One of the most popular and highly recognized standup comedians on the road today has also
made quite an impression in the television and radio arena.
In 1999, D.L., along with comedians Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer,
embarked on this national tour, which sold out most of the major concert arenas in over 50 cities across
the country. The tour went on to gross a staggering $37 million dollars nationwide. Spike Lee, eager to
expose the tour to a larger audience, made a docu-film of the tour, and it was released nationwide to
rave reviews.
Hughley spent four successful years starring in his own sitcom "The Hughleys" and showed no
signs of slowing down. It was the mega-hit,"The Original Kings of Comedy" that launched D.L into
superstardom. The film, based on the 1999 tour featuring D.L., Bernie, Steve and Cedric, garnered
close to $40 million dollars at the box office and became one of the highest selling DVDs in 2001.
In addition to some exciting television developments, D.L. took a serious turn with his work,
starring in the drama "Shackles". Hughley wowed audiences in 2001 in "The Brothers", co-starred in
"Cloud Nine" opposite Burt Reynolds and also starred in the film "Doubting Thomas".
In 2005-2006, D.L., hosted his own late night talk show for Comedy Central "Weekends at the
DL"; his first foray into late night hosting.
D.L.'s creative arsenal is non-stop. He starred as "Simon Stiles" on the Aaron Sorkin drama
series for NBC "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and hosted the popular BET hidden camera reality
series, "S.O.B. - Socially Offensive Behavior". In 2006, D.L. also starred in his own HBO comedy
special entitled,"Unapologetic". The special, which aired to excellent reviews, is now available on
DVD. Following the success of the special, D.L. went on to host the second season of HBO's "Def
Comedy Jam" and served as host of the BET Awards in 2008.
Most recently, D.L. served as host of his own late night talk show on CNN "D.L. Hughley
Breaks the News". Proving he could, indeed, break news, D.L. was able to uncover startling, newsmaking
comments from such guests as former White House Press Secretaries Scott McClellan and Ari
Fleischer, as well as a recent controversy-stirring comment from RNC Michael Steele.
D.L. can currently be heard on the New York airwaves, as the host of the morning show on
WYKS-FM. In just a few months on air, D.L. has managed to increase the listenership for the station.
D.L. has undoubtedly proved himself as one of the hardest working men in showbiz. In addition to his
growing TV and film resume, D.L. continues his reign on the standup comedy front; filling out concert
halls and headlining comedy clubs across the country.
What a great time for all! The first comedian was extremely talented named Bodacious he got started and rolled into a comedy tidal wave of laughter that had the audience crying in stitches. He definitely will headline soon! DL was amazing đ€© his comedy is on point and makes you think about what is said. I think he is a once in a lifetime talent that we are fortunate enough to be blessed with. Too funny đ
I enjoyed the opening act almost as much as DL. But I love DL!
I bought my tickets several months prior to the show, Im so glad I did! DL has always been on of my favorite comedians so it was nice to finally see him in person. SUPER FUNNY, I had to massage my cheeks from laughing so much lol his opening act was really good as well. My husband had to work so he couldn't make it so when DL comes back to the Sacramento area Ill be getting more tickets so my husband can get the DL experience!

Nice clean venue. There was a concession stand nearby to buy food or drinks and the ushers were helpful with guiding me to my seated section.
The show was hilarious from start to finish. D.L. did not disappoint and the opener (Bo) was funny. We laughed the entire night.

With two funny opening acts DL comes out swinging. His political views and observations on people mixed perfectly and I laughed my eyeliner off! I'd see him again and again
I expected DL Hughley to put on a better show kind of like the show we had back in the day with Kings of comedy. DL is still very funny however his material at the end of the show with trying to work the crowd was not very funny. It seem like heâs opening act upstaged him, Come On man you can do better then that.

This was one of the best comedy shows I've ever seen! D.L. was incredibly as were both of his openers. I laughed the entire night and had a blast. DO NOT MISS HIM WHEN HE COMES TO YOUR TOWN!
This guy was hilarious, I never saw him in concert but I have watched him on Netflix. I was able to go back stage with him and he put a big smile on my face. Such a true gentleman. The only thing I was disappointed about he was not treated like comedy Royalty, there was no food for after the show in his area. I will definitely make sure next time he is treated with better hospitality because he is a King in Comedy and we need to acknowledge that. Anyways I truly respect and love this brother.

Great show featuring Rickey Smiley. Our local talent gave us all non-stop laugher, and when D.L. came out he energized the crowd to a whole nother level.
The show started on time. The comedians were hilarious. The variety of drinks were good. Wish there was better snacks but overall a really good show and a good time was had.
