Ginuwine was fantastic
by Rocky on 12/16/23Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitI had a good time at the concert. Ginuwine did a good job. He's a good performer and he's still a very good dancer.

After spending much of 2013 focusing on his R&B supergroup TGT -- which also features Tyrese and Tank -- Ginuwine shifted his attention to his solo work with the planned 2014 release of a new album titled Old School Young -- his first solo recording since 2011's Elgin. His successful stint with TGT included the release of an album titled Three Kings, which hit No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart, and a tour that had fans snapping up tickets for concerts in major performing arts centers.
Ginuwine, born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, is a native of Washington, D.C. who grew up listening to the music of Michael Jackson and Prince, which inspired him to begin performing. After he was discovered by the R&B group Jodici in 1996, he was signed by Epic Records and released his debut album, titled Ginuwine... The Bachelor. It spawned the hit single "Pony," which is a good example of his influential brand of hip-hop soul. Among the other hits in Ginuwine's catalog, which inspired young stars like Ne-Yo and Chris Brown, are "Differences," "In Those Jeans," and "So Anxious."
I had a good time at the concert. Ginuwine did a good job. He's a good performer and he's still a very good dancer.
He seemed really happy to be there performing. It really showed he laughed and smiled a lot. I loved it. He had to calm down a fight because he told everyone who could sing to come to the front. Obviously the front row paid to be there and a few were upset. Everything was smoothed over quickly. However his more popular songs he had the audience singing more than him. In the beginning he was dancing also. He didn't dance to his greatest hit of all time (pony) or remove his shirt. He didn't sing my favorite song "love you more". Towards the end the concert seemed to be rushed. He only performed for about an hr.
Ginuwine put on an amazing show! He performed all of his hits and sounded amazing. He was fun, interactive with the crowd, smooth and sexy. I had a great time. He has so many hits, I just wished he performed a little bit longer. He has such a great catalog but he covered all the basis. Great show!
He only performed for a hour it should have been two for the money I paid
Although it could've lasted longer I still enjoyed the show
Ginuwine's entire show was full of energy as he delivered back to back hits that span his career. Great show and worth the money!
Although the show only lasted an hour, he really engaged with the audience and put on a good performance.
DIDN'T LIKE THE OPENING ACT BUT GINUWINE WAS GREAT!!! GREAT SHOW IN JERSEY!!!
The performers that sang before Ginuwine were great. I think the name of the group was TruSoul. They got the crowd hyped. Ginuwine was absolutely amazing. He sounds and look the same as he did when he first started. He had so much energy. His voice is great. He looks as handsome as ever. I would definitely go to see him again. I am an avid concert goer and this was one of my favorites. I highly recommend going to one of his shows if you want to see a true entertainer perform.
Ginuwine did his thing!!! He truly showed up and showed out!!!
Ginuwine still got it his performance was awesome and his looks match . I'd go see him over and over again
Ginuwine was everything that I'd thought that he'd be! Not only was his vocals amazing, his humbleness radiated!
Really enjoyed my first time experience with Ginuwine always was a dream of mines
I don’t have enough good words to say about Ginuwine - he is such a great talent & has a kind energy that we all felt in that venue. Don’t ever think twice on seeing him perform if he’s nearby, the show will give you LIFE. I also caught his sweat towel, so I’m a little biased! 😂
He put on a great stage performance! I just wish the was a merchandise table and a chance for a meet and greet, other wise I can t complain.
Ginuwine forever gives a fantastic performance. His music is just as relevant today as it was back in the '90's. Please consider having him return to HardRock ASAP but this time can we PLEASE have a meet-and-greet!!!!!
Everything was nice at the concert with 2 exceptions-the audience standing up & blocking other ticket holders' view and Ginuwine. From his opening video, which i still do not understand the relevance, to his only singing literally a handful of songs (& he didn't sound great) to his not dancing to his most popular song "Pony," his performance was underwhelming at best. I really wanted my money back.
Great line up, I'd seen both acts before. I really enjoyed Next with them being from Gary they were excellent.
The event started 1.5 hour late but yet they rushed the acts off the stage! NEXT’s music was cut off because their time was up so they sang a capella. Well now we know for sure all of the group can actually sing for real! Ginuwine performed about 4 songs. This event should’ve been longer since it started late. Both performances were nice. I enjoyed their energy. The room was clean. Should’ve been longer that’s all.
The show featured NEXT and Ginuwine. Let me tell you ALL the men are still on their A Game. Like they say age ain't nothing but a number. NEXT they were on point and even sang acapella. One member of the group NEXT even mentioned that he had the flu, but was still able to push through. I commend them for that. You could not tell that he was sick. RL's vocals are still amazing, he took me to church. Ginuwine oh my still fine. Whenever this man comes to my area I go to his concert, no excuses. His vocals are still good as well and he was very engaging with the ladies and we love that. He had back up dancers and a full band. I like the fact that Ginuwine always changes his show up. I see him almost every year and he always adds something different. He keeps things fresh. I LOVED the opening video that Ginuwine had, it was new and creative. It told a story to the audience and got us HYPED UP for him too come out.
