About

Chris Stapleton was a fixture of the Nashville music scene long before becoming a contemporary torchbearer for outlaw country music. The Kentucky native moved to the Music City in 2001 and served as frontman for The SteelDrivers and The Jompson Brothers while writing songs for Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and more. Stapleton unveiled his debut solo album Traveller in 2015 behind singles like “Nobody to Blame” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “Tennessee Whiskey.” The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 six months after its release and has since been RIAA-certified platinum six times. In 2017, Stapleton released the two-volume effort From a Room, and his fourth full-length Starting Over followed in 2020. Stapleton has won eight Grammys and received two additional nominations in 2023 for his fifth album, Higher. Aside from working alongside country music heavyweights like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack and Morgan Wallen, Stapleton has also shared the mic with pop elites such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Justin Timberlake, P!NK and Ed Sheeran.

    Worst Concert Venue Ever!

by Disappointed Fan on 4/10/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Let me start by saying my disappointment has nothing to do with Chris Stapleton, he is amazing! US Bank stadium should NEVER be used for a concert venue! The sound is terrible! You couldn’t understand anything the artist said. And there was an echo and the sound was too quiet. Who ever says that about a concert? You could see nothing! They had small screens down on the sides of the stage and did not use the big screen! Plus the whole thing is glass so it was light out, the sun in your eyes and they has some cheep terrible looking curtains hanging on the ends trying to block some light. There are very few hotels and restaurants in walking distance. Parking is a nightmare. Ubers wouldn’t even come pick people up because the traffic and lack of traffic control when 40,000+ people are leaving was ridiculous. Artists need to stop using this venue just because it holds more people! Have some standards about the sound quality of your stadium! I have never been so disappointed with a concert and would NEVER return to US Bank Stadium.

    Well Rounded Show

by Hammer Ltd on 4/10/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

a well-rounded setlist, catering to both longtime fans who love his classic hits and those who appreciate his newer material."Tennessee Whiskey"is undeniably one of Chris Stapleton's most iconic songs. Its soulful melody and heartfelt lyrics have resonated with many listeners. It was a memorable moment when he performed it live at the concert.

    Fix the Sound

by Half Good on 4/10/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Couldn’t hear or understand much from the first 2 singers. Half the reason we were there (me and my 21 year old granddaughter) was to hear Lainey. An employee told us they don’t turn on all the speakers until the headliner comes on (not cool) and Chris sounded great!!! So…if you’re looking for half a concert… will have to be someone pretty special to get us there again

    Poor performance

by Chachat on 4/10/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Chris Stapleton did not put on a show for his audience that didn’t spend the big bucks for better seats. He didn’t have the foresight to think that people up high would like to have larger visibility and use the large monitors as well as the monitors throughout the common areas. The acoustics in the stadium is horrible. And for $150 a seat that seems to be the most affordable for people people the concert fell flat. I don’t even really know who we saw up there because it was really unimpressive.

First Time But Won’t Be The Last

by LW on 4/10/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Before the concert…sure I knew of Chris Stapleton but wouldn’t necessarily call myself a fan. Was asked if I wanted to go, so why not. His show doesn’t have a lot of flashy production to it but he doesn’t need it with a voice like he’s got. Great concert and you can consider me a fan! One thing I wish is that the concerts wouldn’t be held in stadiums. They just don’t have very good sound. He didn’t talk a lot but when he did I couldn’t understand what he was saying.

    Horrible acoustics

by Denise on 4/10/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

This was a bucket list for me. I took my husband, my son and my daughter-in-law with me…. I can honestly tell you that none of us will ever go back to that stadium for a music concert. I have talked to and heard from several friends and family members that they have all had the same type of experience, at that venue….very sad, to spend way more than I ever have on tickets, to have it turn out that way :-(

    Never disappoints

by Concert junkie on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

What can I say, it’s Chris Stapleton!! He never disappoints his audience. What a great singer/songwriter. The venue was disappointing though. We were in the last row of a section. People behind us leaning on a ledge talking the whole time. Why weren’t they made to take their seats?!?!?!

by Nmr on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

    Great Artists/Terrible Concert

by Jason on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

We purchased 4 tickets to Chris Stapleton/Lainey Wilson. Looking at seat map, tickets were on side front of the stage. There were no warnings/statements about obstructed view. We could not see the stage or any band members. We only saw the lead singer when they came out to the very edge of the stage on our side a couple times. The entire side of the stage had a curtain over it which was our entire view. There was one small screen that showed the artist. Not sure why they would not have broadcasted it on the large screens. The sound and acoustics in US Bank Stadium was terrible. Not loud. Hard to make out words. What a terrible first experience at US Bank Stadium for such great artists. Venue might be good for football, but not this concert. I will never see a concert at this venue again. So frustrating and disappointing.

    Great concert!

by Sweetie on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

The entertainment was amazing! The length of performances was truly impressive! The start time on the ticket was misleading. No one really knew what time the show would start. Ticket stated a 5:00 start. We were hostages in the stadium for 90 minutes before the show started. It was impressive they changed stage in between each performance in just 20 minutes. The sound in US bank stadium was not good. I would never go there again for a concert. The screens and camera work were also not great. Jumbo screens were not used. We were limited to small screen and often the camera panned o view that was obscured by the lightbulbs that lined the front the stage.

    Chris is great!

by NMA on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Chris was amazing! He is authentic and genuine. I would highly recommend seeing him in concert. I would not recommend US Bank stadium for any concert as the acoustics are terrible at that stadium.

Great Music, Bad Tickets & Venue

by Mike on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

The performers were great, the music was awesome-5 stars. However, the expensive tickets we bought were not noted to be Obstructed View at the time of purchase. And US Bank Stadium needs to figure out how to improve the sound quality of concerts at their building. Ticketmaster and US Bank- You only get 1 star.

    Chris Stapleton Minneapolis show

by Coloradoskye on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Chris Stapleton was Awesome as always!! He is such an accomplished musician and vocalist, Chris always over delivers! The the entire show was fantastic. He had great opening acts, Lainey Wilson was incredible, and Marcus King was wonderful. Unfortunately, not the same can be said about the new US Bank Area in Minneapolis. It is a beautiful stadium and a great place to watch sporting events, it is however not the place to be for a music event. The sound system and acoustics are awful, the sound system distorts the sounds and the acoustics causes everything to echo. Not worthy of these great musical acts.

    Not so good

by Chris fan on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

We had floor seats. The stage was in the floor. I'm short. That's about all you need to know. The acoustics sucked. I've been to many other concerts, this venue did not leave a good impression. Even the very nice guide who showed us to our parking garage said he had only heard 1 band sound good in US Bank Stadium and that was Garth Brooks a long time ago only because he brought his own sound crew who went thru the entire building making sure it was fine right. Won't be going back here again.

Good but could have been better

by Annette on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Everything was great except for the tiny screen on the sides of the stage that were worthless when the people in front of us stood up most of the time. Also, the sound was echoing so made it hard to understand what was being said. Otherwise the show was great, US bank stadium was awesome and everything went good.

Concerts at “The Bank” are awful

by DJ on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

The musical acts were great. The sound was mediocre. Getting into the show was a complete cattle call. Lines for the bathrooms and for alcohol are way too long. I’ll never go to a music show at “The Bank” again.

    Horrible Seats

by Bart on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

The concert itself was great, but the seats were horrible and should never have been sold! There was a tarp up on the side of the stage and the only way to see the concert was on a small screen that had been put up on the side. We left our seats after the opening act and stood the rest of the time so we could actually see the concert.

    Okay

by Jbeck on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

The concert and acts were great. Seating is tight. Wish there was screens up higher for viewing and the sound was not great it echoed very bad. If you don’t know the song you basically don’t know what they are saying..

    A musical master

by Neys Guys on 4/9/24U.S. Bank Stadium - Minneapolis

Chris Stapleton is talented beyond belief! We love that his performance is all about the music, not the show. Crazy good. Marcus King and Lainey Wilson were equally as good, however the sound in the stadium didn’t really work until it was fully seated when CS came on. Too big a venue for good sound if all the seats aren’t filled.
