About

THE BEGINNING . . . Jim Breuer, born on June 21, 1967 in Valley Stream, Long Island, has established himself as one of the most outrageous comedians in the U.S. through his incredible stand-up performances, charismatic stage antics and impressions, various television appearances, movie roles and his Sirius Satellite Radio show.   A stand-up comedian since his high school days at Valley Stream Central High School in Valley Stream, New York, Jim worked in comedy clubs around the country for several years before deciding to become a regular on the New York comedy club circuit. After being in New York for only seven months, he landed a gig on the nationally syndicated show, "Uptown Comedy Club," where he spent two seasons.   HITTING IT BIG . . . In 1995, Jim joined NBC's "Saturday Night Live," becoming best known for his original character "Goat Boy" and his impression of actor Joe Pesci, resulting in the recurring "Joe Pesci Show" sketch.  Word of his uncanny imitation of Pesci spread to the actor himself, who later made a surprise appearance on "SNL" to confront the comedian -  creating one of the most memorable skits in the show's history - which was later featured on the documentary, "101 Most Unforgettable Top SNL Moments."   In 1998, after a four-year stint on "SNL," Jim starred in the movie "Half Baked," alongside of comedian Dave Chappelle.  That summer, MTV also invited the comedian to be a host on the popular show "MTV's Beach House," which featured Jim strolling the New Jersey shore boardwalk with hidden cameras. Additional appearances include numerous stints on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," as well as roles in several movies, such as "Dick" (1999) and "Once in the Life" (2000), and in 2006, he made a cameo appearance in Artie Lange's movie "Beer League."  Also in 2006, Jim was named as the new host of VH1's popular show "Web Junk 20," where he guides viewers through the top 20 viral clips of the week.   ON THE ROAD . . . Jim Breuer pioneered the "heavy-metal comedy" revolution, combining his love of rock ‘n' roll with comedy.  Backed by a full band, Jim continues to entertain packed crowds with his impressions of AC/DC's Brian Johnson doing "The Hokey Pokey" and Metallica singing "If You're Happy and You Know It."  In July 2007, word of Breuer's uncanny impression of Brian Johnson spread to the rock god himself, who personally requested that Jim sing with him live onstage during a John Entwistle Foundation benefit concert at BB King's Blues Club in New York.  The comedian joined Brian Johnson onstage to perform a hilarious duet of Breuer's classic version of "Hokey Pokey," followed by an encore performance of "Highway to Hell". Jim's "Heavy Metal Man" comedy tours also feature a mix of routines that have become cult favorites, such as "The Wizard," "Coming Home at 4 a.m." and "Party in the Stomach."  This revolutionary style of stand-up comedy secured Jim a spot on Comedy Central's list of the "100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time."  Following his hour special on Comedy Central, Jim was invited to be a special guest host on "MTV Icon: Metallica," VH1's "Rock Honors" and Comedy Central's "Roast of Denis Leary."  Unlike other comedians, Jim also shows his fans a softer side with his "Family Man" show, where he brings hilarious anecdotes about being a family man to life through charismatic stage antics and impressions.  Nothing is sacred, as Jim introduces the audience to his family, telling side-splitting stories about his Dad (a.k.a. "Shuffles"), going to tap dancing lessons and gymnastics with his daughters and more. Throughout the years, Jim has also supported various charities through his comedy, including the Chris Farley Foundation, VH1 MusiCares, his local police and fire departments and more.   UNLEASHING ON FANS . . . In 2004, Jim began his career at Sirius Satellite Radio as the host of his own show "Breuer Unleashed" on RawDog 104.    Along with co-hosts, comedian Pete Correale and his high school buddies Larry Schneidmuller and Jimmy "Shaka," "Breuer Unleashed" takes listeners through a wide array of topics from music to family and friends to baseball and more.  A variety of guests have appeared on "Breuer Unleashed," ranging from legendary rock stars like AC/DC's Brian Johnson, Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Rob Zombie and Willie Nelson, to comedy greats Chevy Chase, Bill Cosby, Denis Leary and Dave Attell, and celebrities like Howard Stern, Luke Wilson, Matt Dillon, Sugar Ray Leonard and more.  Airing live weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST, "Breuer Unleashed" is celebrating its third year on Sirius.

    Jim Breuer

by Flipper on 3/26/24The Summit Showroom at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

The handicap seats were excellent (Section 2. Row G, seats 31 & 32). We were escorted to our seats, the wheelchair was taken care of before and after the show - all excellent! We really liked Joe Sipp's opening act, maybe even more than Jim. I had a hard time hearing Jim because of his fast pace, especially after some of his sound effects. Funny man, but I lost some of the humor in the 'translation'.

    Jim never disappoints

by SirLindsey on 3/26/24The Summit Showroom at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

I’ve seen Jim twice live and he has had me in tears with laughter both times! Probably my favorite comedian. More storyteller than telling jokes, Jim has a very unique way of using comedic elements to tell hilarious stories of his life and perception of life! Common sense is his filter. Refreshing this day and age! Always a clean show that would never make you uncomfortable bringing your family or friends! Plus, Jim loves rock and roll as much as I do!

Great stories with a side of great physical humor.

by Mateo on 3/25/24The Summit Showroom at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

Just caught Jim's act in a mid-sized venue in Vegas (for the second time), and he was hilarious. Even when he's just "chatting"with the audience, he was very clever off the cuff, and had a certain relatability with everything he said. It's definitely a show you won't regret.

Truth is Funnier than Years of Lies

by Foxywriterchick on 3/20/24The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

I've been an admirer of Jim Breuer for a few years now--maybe since his "Party in Your Stomach"schtick back in the innocent early years of the millenium, but his new material is better than ever and he continues speaking the icky truth through his brilliant comedy. Breuer is at once a cerebral comic and a physical comic, and he weaves his craft so deftly that you can't help but hold your ribs as you laugh at the obvious truths most are afraid to articulate. Truths that are political--and yet, not. Truth is truth. And funny is funny. We had the best time--great venue and great comic. The next time he comes around, we will be front and center, and laughing until we cry.

    A wonderful, fun show

by Katie on 3/19/24The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

This was mine and my husband's first comedy show. It left us wanting more! Both Jim and his opening act were hysterical. We plan on seeing them again and hopefully other comedians in the future. Thank you for sharing your art with us and so many more.

A few laughs, but couldn't hear him very well

by Mt Airy Doug on 3/19/24The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

Jim's style, which includes a lot of crazy sounds and voices, requires a good sound system to hear him and know what's going on. The volume wasn't high enough, and the acoustics were poor, so I literally could only hear and understand MAYBE half of what he said. There were a few good laughs, but it wasn't a stellar experience.

    A Fun Time

by Katy on 3/19/24The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

Finding parking was a breeze. The venue is cozy and inviting. The drink line was insane, but, hey, it's Hagerstown. I expected that. But best of all, he is hilarious! I had a great time.

by Walt on 3/17/24F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Needs to give up or change the colonoscopy comic He’s fantastic other than that. I know he change it up. Maybe more ostrich imitations? Or more animal imitations?

    Hilarious!

    by Buns219 on 3/17/24F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Went to the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre PA, which is close to home. Love this venue, there's not a bad seat in the house. Jim Breuer was hilarious as always! Loved his opener but sadly can't remember his name, SORRY! My only complaint is the show wasn't long enough, lol, it was but I could've stayed to laugh much longer.
