We spent a great evening! They were perfect, Chris Pureka and Jay Brannan. Both have an amazing voice, they are very close to the public and they have great sense of humor. Thanks a lot! And the audience were very receptive! We had a great time!

Wonderful music and even better stage presence. What a fun concert!

  • song-list left a little to be desired.

I've been to two of his shows before, however this one stood out only because, he performed last, and played mostly my least favorite songs. I suppose this is only a matter of opinion. I guess I was looking forward to hearing more from his last album, in living cover, but he played some much older pieces that my friends and I didnt' particularly care for.

  • Amazing singer/ songwriter.

All of the acts that night were amazing. Glad I got to see other performers that I was not aware of. The only downside of this was the standing all night watching the acts. For this type of music I would have perfered tables to sit at. It would have made the show much more enjoyable. But that is the venue, not the performers fault.

  • Jay & Far From Falling were awsome!

by Saphire105b on 9/23/10The Triple Rock Social Club - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Jay Brannan & Far From Falling were awsome! I have seen Jay Brannan 4 times and Far From Falling twice and to date this was the best concert i saw for both bands. Being an acoustic concert you could really hear the talent that both bands truly have. The audience was a little inconsiderate and talked through Jay's set but he had a fantastic performance!!!

Jay is a brilliant singer-songwriter with a gorgeous voice. His show is full of humor -- some self-deprecating -- and heartfelt sentiment. You'll be mesmerized.

I absolutely found Jay to be the most accessible and talented young man to come along in years. I really enjoyed this concert and was amazed at how simple a friendly he was with the audience. Loved it. G

  • Stunning, intimate, poetic, authentic Jay Brannan

by Jazzfiddler on 9/20/10The Triple Rock Social Club - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Jay Brannan is a modern day wandering minstrel. He is a poet with lyrics that capture all the nuances of life and love. He has a crystal clear bell like voice and is very clear and tonally adept. He has a simple, honest presentation which makes you feel like he is singing just to you. He celebrates all of life from the joys to the trauma.

  • unbelievably incredibly wonderful

What's to say, and how to summarize such an act. Jay Brannan has an amazing set of talents combined with incredible dedication and drive that is clearly evident. Fun, emotionally engaging, intellectually stimulating, captivating, just begins to describe the experience.

  • Jay Brannan & Terra Naomi will blow you away

by Justcory on 6/16/10Roxy Theatre - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

This wasn't my first time seeing Jay Brannan or Terra Naomi but it's my first review. Both had awesome set lists, great stories, hilarious jokes & amazing lyrics. They are such a great team playing together and it doesn't matter who headlines you'll be hanging on both of their words and drawn into each song. Neither of them should be defined by any one song of theirs no matter how popular because they have a host of others that are just as worthy of the same recognition. They both get up there with just a piano or guitar and blow you away with awesome lyrics, vocals and playing. Worth checking out.

It was honestly one of the best shows I've been to in a while. I had not heard of David and Devine or Terra Naomi, but both were incredible! They were hilarious and really got the crowd going.

  • Awesome

    by bvd69dale on 10/24/09The Social - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Once again, Jay Brannan put on an awesome show! The opening act, Sarah Purser, was also very good :)

  • by Anonymous on 10/23/09The Social - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Jay and Sara were absolutely wonderful! They both were great with including the audience. There was no shortage of charm on both performers.

  • Jay Brannan gives a great show.

by Anonymous on 10/22/09The Social - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

The Social in Downtown Orlando is a small venue, but last night it held no small performance as Jay Brannan played. Great set list, with vocals that sound better in person than on the CD (if that is even possible). Jay is a genuinely nice person, with great talent and a great passion for his music, and puts on an excellent show.
