In certain serendipitous cases, a band’s name perfectly encapsulates their essence, and heavy metal rockers In This Moment are a case in point - the sheer power and immediacy Maria Brink’s vocals make it difficult to be anywhere else. Simultaneously vulnerable and snarling, Brink’s emotional growl is a focal point on 2012’s Blood, the band’s 4th – and most successful – album to date. Singles like “Blood” and “Whore” pulled no punches, landing the album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and cementing Brink’s place as one of the dominant female voices in alternative metal. After forming in Albany in 2005, the band’s 2007 debut Beautiful Tragedy quickly made them a metal festival staple and the opening act of choice for bands like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. Their 3rd album, 2010’s A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was a crossover success, landing at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart and spawning a hit with “The Promise”. On Tour in 2013, the band has been blowing ticket buyers away with their thundering live concert, pulling fans into the moment with Brink’s commanding presence.
Over the course of their career, In This Moment have played many famous venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and House of Blues.
Good show, terrible venue (Ovens Auditorium, Charlotte)
This show was amazing. I really felt like the venue had their ducks in a row. Show itself was amazing as always.
The venue was nice and clean. Good visibility of the show from the balcony. Excellent performance
I was waiting for this concert for a long time, because I had never seen this band in concert before. So, she was thinking about the old albums. But I'm still waiting. The concert is like Lady Gaga's concert, in each song, Maria changes her dress. She always used a platform to sing, so I don’t feel that “magic” of the band. All the songs are from the new albums, so I think people who have followed this band since the beginning feel the same. For me it was not a good concert.
Were audio issues with her. Lots of pause between songs. Love in this moment but it’s bad when the opening act beat the main group hands down.
Second time seeing Maria Brink, first time seeing In This Moment. The show was fantastic, outfit changes were on fire, and the band and dancers killed it. I absolutely loved the venue and cannot wait to go back.
Honestly I’ve been a Fan of them for years. I genuinely enjoyed their music but the performance was a let down for me. she pretty much stayed on her podium thing the entire night and kept giving a lot of motivational speeches “you’re beautiful everyone !” It felt like metal on Broadway . I respect that they are different. The crowd was bored with the other performers and the artists before her were just ok.. it was all underwhelming..I still am a big fan of their music, but I honestly would not pay to see them live again.
The show and venue were awesome as always! No issues and was even able to get to the merch table for ITM this time :-)
Such a great show! Loved it from start to finish. I hope they come back to Myrtle Beach again.
Was a great shows the openers were okay but definitely did not do justice headlining for In this moment but weren't horrible. Kim Dracula set was really good with the lights and the theatrics. In this moment absolutely blew it out of the water! Can't wait to see them again live!
In This Moment puts on a hell of a good show. The full transformation between every song with epic set designs and elaborate costume changes makes the whole performance a must-see experience. Besides the fact that their music is awesome, especially live! Kickass entertainment at its best!
Met maria brink she is stunning and so sweet the best performance I've seen yet ! Definitely a memory I will hold close to my heart
In This Moment puts on a great show, Maria Brink is an outstanding singer and superb performer !!
What an experience!!! That show has become one of my top 3 I've ever been to. Mike's Dead did a great job of getting things kicked off. I See Stars were amazing as per usual. This was my 2nd time seeing them. I didn't know wbat to expect with Kim Dracula but whoa. Totally a fan now. And last but not least In This Moment. There aren't enough words to describe the experience. Again all i can say is what a show!!!! I loved it!!!
Show was good, don't get me wrong, but I'm sure it's certainly better for a first time goer. I've seen ITM seven or eight times now, and the show is pretty much verbatim. Set list changes very slightly, and the acoustic NIN cover was refreshing, but it's almost a replica of the last show I saw three or four years ago. The vocals seem to be a little muted/distorted as well, especially during choruses of the middle of the show... Blood felt 'low energy's because of it. I enjoyed openers Mike's Dead & Kim Dracula.
In This Moment was great. What a show! Loved that it was all ages and I was able to bring my 15 year old son with me. We both had a great time. A memory we'll both have for many years to come!
Mainly brought my daughters to see the concert. I’ve seen plenty of shows at “The Barn” from Iron Maiden back in the 80s to Danzig, Nine Inch Nails and more in the 90s. My kiddos are big fans of Motionless In White and In this Moment. They had a great time, and amazingly, so did I. Never a bad seat at the Coliseum. Great performances by everyone: Mike’s Dead, Kim Dracula, Motionless In White, and In This Moment. I’m also now a big fan of In This Moment and Kim Dracula!
Great show! Kinda hard to see Maria Brink but had a great time. motionless killed it ❤️
In This Moment's performance was theatrical, way too much fog worst of all never saw any of the band members sing due to them wearing masks.
The concert was amazing <3 Every band that showed up was awesome! In this moment, Mikes dead, Kim Dracula, Motionless in White, I hope they all come back to El Paso soon.
