Deanna has incredible talent and an unforgettable presence. She was so wonderful after the show as well, meeting and greeting everyone and hugging anyone that would have it. I hope to see her time and again when she visits Michigan.
It was Sunday night. It was Father's Day. Less than 100 people were there. I took my family to see her and she played her heart out. I've never seen anybody play a piano like that and then she soloed on the sax. The band was great and on the way home my daughters said, "Thanks dad. She was great!"
For more than 2 hours, the unforgettable Deanna Bogart band filled the Ark with excitement. Just when we thought they couldn't possibly take a piece to a higher level, they did. And when we expected they would pause for breath, they were starting the intro to the next number. My wife calls her a "force of nature." My friend observed she comes with her own weather system! From Boogie Woogie to blues, from rock to funk, Deanna Bogart has the energy of 10. Why is she not recognized as a superstar by the general public? She puts on a show like no other! You know her piano will heave a sigh of relief when show ends. Her saxophone riffs are brilliant. This is a great band! The range and power of her lead guitarist enhances and urges Deanna to greater heights. The audience begged for encores until WE were exhausted from clapping hands together, stomping our feet, beating time to the rhythms and shouting out! Last night was a magical, unbelieveable whirlwind, and totally satisfying.
Tom Principato was GREAT! I had forgotten what an excellent guitarist he is! I would definitely go to see him again. Deanna Bogart, not so much. I thought her performance was rather sloppy - it looked and sounded as if she had never played with this band before. She certainly can play the keyboard, so perhaps I just don't care for her style. Come to think of it, I definitely don't care for her style.
Fantastic show. Would have liked to hear the two bands jam together. Tom Principato on guitar; Deanna Bogart & crew on keyboards and tenor sax; all that was missing was a harp man and Danny Gatton to do Harlem Nocturne with Tom. Danny and Roy (Buchanan) were definitely there in spirit as part of them is eternally present whenever Tom wields his axe.

Deanna Bogart fantastic. Amazing voice to go with amazing musical talent. Have seen her 4 times in last year and would like to see a little new material but love what she does so i didn't suffer! Tom okay, played WAY too long. Deanna being the headliner I would have expected Tom to play for 1/2 hour or so and her longer. Instead he played one hour and 15 minutes - waaaaay too long and she played only an hour. His songs started to sound all the same after about 45 min. and some of them went on and on and on. I got bored.
