About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

Heart rocked as they always do

    by Paul-san on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Cheap Trick played for an hour. Heart played for an hour and a half. Both groups played their hits.

    A spectator.

by Mike on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

This was the best concert I have ever attended and I’m 71! (Interesting that the featured performers are age 71 and 73!) I loved the fullness of the sound, the acoustics of the venue, the clarity of the sound, the lighting, the movement and colors of the changing backdrop and, of course, the proficiency of the band and its support crew.

Heart was great and no pot:-) @ The Schott!

by DeeP on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Heart was great and I noticed no pot smoke, which is huge for me! I loved all the songs Heart played, and I was especially pleasantly surprised by “Dog & Butterfly,” “Mistral Wind” and the Led Zeppelin covers. Great musicianship and well-worth the ticket price! Cheap Trick was good too, except for a nebulous period in the middle of their set where there was a lone guitar playing, but I couldn’t make out any distinct chord progressions at all. It was like fiddling around between songs or something, without sounding anything like free jazz—more like a brain fart. They seemed to be lost, but then, suddenly, they pulled out a few great old favorites at the end and had everyone cheering. I have a lot of respect for these rock icons; they’ve been through a lot of years together and are very respectful to the audience which is always nice. All told, it was good to see them, but I think I missed Bun E.

    Blah

by Stan on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

I am certain that it was not the band's fault. I don't know how much blame goes to The venues acoustics and how much blame goes to The sound man! Either way I could not, nor the friend i was with, could make out the words either band was singing!

    Not enough energy

    by Golfrino60 on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Heart sounded excellent but just didn’t have enough energy. There was something wrong with the sound during Cheap Tricks performance.

    Heart - Still Fantastic

by TG on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

The Heart concert was simply amazing. The Wilson's voices/harmony sounded perfect as they sang their well known hits. Surprisingly, they entertained with a few Led Zeppelin hits. All the musicians were excellent and provided a great level of professionalism and showmanship. Don't miss this one! Great venue.

    Great venue and band

by Joe on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Schott is the best large venue for concerts in Cbus. Heart was excellent. Cheap Trick could have done without. Rather hear some good regional blues, or rock band as warm up. All in all very good experience!

    Heart was awesome

by lawmarks on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

The first issue I have is with the shott. The seats are hideously uncomfortable, and very close to the seat in front of them. The cupholders they have installed take up what little room there is for your knee making it even more uncomfortable. I won’t be going to any more concerts at the shott. As for the heart concert, Cheap Trick was surprisingly terrible. The sound was really weird for about the first four songs and it was kind of a disappointment to me. I was concerned about heart, but they were absolutely fantastic. The band assembled was great, the sound was great, and it was just a wonderful show. I’d go see heart again anytime but Cheap Trick, that’s a past for me and the shott, that’s a pass for me too.

    Heart/Cheap Trick

    by WhiskeyJar69 on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Awesome concert. Both bands sound great. I always enjoy Cheap Trick because they always play a few deep tracks. My second time seeing Heart. Ann’s voice is still amazing. Love when she sings Led Zeppelin. She covers them so well.

Old and needed lot of breaks

by Went to show on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

I went to show. They has bass ip so loud couldn’t hear singing. Then when heart was out the singer couldn’t sing bery long and needed breaks. Obvious she is older and cant sing very long. Or stage is way out if date obvious from when first singing. No money put into it. Way out of date.

The Wilson sisters are a powerhouse!

by Heart/Cheap Trick still got it on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Opener. Cheap track is one of my personal favorite bands. It took them about three songs to get the mix right and then they kicked a ton of butt. They did a one hour set mixed in a deep track or two played all the hits and favorites. At the crowd rocking. Xander can still pull off almost any note. Anne Wilson sounds as good as ever. So does Nancy. They have a bunch of hot shots on stage with them and they pull off every song you can imagine and then some and it was incredibly entertaining and well done. They may not move around as much these days but those voices are fantastic. This is a good tour. Had a great time. They delivered the goods played for almost 2 hours.

    Fantastic Show

by Deblmt on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Experienced a fantastic show in Columbus. They sounded great. Ann can belt out those vocals like she always could. Ageless vocals between Ann and Nancy. I highly recommend this concert if your able. Nice trio down memory lane with like minded peers. Fantastic.

    Good show

by Just my opinion on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Cheap Trick did not sound good. Who ever was working the sound board needed to do a better job. Heart sounded great and put a very good show on. Amazing how they sounded as good as they did in the 70s.

Sounded great. Didn’t play the hits.

by JS on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

While HEART did play some of their hits. They omitted other that I was honestly surprised of. Could have done without the 5min guitar solos and would have rather had heard hits like Alone, and All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You. Anne and Nancy still sound great though so that was definitely a plus.

Amazing - Anne and Nancy Wilson are fantastic.

by deb on 5/18/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Anne has a tremendous vocal range. Loved her solo that was then, this is now. Nancy rocks on the acoustic guitar and her tribute to van halen was first rate. Remembered how many great hit they have had over the years! Bravo Ladies!
