About
Los Angeles Clippers History
The Clippers joined the NBA in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, an expansion team located in Buffalo, N.Y. The franchise selected future star forward Bob McAdoo in 1972 with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft. He was named NBA MVP in the 1974–75 season, and remains the only player in the history of the Clippers franchise to win that honor.
The franchise, led by new owner Irv Levin, moved to San Diego in 1978 and was renamed as the Clippers. The franchise's stay in San Diego didn't last long. Levin sold the team to Donald Sterling in 1981, and he moved the franchise 120 miles north to Los Angeles.
The Clippers began their best era of success in 2010, when they drafted Blake Griffin with the No. 1 overall pick. One season later they acquired Chris Paul in a trade with the New Orleans Hornets, and "Lob City" was born. They advanced to the second round of the playoffs that same season, recording their second playoff series win in 36 years. The Clippers followed that by setting a new franchise record with 56 wins in the 2012–13 season, which began a streak of five consecutive seasons with 50 or more wins and a playoff berth.
During the 2022–23 season, the Clippers, led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, again returned to the playoffs. They fell to the Suns in the first round.

Rating: 4 out of 5by Anonymous on 10/22/14Mandalay Bay Events Center - Las Vegas I appreciated the fact that this event was available as another option for an event to attend during visit to Las Vegas. Please continue this event as a basketball fan I was able to enjoy a well-rounded vacation.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Missed being in a real. Asked all arena
by HilG on 10/22/14Mandalay Bay Events Center - Las VegasWe had great seats , but very disappointed in attendance! On Ticketmaster it showed all the seats in the first 20 rows sold out, yet there were many empty seats. As a result, there was little energy from the crowd . Maybe they were still gambling? Also, we missed having the instant replays and scoreboards with stats over center court. You had to look at smaller screens in corners, making it harder to see the action.
Rating: 1 out of 5 Never again - Clippers game
by jesslimp123 on 10/21/14Mandalay Bay Events Center - Las VegasI purchased seats in the first row 113 row EE seats 5 & 6 (thinking I had the best view). the front row was gated off from the courts (which they did not specify on ticketmaster). The court was in my dads face and we could not even see any of the players play. The whole game was covered by the court! I told the usher to switch our seats because there was two seats available in another section and she said "deal with it" because that is what I purchased. I bought the tickets for my dads birthday but we didnt see the game. The usher at Mandalay Bay was very rude! Poor experience overall.
Rating: 5 out of 5by sabribi on 10/21/14Mandalay Bay Events Center - Las Vegas It was a good time. Good seats, friendly people around. Event I wouldn't mind going to again.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Great venue for NBA Game!
by nchillin on 10/21/14Mandalay Bay Events Center - Las VegasHad a great time and venue was well set up! Only recommendation if any would be to have food and drink booths (even if it's just limited to easier prep food and beer cans) set up on the sides at the floor level and also have restroom access there. Sucks to have to walk all the way up and down ;)
Rating: 5 out of 5 just amazing arena
by Juicemanbam on 10/21/14Mandalay Bay Events Center - Las VegasI stopped dead in my tracks when I first entered the actual arena, this place is so compact it felt like a highschool game. I was more than ecstatic to be so close to my heroes and I thoroughly enjoyed the game though my clippers lost.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Great Game!
by Numbskull on 5/14/14STAPLES Center - Los AngelesThe Clippers are arguably the most exciting team in the NBA right now. They have a dynamic group of players led by what I believe is the best coach in the league, Doc Rivers. Watching this team perform under Doc Rivers' inspirational leadership is a wonderful treat. I also like seeing the team's intense loyalty to each other and their relentlessness. This was a particularly epic playoff game against an impressive Oklahoma City Thunder team. The Clippers came all the way back from a large deficit to win an emotional game in the final minute. What a great time the fans had. Also, the Staples Center is a great venue for a sporting event. In addition to having a good view of the action, I appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, including the ushers and vending personnel. I've been to several Clipper games this year. Thanks for a fun time. "One Team. One Goal." ....We're all with ya!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Good event
by Kwhis on 5/14/14STAPLES Center - Los AngelesAlthough I did not like the outcome of the game, the experience was a great one. The facility was easy to get to (for my first visit), the vibe was good and the fans for the most part were respectful (even though we are fans of the visiting team. I would definitely go to another Clipper game when my team is in town.
