    Pleasantly Disappointed

by CJandFam on 9/28/12Eldorado Casino - Reno

David Cook, the headliner, was a big disappointment for our family. Gavin was sensational and I wish I would have left when he was done and I would not have had to experience David poor attitude.

Gavin good, Cook was weak, Carolina Liar worse

by LiveMusicAddict2 on 3/20/12Humphrey's By the Bay - San Diego

We had never seen Gavin DeGraw live and liked a few of his songs. We were primarily going because we liked a lot of David Cook's music and hadn't seen him live since Idol. Very disappointing. Seemed like he was more distracted trying to figure out how many people were there to see him vs Gavin. Cook's at his best singing his inspirational songs and sang none of them. Besides "Light On" he ignored the hits that helped him sell a million records for his debut. He was very impersonal and cocky. Must have been a bad night. Gavin DeGraw was impressive. Entertaining and positive. Cook should have taken a lesson in showmanship. Carolina Liar were better a year ago when we saw them open for Rob Thomas in Detroit. They're done.

    One of my favorite concerts!!!

by JRock09 on 1/2/12The Fox Theater - Pomona - Pomona

With as many concerts as I've been to, this is one of my faves. I never realized how many songs I knew of Gavin Degraws!!! He is sexy in his performance as well as a voice. I was more excited to see David, his last concert from 2 years ago made me a fan for life! He is soo passionate and can rock a crowd. He got the public up and moving after we were serended by Degraw's voice! Love these two, if you get a chance to see them, you must!!!

    DAVID COOK=amazing. BEST SHOW EVER

    by AK0001 on 12/16/11Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

Not a single complaint about David Cook here...third time I have seen him in concert, and he truly keeps getting better...His band killed it too. First time I have ever paid $ for VIP experience--so worth it! Sound check+meet and greet with your favorite artist = priceless. Show was a mix of mostly his new stuff, some of his old, Muse cover (not sure how you do Muse better than Muse, but he pulled that one off), Zeppelin (you can't out-Zeppelin Zeppelin, but it's commendable when you can hang on their song, and sound awesome doing it). Taft was the perfect venue, small enough for DC to go fully unplugged on "Fade Into Me". Which may have just been the single best concert performance I have ever seen. Oh yeah, and Carolina Liar and Gavin Degraw? Well, I went to this show strictly to see DC, and came away with a newfound appreciation for both. If I could give this concert ten stars, I would.

    DeGraw & Cook Amazing

by MommaSmo on 12/3/11Showbox SODO - Seattle

The concert was amazing and the Showbox Sodo is a great place for a concert. The bar has great drinks and food while you wait for the concert area to open. You can stand within 3 feet of the stage, sit back by the bar or choose to stand back from the crowd. No matter where you choose to view the concert from you will have a great view. Both DeGraw and Cook put on a great concert. DeGraw is quiet the showman.

    Gavin DeGraw was Ah-mazing!!!

    by LilBit22 on 11/28/11Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

I loved Gavin Degraw, he's my second favorite artist! Loved his energy, even though he said he was sick. Loved that his Sweeter album is getting back to his original sound. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because his opening bands (David Cook and Carolina Liar) weren't that great. David Cook had his moments, but Gavin was amazing the whole show.

They were incredible! Maybe the best concert!

by shjohns2 on 11/17/11Wait Chapel at Wake Forest University - Winston-Salem

Both David and Gavin were incredible--even though their genres of music are different, they went together very well. David went first, and he was amazing...playing some of his most famous songs from AI days and his more present CD, interacting with the audience, and having as much fun as we were...he was fantastic, and I would go to see him again, anytime! Gavin was equally as good...he was a little sick, so the meet & greets were canceled (which didn't impact me), but his voice was still fantastic...he sang some of his best songs, ending with bigger-dance songs, so that the audience was singing and dancing along with him. He was fantastic. The concert was held on the campus of Wake Forest University at their chapel, and the seating was not that great--it was general admission, the seats were not theater seating, and the location was hard to find because the wrong location was listed on Ticketmaster, but I was able to get a good seat, and thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I highly recommend it!!
