitude of "I don't care to be here". Ball park is beautiful.
I know that we all have off days, and that goes for baseball teams. The Bats were off last night, really bad. But the evening was wonderful, very enjoyable. Our friends want to go back again too! Thanks for a lovely evening, HOT but fun.
The game was great and in a very nice venue. Bathrooms were accessible and plentiful. The only downside was not being able to hear the band that played before the game.
Been a while since i had been to a Bats game, What sheer delight. Stadium is fantastic, and at $11 for box seats, what a great value. The atmospere is very fan friendly and always neat to see some future major leaguers. Not a bad seat in the park, and they truly do cater to families.
We loved it !!!! The game was awesome(Bats won!) and the fireworks were a perfect ending to thre day.
we went to the game with family for memorial day and it was sooooo much fun. the fire works at the end of the game were amazing and the bats won the game . Awesome family entertainment everyone should go to a game
Tickets are reasonable, but food and drinks are very expensive. Overall a good time. Ushers are very friendly.
Love the Bats games! There is always enough entertainment to occupy my 10 year old during the games. That particular night was Memorial Dave eve. There was supposed to be fireworks but a solid thunderstorm came and we left during the 9th inning.
I only make it to a Bats game once or twice a year. Each time I ask myself why don"t I go more often? This is a beautiful park filled with great people! There isn't a bad seat in the house, the park looks new year after year and it's agreat place to take kids & grand kids alike.
I took my son to the game as a surprise for his 9th birthday. He got to run the bases with Buddy and then had his birthday on the Videoboard. He said that it was his best birthday ever. He absolutely loved it and had a wonderful time. Even besides the birthday celebration, we had a great time at the game. The Bats games are very interactive with having lots of things going on in between the innings. That allowed my 2 daughters to stay interested in the game, who aren't big baseball fans. I am definitely taking the family back to the game again.
We went to see the Yankees Triple A team play the Bats in Louisville. This was our first time to this ballpark. It was a really nice facility very close to the waterfront. It was very easy to walk to from most of the downtown hotels. If you like baseball -- I'd recommend taking in a game here. Triple A baseball games are a great value for the money.
Bummer, Bats lost. Not much excitement from the field in this game. I had more fun watching the kids participating in events during the ball game. I am sure they will do better next time. GO BATS!!!!!!
The park was very nice and clean, game was great, great stadium, wish they would have opened the gates for batting practice.
Great family atmosphere, and great prices on $1 hot dog and $1 Pepsi nights!
Louisville Slugger Field is a great place to spend time with friends and family of all ages. My family and I go every chance we can. A wonderful park in a great location with good concessions. The most expensive ticket is $11.00, so you have no excuse! The Bats have gotten off to a rough start, but at the game we went to they beat the Rochester Redwings 16-4, so maybe they're turning things around.
It was your typical baseball game. Nothing spactacular. Food concessions people were VERY rude (I visited 4 different concession stands and got the same attitude from each).
