This was my very first concert and it was amazing!

by RRitz on 3/30/12Turning Stone Resort & Casino Showroom - Verona

Davy was very good and sounded just as I remembered him as a teenager! I truly enjoyed the concert and was extremely saddened about his passing only a week or so later.

    An oldie but a goodie

by 5rubies on 2/20/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I was so looking forward to seeing Davey Jones in person and I wasn't disappointed by his performance because his voice is still very good. He talked a little too much yet was funny but wanted to hear more of his "Monkees" tunes which he of course saved for last. I was not pleased that he snuck out on his fans who stayed over an hour after the show to see him. I wanted Davey to sign my Then and Now album which I already had Peter Tork and wanted to get his too! But his "people" kept directing the few fans that remained to areas where he was not and the feeling I got was that he didn't care and took off and wanting to get rid of us! Wish I had a picture to upload for the review but couldn't get any except far away because my seat was thr farthest from the stage.

    Davy Is Great!

by JeannieDfromSI on 2/20/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Davy Jones was his usual wonderful self. He sang all the songs we grew up on and loved. He sang some standards that he grew up hearing. He is devilishly hysterical and if he ever decides to stop singing, he could do stand up. I can't wait to see him again. God Bless you, David.

    Still Rocking!!

by JennLZH on 2/20/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Davy mixed stories and his classic song from the Monkeee and his own flair. Still handsome and humble made everyone feel so warm and welcome! The room was on their feet and laughing along! I enjoyed the food and every minute! Been a fan since I was a little girl!

Outstanding. Great performer. Loved all the old songs. Great comedian. With my eyes closed I swore I heard the original Monkeys playing. Would catch the show again if it's somewhere nearby. Took my wife as a surprise birthday present. She loved it.

    OLD TIMES REUNITED

by PAPERLATE on 9/14/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

It was nice to see Davey Jones of The Monkees and David Cassidy of the Parttridge Family reunited .It was like old times reunited again. I personally think that Davey Jones did a better QUALITY performance/concert th David together than he did with the other two Monkees at their shows that I also saw at Morristown, NJ. and Hershey, PA. They both dedicated more time to the show and song lists and even did a couple of duos together on songs like 'I AM A BELIEVER". David Cassidy, who opened up, even did some of his old hits like, 'GET HAPPY', and "I Think I Love You".

    Davy Jones saved it

by ThatsJustMe on 9/12/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

The only reason it was such a great show was because of Davy Jones and his stage presence. I am not too much of a David Cassidy fan but it seemed like him and his 4-person band put their act together early that morning and rehearsed once at best. At several times of in the show he told one of the band members not to slow down. Isnt that something you go over when you rehearse? Also, and Im sure its not his fault, for the first 2 or 3 songs, David Cassidy's guitar didnt even work and he was throwing up his hands in anger. I really thought he was gonna walk off stage. Thats not being professional on his part and also poor electric setup on the stage crew's part. Arent they supposed to test those things first? And I really didnt care to hear about David Cassidy's time in jail either but hey, thats rock and roll. Davy Jones completely made up for it. He has amazing stage presence and had the crowd on the edge of their seats with every song. But here's where the show completely took a dive. I was one of the individuals who shelled out the extra cash for the meet and greet for The Monkees. When I heard they werent all going to be there, I assumed that Davy would definately be taking the time to meet the fans, kinda making up for the fact that the fellow Monkees would not be there too. The result of the oh so great meet and greet?? Him and David Cassidy sat on stools on stage for about 20-30 minutes, talked about random things, answered 7 or 8 questions and then called it a night.. Ummm I thought it was a meet and greet.. When did I meet or greet the artist? Never. Had I known it was gonna be such a disappointment, I would have saved my cash.
