Who is David Copperfield?
David Copperfield's career in magic began when he was 10 years old, performing in his New Jersey neighborhood as Davino the Boy Magician. By the age of 16, he was a member of the Society of American Magicians and teaching magic at New York University.
Copperfield's decades-long string of top-rated, Emmy-winning television specials began in 1977, where he performed his unprecedented feats and illusions before TV audiences.
When not performing live at such storied locations as the White House and in his own Broadway productions, Copperfield has shared his signature combination of storytelling, stagecraft and magic with audiences worldwide. First presented in 2003, David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion toured venues and sold-out arenas across the US and the world. It regularly runs at the David Copperfield Theater at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
This was such a fun show. Amazing magic. David interacted with the audience all the time and did tricks throughout the theater. So friendly and fun. Definitely recommend and would go back. Still thinking about some of those magic tricks and how he made the impossible....possible.
This was a very good show. Very well done. We are still thinking about how he managed to do some of the things he did.
David performs amazing illusions/magic. Nearly every "trick" had audience participants involved. they were the most amazed of anyone in the theatre. Expected a little more flash or showmanship from him. The disappearing and reappearing acts were incredible.
If you want a true Vegas show experience, it’s worth the ticket price. Fun atmosphere and nice resort where it’s hosted!
Simply an amazing experience. David Copperfield’s acts are simply breathtaking. He’s so warm, interactive and witty you can’t believe you’re in the presence of a living legend. We loved them and want to go back!
Had an incredible time!! Shaw was totally amazing and well worth the money. Highly suggest it. We are in our mid sixties and we're totally enthralled with the show. Next to us were two young boys and we thought their eye were going to pop out of their heads as they were totally amazed!!! If you get the change go we it!!! I think mot lol the seat would be great!

Literally, we have no idea how he does it. The whole show has a really good story and a message.
Can’t believe how awful this show was. The magic was minimal and the acts were boring. Any average person could figure out the simplest answer to the tricks. Aliens overtook the show. So dumb!
My 4th visit in about 6 years. It is always a bit different but as fun and exciting as ever. The audience participation adds a fun dimension to the show. This has an early show and a late show so we were able to make a 2nd show in one night which was helpful for only 2 night in Vegas.
A show almost entirely devoid of magic and a lot of talk. The maggots he does, have already done so many other magicians before it is already pathetic
Amazing A must watch Show Worth every penny He is great
After the shock at seeing how terrible the theater was for the show-beat up hard bar chairs, tiny old tables-2 feet in diameter that were to hold 4 people, there was the shock of the show itself. No great tricks or illusions, a great deal of lame audience participation and a half hour spent on David talking to a small puppet alien-endlessly. People were looking at each other, some wanted to leave, some were angry. After truly enjoyed seeing him in Vegas and New York years ago with terrific illusions, this was some sort of sad trick on the audience-a very expensive one! What was he thinking of doing something like this?
I have been to Vegas several times and have watched many shows. And I have to say that David Copperfield show is the worst one I have seen to date. I’m sure in his prime he was a great illusionist, but there was a lot of dialogue and very little magic or illusions. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone and I regret attending this show
I saw this show a couple years ago and am still disappointed. We saw him about 20 years ago in San Francisco and he was FANTASTIC. Needless to say, I was very excited to take my kids to see him. WOW! What a let down! I was concerned when everyone coming out of the show before ours had stoic faces. No one was smiling. The first 10 minutes was a video showing all the shows that have ever said his name. He did tricks that we have seen for years and a few that my young son could do. He never smiled. He looked bored and not engaging. Later that evening, I heard a lady talking about a show that was terrible. I turned and asked if she was talking about David Copperfield. She was shocked to see that I knew who she was talking about. Don't spend your money. He needs to retire.
David Copperfield is a legend that I grew up idolizing and to ME the performance did not deliver. Without going into specifics and ruining the show, aspects felt corny, the monologues seemed phoned in, and the entire time I kept asking myself, "why is THIS" what they have come up with for the storyline of this show, it makes no sense to me. Sorry!
He’s so tired of doing this show it made me tired and sad to watch it. Sure, the magic is cool, but the dialogue is like listening to someone read a boring menu . The bit with the “alien” made me yawn. Time for some new tricks! Go watch Nathen Burton at the Miracle Mile Mall and get inspired again! Here’s someone who still has the fire in his belly! I saw David Copperfield 14 years or so ago in Atlanta and thought it was the best show I’d ever ever seen. Saturday Night’s show- not so much.
Could figure out the illussion, David better more up his sleeve. Ticket master, dont charge so much please ...... Lucky its me.
Definitely fun and amazing for both kids and adults. All seats are great. Straight tables a lil more comfortable than the round tables- kinda cramped. Great show!!!
I was in total amazement with David Copperfield's superior skills of illusions and overall showmanship in front of the audience. Everyone in the audience was engaged throughout the entire magic show. I highly recommend seeing the David Copperfield show to anyone visiting Las Vegas.
