With 2013's Make A Move -- his fifth studio album in just 10 years -- Gavin DeGraw celebrated his fourth Top 20 appearance on the Billboard 200. An Irish contemporary rocker with a folksy vibe, DeGraw has earned a reputation as a consummate live performer, winning over ticket buyers with his charismatic presence and soulful voice. DeGraw shot to fame in 2004 with "I Don't Want To Be," a millennial anthem that became the theme song for CW teen drama One Tree Hill. His relationship with television continued unabated throughout the 2000's, with tracks being featured on shows including House, The Bachelor and So You Think You Can Dance. DeGraw's early work offered an authentic soul sound that contrasted with much of its radio brethren at the time -- his 2003 debut album Chariot spawned a the hit single of the same name, firmly establishing him as a modern torchbearer of blue-eyed soul. On the road in 2013 and beyond, DeGraw has drawn praise for his heartfelt live concerts where he's maxed capacity at Varsity Theater (Minneapolis) and other such venues.
It was more than expected.. Best concert we have been to in a long time.. After the concert Gavin made time to come out and greet each one of us personally and was very nice.. That alone made a huge impression..
Not only was the venue very intimate feeling, but Gavin made it feel like it was an intimate show with his fans. He was so kind and signed autographs and took pictures afterwards!

I saw him this past summer in Birmingham. First time seeing him, but won’t be my last. If you love good, soul music - someone who is fully invested in what they do, you’ll love him & his music. I had only been listening to him for 2-3 yrs, and he dethroned Eric Church as my fave 😎
First of all, I’ve been a big fan of Gavin Degraw for years. I’ve always missed out seeing him live and I finally got to add the experience to my top concert memories. What a great show! A great guy and a great night!

Gavin is always amazing to see live. He pulled out some old songs this time around that his true fans know and love. The band really jammed right along with him and you could tell that they all really enjoy performing. I can't wait to see him on your again
Gavin DeGraw is truly THE BEST!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the concert and cannot wait to see him again! I was also super excited that he finally came to Detroit because I have always had to travel to see him. The concert was high energy and just a really fun time!!
The venue felt intimate and he filled the space with his positive energy. I've listened to him for years and this was my first time seeing him in live. I would not hesitate to see Gavin Degraw again and again. He knows how to deliver a wonderful performance, interacting with his fans and even with his fan's plus ones.
First time at this venue, and it is arch a great place to see a show -perfect seats. Such a great show. Gavin was amazing and loves to work the crowd. Played all the favorites. Love him!
Gavin DeGraw put on one heck of an amazing concert. The venue was quick and easy to get to. The acoustics were absolutely wonderful. There wasn’t a bad seat in the whole place. He was energetic and entertaining. Once in a lifetime experience.
His talent shines through- as one of the most underappreciated musicians out there, everyone- even the people in the crowd that didn't adore him like the majority of us- were confirmed into Gavin lovers after the concert. My husband begrudgingly attended with me & by the end, he was standing, clapping & telling me "Wow I had no idea he did all those songs etc"I LOVED the small venue (Soundboard in Detroit) and that I was surrounded by others who loved us some Gavin together! What an amazing vocalist live-- he is such an amazing person and talent. I will ALWAYS go see him when in Michigan!
I have never been to the Sound Board before. It is a small unique concert experience. Gavin Degraw put on an incredible performance. It felt very intimate in such a small setting. He even was out in the crowd for a song. Such a high energy show. I will be back to the Sound Board for more shows and more Gavin concerts.
My friend and I have seen Gavin DeGraw perform since our college years in the early 2000s, and it's always a joyful experience. Gavin and the band seemed to be having a wonderful time on stage. From the early hits like "Follow Through"and "Chariot"to his latest album and a couple of Lennon and McCartney covers, Gavin had everyone singing along and having a great time. The Sound Board venue is a great place to see a show, especially on the floor. It's also so convenient to have free parking right by the entrance to the theater. The staff at Sound Board were friendly and helpful. We'll never miss a Gavin show!
Such an amazing experience. I lost my voice from singing so hard! I love him so much, his voice is so beautiful live, just like his recorded songs. It was a dream
I have seen Gavin before but this one was truly amazing. Even though I didn’t have a seat. It was truly an amazing show!!!! He raised the energy level and kept us on our toes!!! I now love his music even more!!

This was hands down the best concert I’ve ever been to. It far surpassed my expectations. I love all of Gavin’s music, he puts on a great show, and the venue was perfect. It will definitely not be the last Gavin Degraw concert I go to. And Iron City is a great place to take in a show!
