This is my third time seeing Jay Brannan. Bitch opened for him and it's a great combo as both are wildly talented and engaging. Jay's voice and presence are beautiful. He engages the audience, is funny and endearing. Not to mention hot. There was one dumb ass that was distracting him and he handled it with class and grace. I wish he would come here more often.
This concert was very cool. Jay was even better live. The venue was very small with not much to it. Luckily there weren't too many people there. But the concert was very good and I'm very happy I went! We even got autographs and a CD for the trip home
I purchased these tickets as a birthday gift back in May... The recipient enjoyed this event thouroughly. Jay was very personable. The Basement was a great venue to hold such an inimate concert. Jay has killer vocals and guitar skills. Definitely was impressed after only before hearing his music. I definitely would recommend this event and hope to see him again in the future. Best of luck to him. Support this up and coming, talented artist. PS - I loved the merch. I have no idea where I will ever wear my "bitch" t-shirt, but it rocks !
Jay Brannan was brilliant, of course, but he was only able to play for an hour...which was not fair! He needed AT LEAST 2 hours!
I've seen jay brannan in Boston every year since he started touring. He involves the audience, shares stories, and even asks for what songs YOU want to hear. He's funny, and sweet, and very down to earth. His show never disappoints. His singing is impeccable. His opening act, Chris Pureka was just as amazing. I am now a new fan of hers. All in all, his shows are perfect in every way. Love!
This was Jay Brannan's first performance ever in Pittsburgh, and he is well worth the wait! His set was very well balanced between playing songs and engaging the audience in conversation. He managed to fit so many songs into an hour! If you're a fan, go see Jay perform in person. If you've never heard of him before, STILL GO! He sounds incredible in person, and you won't be disappointed. (Jay was also very generous with his time while meeting his fans at the merch table after his set).
The concert was super cool, the atmosphere relaxed, the singer very nice and available to talking to fans. No food available on site and no possibility of reentering.
Great set list, funny performer, very down to earth. All around great show.
Mr. Brannan played another outstanding show in Boston. He played several new songs from his album 'Rob Me Blind' and some covers including Nicki Minajs' 'Super Bass!' my third time seeing Jay and won't be my last!
If the eye candy that is Jay Brannan is not enough to get you to see him live in concert than maybe you are not worthy of listen to his heart and soul spread out in song. Jay's music is so moving and so true, not to mention beautiful. Let's not forget how Jay makes you feel like you are his best friend's at a party in his NYC flat (not that all of us would have fit into any NYC flat). This was the third time I had seen him live and I already wish his next show was only a day away!
