In certain serendipitous cases, a band’s name perfectly encapsulates their essence, and heavy metal rockers In This Moment are a case in point - the sheer power and immediacy Maria Brink’s vocals make it difficult to be anywhere else. Simultaneously vulnerable and snarling, Brink’s emotional growl is a focal point on 2012’s Blood, the band’s 4th – and most successful – album to date. Singles like “Blood” and “Whore” pulled no punches, landing the album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and cementing Brink’s place as one of the dominant female voices in alternative metal. After forming in Albany in 2005, the band’s 2007 debut Beautiful Tragedy quickly made them a metal festival staple and the opening act of choice for bands like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. Their 3rd album, 2010’s A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was a crossover success, landing at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart and spawning a hit with “The Promise”. On Tour in 2013, the band has been blowing ticket buyers away with their thundering live concert, pulling fans into the moment with Brink’s commanding presence.
Over the course of their career, In This Moment have played many famous venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and House of Blues.
In This Moment killed it live!! Maria sounds fantastic and the show is theatrical and fun. They rocked the house down. Can’t wait to see them again.
This was my first metal concert and it did not disappoint! The venue was super clean with friendly staff. The people that attended were all there to have fun and it wasn’t too crazy. Lots of cool bands that I discovered on this day too!
Hands down the most bad*** concert. Maria’s vocals are perfect!! 🤘🏻
This was my first time seeing In This Moment live, and from the second I heard the first beat to The Purge, my knees instantly gave out from the excitement. The energy throughout the entire show was completely unreal. I can’t wait to go to the next show. Cannot recommend enough to anyone even if you’re not a fan of metal.
Avatar & Ice Nine Kills were beyond amazing live!!
I got VIP tickets for me and a friend and got to meet In this Moment before the show. They was all so nice and was such an amazing experience that I will always remember. The show was mind blowing like nothing I’ve seen since Linkin Park. Motionless in White and From Ashes to New was amazing too. It was definitely worth the money I paid and I’ll always be glad I got to go to this show. My friend loved it too. We definitely had the time of our lives that night. All the bands were so nice and we had so much fun. I’d do it all over again if I could.
Great concert. Best one ever. Wish there was more time for Avatar. Maybe next time they can have In This Moment , Ice IX Kill and Avatar. Can do without New Year Day. Please bring these band back to Johnstown PA or close around
Excellent experience other than avatar honestly had they opened I would have probably left zero cares were given to the crowd as they played multiple injuries zero cares. I hope they (avatar) read this an not bother coming back here. However the other acts were perfect
This show had very short intermission time between bands, so shoutout to the dedicated crew. The only negative thing that’s worth mentioning is how In This Moment had fire and dry ice for their set. When both went off, the dry ice would form pellets and came down hitting people in the front. This was not a pleasant feeling on the skin…Other than that, everything else regarding the venue, performances etc. was left on a good note!
I attended the Kiss of Death Tour at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, Pa. on December, 1st. 1) New Years Day ... female metal band kicked it off as the opening act. 2) Avatar... A band from Sweden. The lead singer was the ultimate showman and reminded me of Alice Cooper. 3) Ice Nine Kills... this is the band that I WANTED to see. They delivered a very polished, extremely good show. 4) In This Moment ... This band was musically tight...I loved the band's sound. I loved the back-up dancers and the choreography between the lead singer and her dancers. The pyrotechnics were awesome. I would see all of these bands again. I especially would like to see Avatar again. That band impressed me. I knew NOTHING about them going into this concert. I came out a fan.
Me and my Fiance had such a great time. Only negative was a single guy starting problems with people. Was handled after a awhile a right back to enjoying the show. Will be getting tickets again.
Best concert I've been to so far! Most awesome performance ever!🤘🤘🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Let me just start off by saying this was the most incredible concert I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to over 100! The bands sounded absolutely amazing! View was great from our seats but they’re entirely too small! I’m on the bigger side but I’ve never had an issue sitting in an arena seat before! My knees were smashed into the seat in front me as well. I ended up standing half the show. Fortunately my friend was behind and understood. Please update the seating!
Came late so missed out on New Year’s Day but came before avatar ice nine kills and in this moment. Every last one was a show stopper one of the best I’ve been to
Very theatrical presentation. Visually creative and impressive. Music sounded fantastic. All around good stuff!
New Years Day Avatar Ice Nine Kills In This Moment Excellent performances from all these bands. Would definitely see them again🤘
Great bands and best show in johnstown since they got great bands to come
Absolutely amazing show!! All bands put on a wonderful show!! This is the second time we have been to see in this moment and I will definitely go again if they are in the area!! Thanks for a great time!!
To say they are just another band would be a total denial of the truly awesome power this band is both on album and in person. They know how to work the crowd and Maria is an absolute goddess on stage. Their is a reason why they call her the Queen. I was also moved by her fan interaction as well as her tribute to the veterans. Being a veteran myself, I really appreciated her paying tribute to us when she absolutely didn't have to. 10/10 would absolutely see them again and absolutely plan on it.
Bands were great. Sound for vocals mumbled. Seats not made for bigger folks.
